Should I continue adding the texture like whats on the left arm?

Maybe you should keep the texture as it is... I've heard effects (for lack of a better term, or for lack of a term I actually remember) that look good of a small part of a picture, can look stupid when its everywhere. Although, the only example of what I've seen that I can remember, was when I was told about crosspatching (I think that's what it's called...) and used it on the entirety of some weird picture.

Although, maybe listening to me isn't a good idea. I have some kind of qualification relating to artwork but it's been a long time since college and I've forgotten pretty much everything.
