Look, this is absolutely normal behaviour.
At this point you should test your tomcat insallation by opening your browser on:

http://localhost:3000/

The Tomcat Page should appear. If not, just post here!
If yes, next step is to start DimensioneX at:

http://localhost:3000/dimx/

Right, but you are using Tomcat 4.1 and not Tomcat 3.3. So that file cannot be used.

There will be no problem running tomcat on your OS. Remember that the DOS windows is for output only, you can never type in it. Just minimize to icon the windows and use your browser!
