Title: Zoids Magic Cards
K-62 - September 4, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
I am making some Zoids magic cards, only have one right now. I'll make more when I wake up. At the bottom of each card it says "By: Twan van Larrhoven" because he created the program I'm using.
Drk-X - September 4, 2004 04:15 AM (GMT)
he costs way too much mana...and why Blue Mana???
you should have given him first strike...if you havent noticed...all creatures with a blade have first strike...and maybe haste too...give him less toughness but make it so you can pay mana to give an ability like an E-Shield...a tap ability for that would be pointless though as it cant block after that...
oh, and is there any way that you can make cards using the old style, i hate the new style, it's just not MTG....the last set to use the old style was Scourge...
and you didnt need to put "block one per turn" as all creatures can only block one per turn anyways except Wall of Light...and creatures deal full damage when they block, not half....youre making him suck...
Atrophy Within - September 4, 2004 04:23 AM (GMT)
9 mana? I'm not much of a Magic freak, but thats way to much for only half damage and a block each turn. Indeed it's cool, I would love to see a full black or gree Zoid deck, but 9 mana is too much. You don't even start off with nine mana do you?
Again please note I'm not a Magic freak, yet. I have given up Zoids to an extent and am about to get into Magic. What are the colors for each deck mean? I mean one deck is green, blue, red, black, white, ect. What do those colors stand for? I really need to get myself a starter kit.
K-62, if you make enough Zoids cards, I would love to buy them if you can make them into real cards. I could just copy and print on crappy paper, but yeah... I would rather have a real card. Do you think you could make real cards out of them? I would love to buy them if you make like 20 different ones. Enchanted creatures, creatures, spells, ect all for Zoids. That would be cool. Organoids can be some type of power, strength or whatever increases the power of creatures. Block cards could be shield Liger's with the shield erect. Damn it, here I go getting all hopeful.
Anyways, if you want to make real cards, I will PAY you to make certain ones or ones you have already made and sell them to me. Whatever price you want and I'll pay shipping and handling as well as any costs to have them put on cards if it's possible. Lycan
EDIT:: Oh, and is there a program I can download to amke my own? Maybe the same one you're using? I would love to download it and make my own. Lycan
Drk-X - September 4, 2004 04:33 AM (GMT)
dont get the starter set...it's crap...the only good thing is thorn elemental...
i might as well explain the basics...basicallya deck is made up of lands, creatures, sorceries, instants, enchantments, artifacts, and artifact creatures...
Lands: your basic mana providing card. each one can be tapped to produce one mana a turn...if the mana isnt used by the end of turn, the mana will return to you and deal damage, called mana burn. dont tap unneeded lands. Islands produce blue-mana, plains produce white, swamps make black, forests make green, and mountains make red.
for mana costs, ill use the bladey as an example. It says 6 colorless and 3 blue mana...meaning it requires nine in all, 6 of any color, and 3 blue mana, which come from islands, or other cards that produce blue mana.
ALL decks need lands...although you dont need basic lands...you can have as many of the same basic lands as you want (i recommend 30 in a 60 card deck) but only four special lands like any other card (example: tainted island, which produces both black or blue as long as you control a swamp)
okay, as for colors...i recommend have only one color for a deck, although some people have two. having one guarantees you'll always have the right color mana producing lands..(btw, lands are colorless, the mana they create have color though...remember, mana is only temporary and must be used or burned back)
white tends to be good at defense and gaining life as well as healing
blue is good at using sorceries to either block spells, "rig" your deck (index or sage owl), and or control the opponent using handicaps from enchantments rather than brute force (which is why bladey is inappropiate for blue)
red is pure offense. it uses damage dealing sorceries and instants, and fast creatures with high power although they have low toughness. Red creatures tend to be cheap in cost while the finishers are very expensive and are for longer games
black is loss of life..basically, it uses creature abilities and spells to first totally screw the opponent over (loss of life spells, creature killing spells) and then uses creatures to finish the job...my personal favorite
green is all creatures and power boosting enchant creature spells...basically, you create an army, make it stronger, and keep attacking...
ill explain more later...
EDIT: BTW, the bladey's block ability is crap...dont make it sound like it's woth something...all creatures can block one to begin with, and you deal full damage in combat anyways...in this..bladey's only dealing half...
Hetman - September 4, 2004 04:43 AM (GMT)
Its expensive, and its a tank but what happens if you put 'Lure' on to the Blade Liger? I'm pretty sure its screwed.
Drk-X - September 4, 2004 04:45 AM (GMT)
lol, id love to see that happen
BTW
Taunting Elf (basically a one mana for a 0/1 elf with Lure's ability) + Venom = total ownage...
Capitila - September 4, 2004 08:32 AM (GMT)
Magic. T_T
My great dislike for the game aside, the card looks good. What program did you use?
Kirbymaster212 - September 4, 2004 01:18 PM (GMT)
Ive heard there are programs to make magic cards... I think my friend has it, i need to ask him. Overall the card looks good but its nothing like a blade liger should be. You dont want a blade liger to be a tank. I would say it should be anywere from 3-5 mana... and I dont know if it should be blue... maybe an artifact creature.... and change the abilities, power, and toughness too.
AND I LIKE THE NEW STYLE! I find it a lot better than the old one.
K-62 - September 4, 2004 01:25 PM (GMT)
Yes, there is a program, but it might not work on some systems, didn't work for some of my friend.
http://www.cabalcity.com/mc/programs.htmI also made a Gun Sniper

