Title: THeres Something Wrong

K-62 - October 13, 2004 06:07 PM (GMT)
I have noticed this for awhile now, there has been a error on the board. I just got some debugging program. It tracked it down to this (not really sure what it is):

<img src="http://www.imagetown.net/images/28845713.gif" border="0" alt="" width="15" height="15"

The Zombie - October 13, 2004 06:09 PM (GMT)
It's some image search engine thing. The image that resided at that URL is no longer there so there is an error.

K-62 - October 13, 2004 06:13 PM (GMT)
Yes I know that, but is doing something to the whole board. My debugger goes crazy when I just come on to the board. It the same error on ever thead. Do you notice it?

TheBlackCat - October 13, 2004 06:51 PM (GMT)
No, I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary on the board.

Cherry - October 13, 2004 06:57 PM (GMT)
i have, i get internet explorer debug error, i need to use firefox or i get an error on every page

The Zombie - October 13, 2004 07:02 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I've noticed the error. It makes my browser get really slow and I lose my network connection.

K-62 - October 13, 2004 07:11 PM (GMT)
Well, I'm pretty sure this is the souse of the problem

<img src="http://www.imagetown.net/images/28845713.gif" border="0" alt="" width="15" height="15"

Raven X - October 13, 2004 08:12 PM (GMT)
What is the image exactly? I type in the URL and it gives me nothing.

TheBlackCat - October 13, 2004 08:26 PM (GMT)
The image probably used to be up at that url but is no longer there, apparently leading to an error for some people.

The Zombie - October 14, 2004 05:42 PM (GMT)
Wonder what the image was...

König Warrior - October 14, 2004 09:29 PM (GMT)
I have no problems with the board, those ZE is moving a little slow today. I don't know what the image can be, but if there is a problem.. does anyone have a solution.

And 62, resize or remove that giant image from your sig, it's too big.

The Zombie - October 14, 2004 11:27 PM (GMT)
I think it only affects certain browsers. I know it affects MSIE, but only certain versions. Other browsers I do not know.

König Warrior - October 14, 2004 11:37 PM (GMT)
Well, I'm using IE.. everything seems to be fine right now.

The Zombie - October 14, 2004 11:38 PM (GMT)
What version are you using?

König Warrior - October 14, 2004 11:40 PM (GMT)
Version 6.0, I could go into more specifics.. but that's good enough.

The Zombie - October 14, 2004 11:44 PM (GMT)
No need to get any more specific. I don't think it affects 6.0, at least not to the point where it causes errors or causes the loss of the connection. I just upgraded to a newer version, so the problem doesn't bother me any longer. I know it affects 5 and some instillations of 6.

TheBlackCat - October 15, 2004 12:00 AM (GMT)
I've got 6.0 and no problems.

K-62 - October 15, 2004 12:58 AM (GMT)
I have no problem either, but me debugging programs just keep picking it up.

Grey Wolf - October 15, 2004 01:54 AM (GMT)
If you use Internet Explorer you can enable it to show script errors in the Internet Explorer Options. The "wonderfull" thing about IE is that it automatically fixes most errors that have been codded into the page. Good news for folks who are too lazy to code right, bad news for those who use some other browser. But yeah, most likely the error is somewhere in the News thingie at the top. It may work right and all but chances are that there is some error somewhere around there. Thus causing those who have Debug programs running to pick it up. I could look around and pinpoint the problem but lazyness and all. :P You understand.

König Warrior - October 15, 2004 04:06 AM (GMT)
62, as I said before, resize or remove the large pic in your sig!

*GLOMPS Grey Wolf and clings to his leg*

My IE can tell that there's an error, but it's not affecting anything. *shrugs* There's nothing we can really do about it...

So, I guess people remember an old coot like you. KW didn't seemed to care at first, until I pointed it out first. Muhahaha, b*tch! But yeah, how's stuff... and your job. Still work at that warehouse? *shrugs*

HaTcH - October 21, 2004 01:34 AM (GMT)
Using Mozilla FireFox 1.0, IE 6 and Netscape 7.2 I have had no script errors, images not loading etc anywhere on the site (except for teh occasional bad link in some users sigs)

I don't know what you're talking about...
