Title: 4th Anniversary!!

JammerLea - February 19, 2007 03:18 AM (GMT)
Well, for those of us who are still around, ZE has hit 4 years today! Not a milestone number, but still pretty good I think.

Yeah, I'm a little late mentioning it, but at least it's closer to being on time than Gaia Online's Anniversary Event. XD; ZE and Gaia share the same anniversary (day and year)!

Soo... dust off your Zoids a little and celebrate!

HaTcH - February 19, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
Go us! Cheers to everyone :)

Void Dragon - February 19, 2007 01:55 PM (GMT)
Three cheers for ZE!

Geno Saurer - February 21, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
This board has been around for a long time... I like the atmosphere here. For some reason on this board I feel closer to people than on other message boards

Fury OD - February 21, 2007 12:57 AM (GMT)
Yea, me too...Feels comfortable...

The ZE forums will forever be my internet home...

HaTcH - February 21, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I seem to visit atleast twice a day still, just to see if anything's been posted. Its like my internet ritual

Void Dragon - February 21, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
Yea, not much happens here, but I check here quite often. Just because only a few people are left doesn't mean we can't just chat.

JammerLea - February 21, 2007 10:41 AM (GMT)
That's very true! I usually pop in when I can to check up.

We need some general chat threads or something. XD Too tired to start one right now. >_>

ShadowDragon062 - February 21, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
Congratulations ZEF. I myself have been away from the forums for awhile.

Mainly because I'm out of ideas for Zoid customs, School's really giving me a hard time (with all the honor class) and next years....

However, like Jammer I will make an effort to pop back in now and then. Enjoy.

The Zombie - February 22, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
Oi, 4 years? Well, even though things are dead, some of us yet still lurk here. (I rarely get online anymore personally...) Being married and the father of a wonderful little girl kind of keeps me busy lol.

Congrats ZEF.

Grey Wolf - February 24, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
wow, cant believe its been four years since ZE came about. Strange how time flies. By the way anyone notice the topic directly below this one is celebrating the third aniversary.

JammerLea - February 24, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I did notice that. XD I thought that was funny! Guess there hasn't been a lot to announce!

Geno Saurer - February 24, 2007 11:01 PM (GMT)
The fifth aniversiary will probably end up directly above this one.

Void Dragon - February 25, 2007 02:18 AM (GMT)
Unless zoids gets an unexpected (and nearly impossible) revival.......

Just hoping.

Murasame Liger - February 25, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
Alright! 4 freakin awesome years!

I havnt come here in a long time, I just got bored and decided to drop in.

And I agree Void Dragon, im hoping for some-what of a revival myself.

Geno Saurer - February 25, 2007 10:07 PM (GMT)
The annoying thing is, they could just bring over Zoids Genesis and the Zoids that weren't released in the US, but they don't. It could get a revival easily, but it's still not likely for it to happen

Tilly - February 26, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
There's not enough of a market for Zoids in the US right now, as the line dying in the first place proves. Yeah, there's a fanbase, but the people who buy the most are kids (and their parents), not us. You might get some pull with an anime and all, but I doubt they want to risk it, especially with how the toy market is...I can't see it doing well enough to be profitable, and don't blame Hasbro or anyone else for it not returning.

(The first person to suggest Tomy US market it gets pointed to the recent UK line, which was mostly a huge flop and was run by Tomy. The recent US release had its issues, but it was still one of the most successful overseas ventures Zoids has had, period.)

And congrats to the board for at least still being around four years later o_O.

Void Dragon - February 26, 2007 03:22 AM (GMT)
Not counting the time the board was up before this

JammerLea - February 26, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Huh? the board's only been here since mid-2004. I'm counting from when it started on Duowolf's original Proboard forum. x3;

Toyline or not, I do wish they'd show Genesis like they had SAID. Not that I'm surprised. This isn't the first time a channel has NOT added a cartoon to their line-up that they said they would. (I'm looking at YOU Fox Kids!!) /rant

Yes, that was something of a failure. I remember it took a couple of years between them bringing out the Shield Liger and Geno Saurer. And on eBay for the most part they only had the older, 80's Zoids... incidentally, did the Blade Liger even get released in the UK?

Void Dragon - February 26, 2007 11:15 PM (GMT)
Don't think they'd have gotten to that point. US barely got any Blade Ligers, and UK didn't seem to get any better.

Tilly - February 27, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
The UK saw limited distribution of the blue Bladey, but most of them had plastic feet...they're otherwise identical to the Japanese version, though I'm not sure if they had the yellow or orange canopy variation.

Steve - February 28, 2007 12:14 PM (GMT)
Dayum, only four years? It *feels* a lot longer then that...

