Hello, there, and welcome to: Justice and Mercy! Or, you know, just JAM for short. We're a brand-spanking new site, based on the Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer. Currently, we're accepting CANONS AND MEMBER REQUESTED CHARACTERS ONLY- unless human, you can make as many human originals as your little heart desires- and we're looking for some Literate to Advanced RPers to help get this party started!
HYBRIDS :: This is an iffy issue. We have three canon hybrids, who are mostly werewolf. That's it, and that's all we plan on having. But, if you don't want one of the available hybrid canons, and you're DYING to make a hybrid, then... send a PM to Moonpie. Perhaps the two of you can work something out, but you better be prepared to defend your desire.

canons and subplots :: some people were just born to be loved.
Eventually, we'll allow originals. But for the time being- unless you decide to make a human- canon is the way you're going to have to go. Of course, this shouldn't worry you. Our canons are all incredibly diverse, some with subplots, some not, and all should be a riot to have on the site. So come here, kiddo, and let's find you someone to puppeteer.

Every now and then, something will happen that's big and drastic enough to effect the entire site. When something like this does happen, either Moonpie or Cheesecake will slide on over here, and post an announcement for you. Yes, I do suggest checking back fairly often, to make sure you're up to speed on what's going on. No, something new won't be posted every few hours. We aren't that overly informative.

I'm sure, if you're anything like me, that finding the perfect play-by for your character takes forever. And then there's getting an IM address for them, setting up a journal, and- if you're making one of our blood prone friends- possibly even thinking up a power that's all your own. And once you've done all that, I'm pretty damn sure you don't want someone else stealing it from you. To make sure they don't and can't? Post here.

Sometimes, on sites like ours, we have to jump ahead, into the middle of a plot, instead of the beginning. Or, maybe, we have plans for a future that we know we'll never have time to lead up to. In cases like that, when you really want to thread out something that you couldn't otherwise, chronologically, then you can post here. All RPing rules apply.

Five deaths have occurred in the last year, that were related to texting. Such is the age that we live in. The need for instant communication, no matter how much distance lies between us and the other person, has overflown our need for much else. scrapbooks :: it's times like these i will hold forever.
Here's something you can do when you're feeling bored, or when you just want to give some extra insight into your character. Scrapbooks can contain photos, journal entries, little baubles of conversation... really anything that your character deems important to them. The sentimental types will have overflowing books. The tough guys, well... I'm sure they'll have something. Cause no matter who you are, memories are to be kept.

In need of hiking goods? Come on down to Old Man Mike's Hiking Supply Store! This place's been here a good while, it's everyone in Forks' first choice for some new boots. Or, fancy a nice dinner with the family and some barbecue? Head for the Lodge! Fake animal heads mounted on the walls have never looked tackier. Be it bowling or groceries, there's not doubt that there's somewhere in this silly town you can get it.

forks highschool :: take your gloves and get out while you can
Forks High School. A small thing, rather population-inept. Who blames it, in this town? It's not like they're in need of any metal detectors, or advanced securities. Again, not enough students, not enough funding. The good kids of Forks come here to learn, so don't expect any drug busts or shootings to occur anytime soon. Nothing but small town drama happens here. To the untrained eye. But once you open your eyes and your mind, a lot more happens here than anyone could have thought.

hiking trails :: our words are hushed, let's not get busted
Forks, obviously, is surrounded by wilderness. Naturally, there are trails. Originally for hiking, these paths have been used for more than that through the years. A young teenage couple, needing some time alone, the first notion that comes to anyone's head is a nice picnic basket in the middle of the woods. A vegetarian vampire in need of some succulent mountain lion? Or maybe a regular vampire in need of somewhere to feed on some poor girl who's getting greatly disappointed tonight.

Complete with grocery store, a gas station, Black's car repairs, the Seven Eleven, an ice cream parlour, bakery, whatever. Everyone's got to do something, right? Everyone needs a roof over their head and a bed to sleep in, even over-sized human-dogs, whether they'll admit it or not. So, it is here in La Push's neighborhood that they do just that, sleep. Everyone's close with everyone else, literally and figuratively. This way, it's easy to contact someone you need. Or, get someone near to you, closer, faster. You know, if there was ever a need, or a (wolf pack) emergency. *cough*

the beach :: i'm unusually hard to hold on to, with my blank stares
The beach here is not like the rich, white sandy shores of L.A. or Panama City, but it is far from ugly. The rainbow assortment of smoothed-out beach pebbles, coated in a slight sheen from the ocean's tides, reflecting the orange sunsets that beautify the area every night. It's no wonder it's a popular place for the residents of La Push, and would most definitely be a tourist attraction if the place didn't rain so many days a year.

Everyone has the right to an education, whether they're just human beings, temperamental dog-people, or blood sucking leeches. But you wouldn't catch a vampire dead in this school. More like torn to shreds. That's right, folks, this place's vampire-free, be them traditional or vegetarian, no werewolf would stand for it. So, the only thing you really have to worry about is La Push's (rather massive) wolf problem.

What would a wolf be without his trusty trees? Every werewolf needs somewhere convenient to phase, right? Things would be so much more difficult if you couldn't just dive behind a bush. Aside from the wolves, everyone else enjoys the forest. A good place to take a walk, clear your head. Just the birds, the wildlife, trees, and all the squashy green stuff.

The beautiful cliffs of La Push, overlooking the ocean. At various heights, they can be used for several things; nice picnic areas, a great spot to view the sunset with family, friends, maybe a lover, and of course, recreational purposes. Just... not a good place for committing suicide. So, we hope you're not planning on the latter, and you enjoy the cliffs.

Port Angeles! A good half hour drive, it's closer than Seattle if you're just needing a good restaurant for a hot date, or to see a movie, maybe just to spend the day on the board walk. Whatever your calling, it's a nice quick getaway. Take our word for it, Port Angeles is a great place for new clothes, maybe something to read, or simply for good pickings of your next prey somewhere that's less likely to notice, if you're into that.

It's the prom, and you're in need of a new dress or tux? Seattle is your best bet for a shopping spree. It might be a little farther off than we would like, but sometimes it's worth the drive... Or run. Whichever. It's the absolute perfect place for if you're bored of the slow life the small towns provide; achin' for city life, the bright lights and constant noise.

We've got quite a selection of aero-planes, whatever your preference of Delta, American Airways, et cetera. If you've got a weak stomach, beware the embracing couples, meeting again after spending too long apart. though it is nice to pick up your favourite aunt, and not to mention, leaving yourself. Unless, of course, your reason for departure has something to do with life threatening situations and you have to get out of the country ASAP. Other than that, it's a pretty nice air port to be in.

graphics workshop :: i blame santa clause for global warming.
So, we all know that we love, love, love having pretty graphics for our characters. And, of course, some of us are better at making said pretty graphics than others. This is the place for two main functions: Making a gallery to show off your creations, and let other people come to you. AND, requesting graphics at random, and letting whoever wants to pick them up do so. Remember to keep pictures fairly clean- no porn.
