Title: Well, I did the unthinkable
Atrophy Within - June 12, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
Well, its been some time now, that I've been bouncing around from place to place, never really calling anywheres home, always on buisiness calls, ect. I've always had small houses or apartments, but I was never there long enough to justify the prices. Well, recently I've given up a personal aspiration that had kept me from every truely commiting to make the most defining purchase of my life, a house.
Recently, I've been looking for houses, and I've just now found one, that I've signed for. I'm happy enough to say, its a wonderful home. In Roseville, Michigan. Its a small drive north of detriot thankfully. That city has a horrible smell to it.
Its an old far house, over 50 years old. Veyr nice however. Newly remodeled. Three bedroom, one bath. Very large kitchen. I'm about to take some photos as soon as I clear away all my moving boxes so I can post them. It has an unstairs which is unfinished, so I might put a bathroom, and bar up there. Perhaps another bedroom. meh, I dunno. I'm getting ahead of myself here.
It has a lovely long gravel driveway, and an old barn style garage that has an upstairs. Its nice. It looks like is doesn't belong on the block, as all the houses around it are rather new compared to it. We have a lot of trees lining the ends of the property, which is nice, gives it a more private feel. I may put a pool in this summer, if funds will allow. I recently just upgraded my small company online, and I unexpectedly gained a nice share of profit, which in a way lead me to this financial leap.
Perhaps this old wolf finally has a true place to call home? or perhaps she just purchased a bigger office? :P :P :P
I dunno. I'll post some pictures. I am really excited about this. If ever a wolf could grin, this one would be grinning from ear to ear.
I'll take some pictures and post them later, if this cell phone will allow me. :P

Sounds really nice. Other than a lot of land, I'd prefer a house like that as oposed to all these modern homes my moms gawks at on HGTV. <_<
HaTcH - June 13, 2007 12:28 PM (GMT)
Old homes are ok.. until you start discovering their little quirks...
Like old BX wiring, fused circuit breakers, black pvc drain pipes, creaky floors, leaky roofs, weird sized windows... Oh and funky colored bathroom fixtures. (mine are green)
:P
Naw, congratulations. Thats very exciting!
The Zombie - June 13, 2007 01:31 PM (GMT)
<_< Uh-huh... Yeah, right... Like you could really afford a house, not unless your another person who's trying to portray another person to make them look good. (Go ahead and warn me, ban me, whatever... I don't really care. I'm just tired of a certain person or two doing what they are doing.) Some of us actually work hard for what we have, and actually do own. I'll admit me and my girlfriend are living out of the guest house on her parents property, but you know what? We will legally own it and the portion of the property it is on in August when we give her parents the last of the money they asked for it. We own an 2007 HHR, which is ideal if you have kids, our first being due the end of September, early October to be exact. Hell, I'll be sure to post pics of my boy after he's born, and our house too once we finish the landscaping in the front.
It's amazing how someone who has little money, who uses people, suddenly has so much stuff. I hope that PS3 has overheated and the OS glitched to the point it can't be updated, of course you can't afford the broadband you need to do that anyways... Bah... I'm outta here. I have a doctors appointment at 10 AM and my mom has one at 2 in the afternoon.
(Jammer, I honestly apologize for this, but I'm tired of the bull certain people are pulling.)
Fury OD - June 13, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
O_O;....^^..Yeeea...moving along...
Great news, I wish you only the best, lycan...
Can't wait till I buy my first home..

well the house has all hardwood floors, which would be beautiful if it didn't need to be sanded and restained. But the floors as nice. I'm only now learning that even if I JUST swept the floor, hardwood floors are never clean. lol I will get some area rugs.
No fused Curcuit breaker, but it has cast iron plumbing so if the water doesn't get ran for a day or two straight it comes out brown then goes clear. And all the walls are wet plaster, and the bathroom after over 50 years of moisture has walls that are falling apart a bit by the tub. I'm going to knock all that out in the bathroom and put up drywall, and the get a tub and wall insert.
The walls have lead paint I think, but since its chipping a bit, I'm going to scrape it all off and repaint.
It has a big porch, thats enclosed in windows. It reminds me of the porch on the house the old man had in Pet Cemetary. its nice though.
I found a coffee table up stairs I brought down, and two old rocking chairs.
As for the nieve comment above.... I'm posting pictures as soon as i take them, so, perhaps certain people should think before they comment, especially when they themselves ahve been proven to be more a liar on these boards, than any of the members we have seen in the past 4 years. :)
The lot isn't big, but with all the trees, you don't really see any of the houses.
I have to regravel the driveway too... >.> but meh, I shall post some pictures. I just need to pay my phone bill so I can upload the pictures. lol
JammerLea - June 13, 2007 06:29 PM (GMT)
Lawl, for a moment I thought you mean your house was an old one out in the country. I should know the area better. XD
Houses are fun.