If possible can people help me make more cards by giving me info on Zoids, things in Zoids, and witty things their pilots say.
Drk-X - September 4, 2004 05:11 PM (GMT)
you made Gunsniper multicolor...yet you gave him the artifact creature look...multicolor cards are gold, not brown...and i think it would be better if you gave Gunsniper Prodigal Sorcerer's ability instead of the unblockable attack one since it makes more sense...
If you didnt know it's: tap= Deal one damage to target creature of player...
and a better quote would be one from Naomi Fluegel such as "I'm glad you did your homework boys..."
and you have the wrong format for the ability anyways...
and for the bladey, get rid of the ability altogether...it's crap...id never want to block with it....it's SUPPOSED to be a good blocker, not a crappy one...it has a shield...
K-62 - September 4, 2004 05:50 PM (GMT)
Drk-X - September 4, 2004 06:16 PM (GMT)
color does matter...and you messed up again...for Judgement, you made it have many color costs but you made him an artifact creature...and you set it's type to enchantment...that's three contradictions this time...
also you messed up on your reprint of "flight"...there already is a card called flight and it costs three mana...two colorless, one blue...
Sir Maverick - September 4, 2004 06:49 PM (GMT)
DrkXFuzion, I think K-62 means for it to be a completely separate game as opposed to additional cards for to use in conjunction with all those wonderful elves and the like (*snarls at those who are looking at his Energy Chamber and Joiner Adept*).
Lycan, buy manila board, then use a glue stick. Very effective.
K-62, if you'd like, we can talk and I can help you out some. I play Magic, and I know the rules pretty well, so I can probably help you a lot there.

still, you dont want your card's abilities to suck would you?? if you want something to be good, it should at least make sense..i mean seriously...Blade Liger is suppose to be an excellent blocker...not one that cant block if it's life depended on it...

I have "Flight" card too and it's a blue with a pic of a flying Zebra costs only 1 blue. Drawn by Jerry Tiritilli 1999 set.

meh, whatever...i dont like blue so i wouldnt know...
but still...there's everything else ive said
K-62 - September 5, 2004 01:50 AM (GMT)
CAS I'm thinking of making them into card too. What should they be Enchant Creature? Instant? Artifact? etc.
Drk-X - September 5, 2004 02:01 AM (GMT)
no, you should make em whole new creatures altogether as you cant limit what enchant creature goes where...
K-62 - September 5, 2004 02:37 AM (GMT)
I'm trying to make a set, so far I got 13 cards. I will be happy to send people what I got so far, to see it you need to have the program(posted site in past post).
Sir Maverick - September 5, 2004 03:11 PM (GMT)
For those of you who might be having problems, try this. I found it through Google, and it worked for me.

You guys realize that there already is a Zoids TCG made by Tomy right??? this is my theory on how the game works based on my knowledge of all card games (cept Duel Masters, since i dont have any cards...)
These are the types of cards there are: (remember, it's all coming from my theory..)
Pilot cards : The most important card. Each pilot has special abilities and different skills and are better with certain kinds of zoids.
Zoid cards : One Zoid card is assigned to a pilot and it has health, attack, and defense stats. Zoid cards will be destroyed once their health reaches zero and the pilot will be left without a zoid.
CPs: Equip to a certain type of zoid. The give abilities and stat upgrades. Think of them as Enchant creatures in MTG or Equip Magic cards in YGO
Event Cards: Think of these as Trainer cards in Pokemon, Magic/Trap cards in YGO, or Sorceries/instants in MTG
Sir Maverick - September 5, 2004 05:47 PM (GMT)
Actually, I didn't know that. But it's not available in English if I'm any guess, so what's wrong with coming up with something for Zoids that works with the same rules many of us know?

Maverick you got the wrong program, you can't make cards with Apprentice. You have to use Twanvl's Magic Card Maker.
I found the offcail site
http://magicseteditor.sourceforge.net/index.html
Sir Maverick - September 5, 2004 06:07 PM (GMT)
I mentioned it because that card maker is designed for you to be able to transfer the cards into Apprentice. I've got both on my comp right now.
K-62 - September 6, 2004 01:56 AM (GMT)
Alright, now I got about 24 finished and working on like 6.
I am making a Zoid Eve card tell me what you think.
Zoid Eve 2WUBRG
Legendary Enchantment
3G, Sacrifice a land: Play 2 Zoids from your hand.
3U, Sacrifice a creature: All your Zoids gain +2/+2.
2W: Bring 1 Zoid from the graveyard to your your hand.
2R: Deal 2 damage to target creature.
6B, Sacrifice a creature: Return all Zoids to owner hand.
For those who don't know {G} is green, {U} is blue, {B} is black, {R} is red, and {W} is white.
Drk-X - September 6, 2004 04:02 AM (GMT)
...you got the colors mixed up...
the 5th ability should be Blue
the 1st ability is more like a white ability although it's commonly seen with all colors
the 2nd ability is definately for green...
the 3rd should go to black (raise dead)
the 4th should be red (shock, firebolt)
oh, and enchantments can never be legendary....only artifacts, creatures, and artifact creatures.....
Sir Maverick - September 6, 2004 12:26 PM (GMT)
Well, here's my idea for a Blade Liger. ((Sorry if the color's are off...I don't know all of them well.))
K-62 - September 6, 2004 03:36 PM (GMT)
Drk-X - September 6, 2004 03:50 PM (GMT)
Mav: you forgot to give it power and toughness...and you dont give names to abilities..also, if it's an artifact creature, it should have an all colorless mana cost...
K-62: your new blade liger is a lot better, but your ultrasaurus seems rather overpowered...for it's cost...and why does raynos have first strike? it doesnt have anything that gives it an attack advantage, it has speed, which should give it haste...not first strike or double strike...
K-62 - September 6, 2004 04:45 PM (GMT)
I gave the Raynos first Strike because I through of it's speed.
Drk-X - September 6, 2004 10:07 PM (GMT)
speed doesnt give first strike...it's really long swords, or any other special weapon that can give a creature first strike or double strike....fast creatures would have haste...
