OK...This the deal..Im trying to make a video of me doing something ..(hand signs ext..), n I wanna put it on Myspace..but..I have no idea how to make them small clips into a avy..u know..The type that keeps playing back...

How do you even make those in the first place?

AVI, I think you mean. But no, you don't want that.

AFAIK, myspace is compatable with WMV files. You can create those from source video with the windows media encoder. Just play around with its options, its quite easy. Lower bitrate/lower frame size/shorter video = smaller file.

That is, assuming you have the recorded videos on your computer, such that you can watch them without having a camera attached to your machine. If you don't, you can use Windows Movie Maker to capture the video from a video device (good luck figuring that out), and then easily crop it, add sound, effects, etc.

Movie Maker comes with Windows XP, the encoder doesn't.

Alternately, you can encode your videos as MPEG.
I've been using this: http://home.cogeco.ca/~avi2vcd/ for years.

You mean from a digital camera? I rezise/sharpen/edit mine with Virtualdub, it's less of an annoying RAM-eating crashy pain than Movie Maker, though a lot less intuitive if you're used to a pretty graphical interface. I can help with basic stuff if you want to use it, though.

Regardless, if MySpace can't comprehend avis you could then convert the results with the thing HaTcH linked...if I'm correct in thinking MySpace video is like Youtube it'll reduce all your hard work to a blurry flash video blob and the double-compressing won't matter :p.
