I'm really surprised at this, but with the Blue-Ray technology it was going to happen.

Don’t forget Sony’s all new feature! Their controller now has a tilt sensor in it! It can actually sense movement and use it to control things in game! OMGWTFBBQ!!!!! NEVER THOUGHT OF BEFORE!!!!

Seriously, this is Sony’s all time low. “Oh, yeah, we have this brand new controller which can sense how you tilt it! Innovation, anyone? Surely Nintendo no one has thought of this before! Oh, by the way, the base system costs $500, and the ultra deluxe model with 40GB more hard drive space is $600! Have fun!”

At least their little tilt gimmick can’t touch the Wiimote’s motion sensing. It will be impossible to use the PS3 controller as a gun or sword, my two more looked forward to uses of it, among several other actions.

Now, tomorrow is the day I’m looking forward to... At long last...

Personally I don't get why people are so worked up over "major innovations" and whatnot. For me, some of the most enjoyable games are the "normal games" and when I ask my friends with DS's if they have a "favourite" amongst their DS games which uses the touch screen really well (ie, integrates the normal countrols with the touch screen and/or pulls off an action one can't possible replicate using normal controls), they can't answer me.

As such, one could probably guess that I'm not worked up over the Wii's new controller either. People seem to be going nuts over the possibilities but I don't want to wave the controller around like a sword. The gun is a decent idea for the fact that you won't have to buy a light gun but for the most part the controller just makes me go "o_o".

I just want good games. If the console works and plays good games then that's fine by me. As it is I've been playing my old Nintendo (the big grey brick) a lot these days along with my old PSX games. I'm trying to track down a working SNES and copies of games I loved and so it should be pretty clear what I ask of from gaming. Good games :p

I will tell you this much, I will get an N64 or a PS2 LOOOOONG before I get a PS3. Not to mention you can count on buggy software and crashes..

Anyone remember PSX version 1? (The one with the RCA jacks on the back?)

I hate it, its too new for me, its scary. What happening to me button mashing? Now I how to stand up and swing the controler while I kick the air with the shoe controler was well as run on the spot, my fear of playing a game an not knowing it is going to come true soon.
I'm just going to stick with my turn base RPGs this time, no real time for me its too scary.

Oh the subject of that...Time magazine which appeared in the mail today for me has an article on the revolution. The author tried it out, and the concept is intriguing. And yes, LEGEND OF ZELDA. POINT BOW. AIM. PUSH BUTTON.

=O

I'm just worried about the accuracy of that thing.

My cousin had the old PSX.. and his dog ate his Spyro game. LOL

And I don't buy systems at launch.

I still have mine. Along with my 13 year old NES. Both still work perfectly fine xp

As for the PS3 (again), I'm not too fussed about initial price. I never buy a console at launch (virtually all of them have problems at the beginning no matter how minor/major they may be). I'd rather not have the tilt sensor in the controller though. I'm one of the nuts who freaks out and twists, turns and pretty much contorts their entire body in certain games which I'm pretty sure wouldn't work too well.

Anyway, another link showing some guy's blog of the event. It's pretty funny what with his commentary and all that:

I must confess the eyetoy card game thing had me a bit tickled, bringing out the TCGer in me.

Now now, you don't HAVE to play LoZ Twilight Princess on the Wii...it's for GCN with extra features....ah what the hell....I'm in! :]