lol, no. Its on an acre, and the perimeter is surrounded by trees, so its like its in the woods kinda. till you pull out of the driveway and into suburbia anyways... lol
I wish, I love being out in the middle of no wheres.
oh well.
JammerLea - June 13, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I've pretty sure I've been in the area before. At least I've been on Gratiot and such before. There's a comic store around there I've been too, closer to 9 Mile. I can't recall exactly which street. My mom and I always choose the wrong road first. You'd think we'd know by now. :D
Not a bad area overall. As long as you don't get lost easily. XD

Our house is fairly old but the only bad thing about it really was the basement and porch were crap and we had a lot of extra junk. A lot of junk. It was my great grandmothers house and she traveled so there were things from Asia and stuff. That and there was an old stove in the basement that I managed to catch fire. We've cleaned up the basement and the porch is getting there. Now we have a couple of TV's, the other computer, fixed up the bathroom so it doenst look like somone died in there, made a bedroom from the storage area.
I think my parents did it just so I can stay down there. The pantry and large freezer (the kind most people put in their garage) are down there with previously mentioned thing as well as the guns and tools so theres no need for me to leave really. The biggest thing was we did everything little by little as the money came in instead of totally overhauling the house like they do on HGTV on a 'budget'. <_< Whatever you end up doing though, measure twice and cut once applies to more than just measuring and cutting. My dad didnt know that and after he altered the plumbing some and put in a fake wall by my bed to hide it I ended up with a soaked bed. I was little and when I went upstairs and told him I was going to drown I can understand why he didnt believe me but that was just not cool.
Your house sounds like it'd be depressing everyday. You drive along your driveway with all those trees and then once you leave you have to watch all those soccer moms who are too busy talking on their cell phones to worry about their driving, so you have to worry for them. I s'pose the opposite is true though when you come home.
HaTcH - June 13, 2007 07:28 PM (GMT)
Naw, my house isn't nearly as bad as the generic list I gave. We've got all new wiring, modern plumbing, hardwood floors (sans carpeting) and a brand new roof. My windows suck though.. CANNOT HAVE AC CRY. DX

lol, its right off Gratiot, by Macomb Mall. Between 14 and 13 mile. Neighborhood is good, but the mall attracts too many teenagers...
Seph, true... You pull out of the driveway as though you just came from the backwoods, onto a surburban street, of which there are dozens of small kids running around on bikes, women trying to drive big SUVs and a crap load of comcast vans... I hate comcast. I hooked it up since I found the tool a year back, and even in stealing cable I hate them. :P
But it is a nice break to come home. The yard is nice and big, and there are three bunnies they travel in a pack to watch, as well, I just discovered this today, a squerrel's nest right outside the bedroom window. (sp?)
I'm gonna get a picnic table, and maybe work on expanding the garage. Its very nice, but it has a large sliding door, thats very old and heavy.
Sephiroth - June 14, 2007 04:18 AM (GMT)
Sounds similar to the wildlife we have. Our front yard is like 1/2 acre but the back theres about 1.5 acres. Theres a woods behind that and a treeline on either side of the yard although its more for bushes because the whole area was a cattle farm so the fences that were there have had things grow over and around them. We get a lot of deer as well because we have wild strawberries, a lot smaller than what you'd buy in the store, that they love and a lot of clovers that the rabbits terotypically like. I actually caught one of the smaller rabbits because it was too slow. Luckily for it I got to it before our min-pin.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/Ser.../IMG_0002-3.jpgIt has a scratch on either side as if a hawk had tried to grab it but didnt get ahold of it. Thats a semi-bad thing I've noticed with the rabbits, they attract a lot of hawks and snakes. For three days in a row I saw at least 6 hawks in our yard or the neighbors.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/Ser.../IMG_0003-3.jpgThats just a garder snake, he hangs out by a shed that my parents finally got to move some of the crap out of our garage to the back.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/Ser.../IMG_0008-1.jpgThats a corn snake. We used to have a lot of these when I was little but they went away for awhile. Their food source moved I guess. However, since there have been a lot of rabbits lately this one thought he'd get one. Our neighbor saw him in the driveway and I tried to catch it but he was too quick.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/Ser...l2/IMG_1272.jpgSmall woodpecker. All I have to say about how I caught him is Windex.
I had a picture of a hummingbird I caught when he wondered into the porch and got caught in the screen. The screen is crap, holes everywhere from all sorts of things but he still managed to get his beak caught in it. I cant seem to find it though.

