This is a great extension. Does anybody know the exact steps for editing Yahoo mail's cookie so that you don't have to keep logging in every 24 hours? A reviewer of this extension on the mozilla extension page alluded to this, but did not explain. I tried to replicate by using the Auto Login tip on the Add N Edit cookies homepage but was not successful. Any Yahoo mail specific tips?
Thanks,
Phil
I really do not know how they did it. I suspect the commenter was a bit over zealous when they posted it that its they do nto need to login for a year. I believe Yahoo does expire the cookie id server side to prevent malicious people logging by cookie theft. That is to say they keep the cookie identity in their own database and after a while its no longer valid when the browser uses it to validate. They probably use keep-alives (that is the browser sends a small message to the server to tell it is still there) to maintain the cookie current.
I could be wrong about it but that my feelign about this.
Sorry could nto help more.
Enjoy the extension.
