I would like to inquire into who placed me in the mod queue and if possible explain their reasoning.
In addition, anybody who approves this topic kindly reply to this topic because one of the staff members feels it is necessary for you to reply otherwise they will abuse their staff powers and delete this topic. Unfortunately their reasoning has little justification but I ask that you comply with that staff member.
kthxbai.
I did not personally add you to the mod queue, but I did approve of it. The purpose being, not negative posts so much, but posts that were found to be insulting and/or offensive to other members. After that, excessive bouts of negativity are thus thought of as implied rudeness to other members... Whether that itself is right or not remains debatable.
The posts in mod queue that I have disapproved of are ones that appeared to me to have no value whatsoever, in example, the posts you and Drk-X made for that Google topic basically poking fun at people because (as it appeared to me) you did not share their amusement on something as pointless as googling the word "the". You're entitled to your opinion, but so are they, and I could easily have seen someone being offended at those posts, so I thought it best they weren't posted at all.
If the other unapproved posts of yours follow that line of insulting others for no reason other than (as it appears to me) you or anyone else thinks they are 'lame' and can easily be made fun of, then they shouldn't be posted.
However, if the opinion is just one of a negative outlook and does not insult or offend another, I don't see any problem with it. Not every opinion can be positive, however, there are ways in which those opinions could be better stated...
I don't know if this better answers your question, but I hope it helps.
Now as for posts waiting approval that are just left for someone else to handle... I can't say I approve of that either. Staff members are staff because I trust they are fully capable of making decisions on their own. If they're not sure what to do, they should ask another staff member for his/her opinion, because if one staff member is confused about how to respond to something, why might another staff member not be confused by the same thing? It's a team effort too.