Can you say google, or driving by the house and taking a picture? It would be quite simple to fake ownership and make yourself look good. Pictures mean nothing, show me some paperwork that actually has your name on it and hasn't been doctored and I'll believe you. Otherwise your a lying sack of SHIRT! who prey's on peoples kindness and trust. Ripping off someone who actually cared about you at one point of $2000 and lying to them about everything, is more heinous of an act than someone not telling you the complete truth to protect themself, only to have the person they trusted twist it and use it against them. Like you have room to talk and make accusations, you've deceived people here far more than I might ever have. I only hid things to protect myself. You on the other hand, lie and fabricate stuff to make yourself look good. Just because you can word something to make it believable, doesn't mean you can fool everyone, especially those of us who have more of a brain than the average idiot on the net. Which I'm sure most of the people here have the intelligence to not believe everything you say. I'm pretty sure they have more than the requisite amount. I'm not going to say much more other than that. Everyone here can chastise and ridicule me all they want, I know the truth and thats good enough for me. I don't need ZE to survive, I come here as a hobby, and because I do have SOME good memories here. Not to mention I see some of the people here as freinds, not as mindless pawns in some sick and twisted game like some people here. I'm off to bed, I've had a really long day. i have to get up early and go to the police department to report a large cat roaming around our property. Mexican Jaguar I think. And I delete all of your messages by the way Lycan, they're a waste of time reading, so don't bother PMing me.
Atrophy Within - June 14, 2007 06:33 PM (GMT)
^ o.0 Well, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black???
Who was it that faked their own death TWICE on this forum? Who facted a dead girlfriend? Who had dual accounts of fake people? (I appologize Jammerlea for retorting, but by all means I feel everyone on this board can agree with me on thoes points) No one here is more a liar than you are, yet you dare to insult the likes of myself.
No, i will not merit a copy of my Deed to post on this forum, its public record, find the means yourself to look it up, once the title agency files the appropriate paperwork. It is not my responsibility to ensure people whom I speak to beleive me. That is their desision and I neither care, nor feel it worth the wasted time.
Now, as for my photos, I don't rmeember stating I was only going to post pictures of the outside of the home, but meh.
I'm recently in the process of changing phone services, from Sprint to Cingular. My bill was at one point in time $69.99, but since the nextel merger, and upgrade to the local towers, it magically became $89.99 and customer service is clueless to why, nor do they intend to do anything. Now you may wonder what this has to do with anything, but being my cell phone has a digital camera on it, and I was originally using the camera to e-mail myself photos of which I would have wanted to post on here, and being I never paid my phone bill, as I simply refuse to till its corrected, the service was cut off, cancelling my opportunity to e-mail said photos an thus post them.
Again I question myself for even bothering to explain such things to the likes of some nieve child, but meh.
Hopefully, as I've only ordered it recently, my new phone and service with cigular shall arrive sometime next week. I either have the option of waiting till then to take pictures with said phone, or I can find someone who will let me barrow their camera. I dunno. I'm not in a hurry to "validate" the ownership of my home.
Right now I've simply been trying to clean the house, and decorate a bit.
On a side note.... A deed is far more easy to forge than a photo... How many people on this site can rightly say they even know what a true deed looks like? And if they do, then they know the appearance of a deed changes from county to county and more often, city to city. Chaos, do YOU know how many counties there are in michigan alone? The US?
I wish the data cable for my Sprint phone wasn't so much money, I could have just uploaded pics that way. >.> I miss my old Cannon Powershot. That was a good digital camera. A95 something? o.0 I forget what model it was. Meh.
Mexican jaguar? ..... lol, you live in Texas... Your imagination again at work i see.
Well, regardless of what the kid says, I will be posting pics shortly, one way or another. Hopefully by Sunday. I'm going to Home Depot in a bit to see if I can't find a nice washing machine and drier set. I'm tired of visiting family to do laundry. :)
hey.... you know I just realised, I do have a digital camera, its one of those super thin ones, but the LCD screeen is so broken, you can't see a dman thing... maybe I will try to take pics with that... ??? I dunno, I just thought of it. I probubly threw it away, but I'll look for it now that it popped into my head.
(Again Jammer I appologize for my response, however I'm tired of people making snappy, uncalled for comments, but then appologizing for them in PMs, saying it wasn't them posting said replies in threads. perhaps an IP check comparison is in order between posts and PMs to confirm or deny said claims? Or perhaps certain people should just try to act adult for once. lol Either way, I'm eating some strawberries right now that are simply devine! ^.^)
sammich - June 14, 2007 11:50 PM (GMT)
Wow. Amusing.
Anyway, if it's all a lie? WHO CARES? Laugh at it and move on. To persistently and publicly start and fight in a useless INTERNET BATTLE is lame.
And if you really do own a house? Laugh at the stupidity and IGNORE IT. To even engage in an argument with someone who spreads lies just further demeans yourself.
Phelan - June 15, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
Yanno, I really wish y'all would stop involving the rest of us in your quarrels. While I can't speak for everyone I, for one, really don't want to be in the middle or even anywhere near by.
Thanks.
That said, anything can be a lie; especially on the internet. Who cares? It's a matter of trust and really, you don't want to go there.
Congrats on the house Lycan. I know how much of a pain it can be to get a place set up.
The Zombie - June 15, 2007 11:34 AM (GMT)
Thats the stupidest idiom I have heard yet.
I believe the fact of John doing that is already known moron. FAKING A DEAD GIRLFRIEND??? Listen you fat ugly piece of SHIRT!! She died coming to see me while I was undergoing MEPS to go in the Airforce in San Antonio because some ducking idiot was drunk and ran a red light on Military Drive. You have some serious ducking nerve to accuse me of such. I lost a ducking kid in that accident you ugly skank. Fake accounts? So I had another account on the same IP, doesn't mean I was the person using it. Me, a bigger liar? Pfeh, yeah, right... At least I'm not the one sharing an account with some musclehead idiot who thinks he is hot SHIRT! and can make up pretty stories in attempt to woo the masses. Hell, my girlfriend is playing Final Fantasy VII behind me and she is laughing at your stupidity.
I'll be sure to do that, and laugh at how pathetic you are to lie to people here about owning a house. Shane, you are a real tweedledum...
Moron, all you have to do is schedule a view of the home and go inside and take pictures. It's not hard.
Are you sure you didn't run up your phone bill preying on people? That makes more sense....
Child? I may be arguing with you over something, and that does make me a bit childish, but acting childish has every justification for desecrating Meixa's name with your bullshit! You've opened a serious can of worms with what you said. I don't care about the consequences of being banned now. I don't give a flying duck. You've pissed me off to no end and I don't give a god damned SHIRT! what others think of me after this.
I'm sure if I looked at a state website, or some other government site I could find out how many. But I really don't see the point in looking it up just to argue with some egotistical maniac.
Imagination? If you look it up, the Mexican Jaguars range does indeed go into Texas, although rare.
(Jammer, I haven't replied to this morons PM's since a quite a few days ago, being busy making a life with my girlfriend. Go ahead and check if you want. I haven't done anything except retort this retard for their meaningless bullshit.)
@Sammich: You should have seen some of the stuff this person has said, you would know why I retort and continue to do it. And I haven't spread any lies...
@Phelan: Look at what I said to Sammich. I normally wouldn't stoop as low as this. But some people just piss me off to no end....

