i went to the optometrist today and found out i had astigmatism
and short sighted ness. so im just wondering, how many people here have to waer glasses and for what reason (if you want to tell)

EDIT : i just relised i probably inherited the short sighted ness from my dad. (both him my brother and ma all have shortsighted ness, but they dont have astigmatism

I have astigmatism. But I don't have a strong case of it, so... even though I SHOULD wear my glasses, I rarely do. XD; They're okay, just they give me a headache after a while, since I never got myself used to wearing them. I'm terrible. >_>

I'm short-sighted, but not too badly. I wear glasses usually. They sit on the top of my head most of the time, though.

Righto then. I don't wear glasses, but I might in the furture because my long-term vision is getting a little fuzzy. But I will not accpet glasses until I lose the braces and lose atleast 10 pounds. >_>;

I wear glass3s at home sometimes, ..And when Im driving...Never have in school though...But people on my block know I were glasses, cause some times I wear em on my block too...

I'm pretty nearsighted, though I don't wear my glasses as much inside.

I always put them on top of my head and then forget they're there, to the point where if I can't find my glasses the first thing I do is check my head :p.

I'm near-sighted so I kinda have to wear some sort of eye wear for normal stuff. Usually in the mornings I don't put my contacts in, as they just go "AHHH TOO EARLY PAAAIIN" So until I have to do something I'll just squint at stuff far away. Other times I'll just wear my glasses all day or perhaps just half.

If I don't wear my glasses I'm pretty much blind. And I'm no contact candidate, for some odd reason (I can't remember xP) My nearsightedness is terrible OwO;

I wear glasses only after my showers, when I take off my contacts because the steam in my shower sticks them to my eyes... and its painful to take them off. If I wake up late, like as I type this, then I also wear glasses because my eyes are still tired, and won't let my contacts in...

Most of the time, I wear contacts. I look much better in them... and less geeky.

Without either one... which sometimes I can't find my glasses after the shower... then I'm completely blind... and it sucks. I spend five minutes of my life groping my tables for them.

I am very nearsighted, with just my normal eyes.. my vision starts to blur almost 3 feet away, I can't even see what I am typing without glasses.

However it wasn't until I was about 12 that this actually happened to me. I probably have an astigmatism, don't recall. When I first got glasses, I hated the idea of it, and tried so hard to not have to wear them.. but eventually, by the time I was in 8th grade, I couldn't fight it much. In 9th grade what I did was I didn't wear my glasses at all unless I actually had to see something, and that worked out, but after that and up to now, I don't even bother fighting it, the world is just too blury now that I wear glasses practically the entire day.

I've had to get my perscription upgraded to something stronger almost every year and a half to 2 years... because my eyes get even worse.. if I am anything like my father, eventually my eyes will be so bad I'll need glasses for seeing in the distance and reading glasses. My dad couldn't take that and got that lasik surgery, now he is effectivly farsighted, still needs reading glasses, but that is a much better deal I would think.. I imagine if I follow his path, I might end up doing something similar.

On a funny note, my entire family wears glasses at some point in the day, be it reading or perscription.

I wear glasses, but usally don't because I look far better without them. lol Although I got a new pair about a month ago, and they are very cool. Transition lenses rock!

I wear glasses and I have astigmatism. I don't wear contacts because, for the most part, it's easy to get infections in your eye when you're touching your eye constantly or fall asleep with the contacts, etc. Also I'm too lazy for contact cleaning.

Plus I like my glasses and I like guys who wear glasses, too. :D

im actually really excited to get em most of my life has been preety blurry but im looking forward to seeing things more clearly.(btw i hope these make me look smart but not geek-ish, that could get embarrising!!!)
