Look forward to me "over-posting" in the next few weeks to find advice for what it is I am doing (I will do my best to find the info in the FAQs, developer documentation, forum and wiki):

Project a: a virtual cruise ship -to give me a good idea of the capabilities of netbeans and dimx... and also just because it will be fun to have a web site that does that. I am an avid cruiser. This will allow the users to tour the ship, chat by the pool... stuff like that. Not too complicated.

Project b: a massively multiplayer online role playing game to research post secondary collaborative learning and teaching for my doctoral dissertation. I am pursuing the Ed. D. in Workforce Development Education.

I will post updates on my progress. Dimx is the best thing I have found to accomplish my academic (and leisure-time)goals. B)

I will do that. The cruise ship project will be up and running in a couple weeks and I'll be working on it as we use it. It's sort of my practice area for my more serious project #2 which will be a long time in production. Too much research and writing to do, I wish i had more time for this. I am enjoying learning to work with this game engine. Get ready for all of my stewpit newbie questions!