Chaos, I'll say the same thing I've said every other time you've used that argument: show me.
Surely you're not against that sort of request since you keep demanding proof from Lycan..... Or are you?
You keep saying time and again we ough to see....yet you've never come up with proof. To be honest, both of you are out of line and the soap opera's really getting old.
If if pisses you off that much Chaos then maybe you should try taking the high road and act your age by not getting into it with a person you obviously consider beneath you in several ways.
Conversely, Lycan, you could take the high road and ignore what Chaos is saying. If you know you're right what need to do have to prove it or refute allegations? If you're trying to set up a life and a home then why do you waste time, energy, and effort quarreling with him?
Quite honestly, the fact the two of you continually drag the rest of the forum into your squabbles is not only entirely disrespectful but it's fairly, well, lacking in intelligence to be blunt. This is the internet; it's easy to cut yourself off from someone.
But neither one of y'all do.
I wonder at that, sometimes. If you both dislike each other's presence so very much then why do you continue to interact? Doesn't make much sense now does it?
I'm not going to bother to address either one of y'all's posts point by point; there's no need. But I very much hope both of you are proud of what you've done. People come back here to visit old friends and visit old memories, fond memories, and yet, all they can see and all they can find is your quarrels. You've taken what was a community and turned it into something ugly because neither one of you can grow up and let go.
I do hope this satisfies you.
