Title: Bugs Bunny vs Japan!
Description: An old WWII Propaganda film

Steve - April 30, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
Yeah... I was poking 'round on the intarweb, and I wound this old WWII propaganda film... an old Bugs Bunny cartoon where he lands on a Tropical Island and matches wits with the Japanese Military. It's so over-the-top racist that it's *hilarious*. XD

This cartoon was banned post-WWII, so this may be your only chance to ever see it... XD Yay for controversial cartoons! However, if you're easily offended (AKA Don't have a sense of humour), you might not wanna watch this cartoon. xp

Ha, he called then Slant eyes and monkey face, thats funny. Never knew they made such references to anyone, but then again, I never really watched cartoons as a kid, before sensorship became second language to any channel normla cable offers.

Its a funny cartoon. I don't understand the little flag he has on a tree, then he paints a bigger one, then paints a million all over. That just confused me.

That was soooo funny!! :P It just so happens that we're learning about WWII in history class right now. It's amazing how they took things as innocent as cartoons and used them for propaganda and war stuffs.

Then again, Looney Toons wasn't even all that inncoent to begin with...

Knowing the time in which this was made, I'll choose to be only mildly offended. Our side had its fair share of propaganda as well, after all.

>_> But suffice it to say I am offended with the term "monkey face", at least. I mean, there are a lot of kinds of monkeys... I happen to have a chimpanzee face ;)