What I wouldn't give to see ZE like it was back in its prime. Despite all my hard searching I've been unable to find another board as warm and personable as this one. I'll always have fond memories of ZE.

Shadow Tigress - February 28, 2007 02:00 PM (GMT)
ZE was the first message board I've ever joined, I think.

Shadow Khan - February 28, 2007 10:33 PM (GMT)
Hi Tigress...
This was my first Zoids message board and one of the first message boards I ever joined. Funny I just happened to stop by today...

Hey I just noticed that i wsas 4th member to join the site after it started up again. looks like on ly Tilly has me beat so far.lol

Same lol... I found it hilarious when I never told my parents what I was doing... then I gradually let it out... now they don't even care. Ha!

Geno Saurer - March 1, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
I remember when I first registered on a message board, I didn't know how to make an email account so I used my school email account (because they had email accounts for all their students). The funniest part was I'd already graduated.

Ditto to all of that, except my parents are still all "Rar. Don't talk to strangers on the internet.". But I've gotten to know people now so they aren't strangers anymore ;)

JammerLea - March 1, 2007 05:55 AM (GMT)
DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS! EVER!!! DDD<

XD

No really, how are people supposed to make friends? D: It's more knowing who NOT to make friends with than not talking to people you don't know. XD

I get the feeling that you're upset at me.

Fury OD - March 1, 2007 08:25 PM (GMT)
 Chea~~ When i first got internet access onto my computer the first thing I searched up was zoids, n from some weird n strange phenomenal event , it brought me here..I faved it n stocked u guys, until i knew how to "Work " the internet world...

Join MMM fist n , because of my ambitiousness and stupidness, I was Out Casted...N then It took me forever to acualy join this forum, because something always went wrong.>_>.Thats why my very first post was like a panic thing... :P

Anyway, i eventually grew up, *learned to spell*(or at least learned how to use spell cheack), and feel everybody who joined this forum(and who were/ is active) are my internet family...=]

I Looove this place ....

HaTcH - March 1, 2007 10:04 PM (GMT)
Ahh FOD, too bad Firefox 2 was just a little late being released :P It automatically spell checks text you type into forms!

JammerLea - March 1, 2007 10:09 PM (GMT)
Heheh, we got a lot of members who seemed to have been casted out from MMM. THAT made for interesting times, but I'm glad that no big rivalry came out of it.

Ahh, the ZE RPG was originally started by Sephiroth and DS who (if I recall, at least Sephiroth) hadn't made it in MMM. They also didn't get along with each other half of the time. XD

HaTcH - March 1, 2007 10:11 PM (GMT)
I never had the (dis?)pleasure of being a member there, or actually any other RPG board as far as I know.

JammerLea - March 1, 2007 10:18 PM (GMT)
I've thought about joining, since I know some awesome people who are attached to the place, but I'm just afraid I don't have the attention span/time to participate in an RPG like that, and I don't want to be a person to get involved then slow things down. I'd feel horrible! XD

Geno Saurer - March 1, 2007 11:06 PM (GMT)
There's a lot of people like that on Japan Hero's RPG forum. Maybe that's why I've only seen one of their RPG's end, and even then, it only ended because the guy who set it up gave it an 'and it was all a dream'-type ending (probably out of frustration)

I remember when I was going to join MMM. Then they changed part of their RPG so you couldn't have a Geno Saurer from the start. They did that with many Zoids, and I have no idea why they did it. Surely it must have rendered all the new members from that point on weaker than everyone else. Does anyone know if that change reduced the number of people joining their RPG?

Void Dragon - March 1, 2007 11:40 PM (GMT)
I have also thought about that too, but I have neither the attention span nor patience to go over everything. (The list of zoids is deterring me to start)

This place is the 2nd forum I've joined. First I got outcasted for stupid reasons on the admin's part, the first IF reincarnation of ZE crashed, then was Gundam which I am still active, then Halo, also active, and back to here. Ill probably be working out of lurker-dom since the Gundam RPG has slowly died since Christmas due to a stupidly placed cease fire. One week, and everything goes to hell.

*looks to the right, then left*

ZE HAIL!

ShadowDragon062 - March 2, 2007 12:38 AM (GMT)
Fury.. you still haven't learn how to spell.

Yeah.. MMM wouldn't accept me... then I learned my first lesson on flaming... ha, and funny how if you flame, someone will swear at ya. Pretty awkward... but meh I got over it. This is really the only forum i go to consistently again.

I tried FMA... haven't visited that since i first join.
I tried Naruto.. haven't joined... but it got kind of boring... too many peeps like it.

Back to Zoids for the time being. I'm also planning on writing a novel or somethin which involves Zoids a little. Neuro technology anyone? :P
