Yeah, two new ways to rp are on their way. First, of course we have the War RPG, which is coming along nicely.

-A unqiue system of R&D, plus production and combat.
-A new story taking place decades after the shows
-Two new sides, as well as a select few neutral mercanary and pirate pilots.
-A ranking system to show who the top pilots are.
-Coming Soon!

But the second is totally new to most everyone: The Zoids Evolution Offical Fan Fic. Yep, you read right.

-A fun story, written through rp via members of the board.
-The ability to control characters from the anime, and create new ones.
-A great way to get better at rping.

It's infulenced by the story of Zoids Legacy, but still different.

A experiment gone wrong causes space and time to warp, bringing people from seven different eras to one world. They must then find a way to make their way home. The eras are:

-Pre-CC
-Chaotic Century
-Guardian Force
-Post-GF
-New Century/0
-Post-NC/0
-POST-post-NC/0

And this means that there most likely will be like three Van's running around. Oh, that will be fun.

You'll develop new characters as they go, such as I'm using a character called Zell. He's a traveling zoid pilot with a small mercanary group. He come from the Post-NC/0 era and pilots a slightly customized Helcat.

I'm also controling post-NC/0 Bit and Leena... mwuhahahahaha.

Of course, I can't WAIT to see what new villians and old villians will do when they team up, hehehe.

No offense, but everyone controlling characters from the show will likely make for a lot of chaos and OOC and a lot of freaky pairings. You might have Bit and Leena, but what'll you do if someone does something slashy :p?

Well there WILL be rules. Nothing too large, but there will be rules. This aint a normal rp, and not EVERYONE will get in and such. Trust me, it's worked before on other sites. It'll work.

Question: My rp character has a mysterious background, one he can't remember except for the age of 12 and up. He discovers some of his past at 17 which leads up to where he is now, but I don't have anything for the time period between 12 and 17. What I would like to know is that if I get in, can I use him in it and this be something that happens in the time frame between 12 and 17 and after what he is currently? Like some of the events happen between 12 and 17, then he disappears for a while and the shows up again a little later 19 and what he is currently? Also something happen where he remember swhat happened before 12? I need a history for him and I was thinking this would be a good way to find one for him.

Also a suggestion: how about we include some of our characters history inas well?

No, offical characters and unqiue characters. Very little should be known about these new characters, for reason I'm to lazy to explain. :P

Second RPG? Thats the view I DON'T want to see. It's NOT a rpg, it's a gonna have a style of rp posts that need to be followed.

It's because people are probably wanting to use their RPG characters in the fanfic.

For example, me. I know, that for anything such as fanfics or RPs, I ALWAYS want to play as MYSELF. And all my characters ARE myself. For the fanfic I'm writing (which none of you know about, but exists nonetheless), the main character is none other then a technologically intelligent boy called Mike. For my RPG character (even though I don't have a bio, I just do not have time to battle and stuff, sadly), even though his name is Blade Flamestar, he's still me. Essentially, he's a slightly older version of me (well, a year older...) who exists in a different world. Almost all his physical characteristics are the same as me, personality is virtually the same, etc. Basically, the only major difference is, he uses swords and guns, which I would probably be very clumsy with.

By forcing people to use Anime characters, or characters which they have to make up new, some people might not want to do it, because it's not THEM. They will be forced to fit the role of a stranger. Sure, some people may like it, but I think it would be better if you let people play as their RPG character, theirself.

But, that's just my opinion ;)

I agree with Zelos DS... he has a point.. I'd rather be me then some current or new character...

I always use the same character and would prefer to use it here. It isn't me, but I have been designing the character for as long as I can remember and have figured him out in a lot of detail. It would be really annoying to have to design an entirely new character from scratch.

Oiy... thing is, the idea of the fan fic has NOTHING to do with current rpg characters or the events that shaped their histories and relationships with each other.

Never said you couldent create a new character which is basicly your rpg character.

Also, you control MORE than one character too, well, most can.

This aint a second rpg, aint a long rp... it's a fan fic with multiple authors. Posts won't follow rp style like:

*Actionsactionsactions*
"Talktalktalk."
*Actionsactionsactions.*
'Thinkthinkthink."

It's more composed like a normal story.

Finally, some serious RP.

For me, half of the fun in writing is letting the characters exist almost like separate entities from me-letting them run loose, talk to each other...that can be a pain when they won't cooperate and I have to poke them. Or when they insist on a whole fic because of an unresolved plot thread. Or when they run off with the librarian behind your back THIS MEANS YOU PAUL.

Yes, I talk to characters. It's a crazy writer-person thing :p.

Meh. I'll definitely be looking into the war, but the fanfic style thing you've got planned doesn't appeal to me all too much. Multiple writers for a fanfic can be tricky, people wanting different things and moving on to other plot times when someone else wants to add something when they haven't had time to. And it being on the forums wouldn't help make it any easier.
I've never liked using pre-made characters anyway, from anime or what have you.

Eh, I don't want to play in the War, and I'm violently allergic to writing in groups. I've always wanted to play Zoids FCs somewhere *coughBradorHiltzcough* but ... I don't know how that format'll work, DS. I haven't seen it function well before, and I've been around.

Well, perhaps I'll stay out of the second one....But considering you specifically mention that it's to get better at RPing, and it has a general plot to follow without specifics, that makes it an RPG.

Not out loud...they do sometimes not listen or poke me until I pay attention to them and write something. Does that count?

DS, we aren't saying we want to use our characters as the exact same person from the rpg. We want to use those specific people we made up as our character.. their personality, the way they are.. they don't have to have the same history.. hell I purposfully made my character's history AU from all anime and manga's.. but I want to use that character here, not the exact same person, but the same character.. like an AU of the character. As for multiple characters.. I acutually really like that part.

Also I understand it's a story and not an rpg... I'm good with that.

More experienced rpers or writters I would like to use more than one character, preferably at least one or so anime characters. New characters can come from any of the six eras, btw. Zell is from Post-NC/0.

Am I the only one who doesn't like basing characters on me unless they actually *are* me? Sure, they sometimes borrow a personality trait...or absorb one from people I know...but having all my characters be me...eh. Maybe it's seeing too Mary Sues...but more likely it's that I'm not that interesting :p.

No, I don't base character on myself either. I am already myself, I live that life everyday. I find it much more interesting to be someone different in made-up things.
