Title: Where Are You From?
Description: Tell us where you live...

Jaime - August 3, 2004 06:05 AM (GMT)
Tell us where you're from! There's a choice of 8 for this poll, "Other" in case I've forgotten somewhere. After you've made your choice, add a post/reply specifiying which part of Asia, Africa, Latin America, etc. that you're in. Provide us with a discription and picture of your lovely hometown (or country) if you can.

Have fun! :D

P.S. Yes, I finally got this all figured out thanks to Syrai. Now go, answer the poll.

Ok so I live in Sunny Old Englanduser posted image, or at least it would be if it wasn't raining.
Um... I don't have any pics of where I live, but that's because it's probably one of the most boring places on the face of the earth (so as you can probably guess, I fit in quite well. ) But if I do happen to come across any, I'll post em'.

trace - August 3, 2004 03:11 PM (GMT)
I live in South Yorkshire in the U.K., where it's either too cold/ too wet or (occasionally) scorching (but mostly cold and wet - and cloudy).

I live in Doncaster and there aren't many pictures of it - the most interesting thing is probably Conisbrough Castle, other than that postcards of this area depict the Dome leisure centre, the race course and the *ahem*... ''shopping centre'' (apparantley).

I'll see if I can get my hands on a postcard (I can't imagine who'd want to buy them as a rule though  ), but if I can I will try and post it...

Maria - August 3, 2004 04:17 PM (GMT)
I live in Finland's capital city, Helsinki. So I bet you'll fin quite a lot of pics about it. Although I live in the suburb..

Glad I could help ;)

I live in Finland, i used to live near Maria but the damn girl went and moved (oh fine, i moved too!) and now I live hours away from her. DAMN YOU!

You know, the lil country between Russian and Sweden - where the are NO polar bears ;) in this lil town where nothing ever happens... Feel like it's dead in here!

Anyway, so, few pictured of Finland (i dun think I found any pics of Joutsa where I currently live, though I might find a pic of my old school in Karkkila = karkki= candy (i lived in candyland. sad really))

Check this place - CLICK - and you'll have some sort of clue! :)

I wish I were from Latin America! :( No.... I from the good old United States. Specifically, in Ohio. Where I could swear the population of cows outnumbers humans. Mooooo.

But no, please dont mistake me for a southern accented blondie with a low IQ and straw hats and cowgirl outfits and country music lover - NO. Far from it... I just like the peacefulness here. Right in the sticks, middle of nowhere.

Few pictures for anyone interested in which that is Ohio:
Cleveland
Riverboats
Theatre
Lighthouse

Well, if you don't know, I'm from Canada.. actually sunny Vancouver where DA used to filmed, and where Smallville is currently being filmed right now. So, all you have to do is look at Smallville, and you'll get a good look (and variety) of what Vancouver look likes.

I actually live in a suburb area called North Vancouver, mountain-ish area. There was a black bear cub in my backyard last week... scared my father shitless... but I was fine...

Well, I'll try to find photos... but ... ;)

Adrolien - September 1, 2004 06:53 PM (GMT)

Oh, specifics on where I live. I was born in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. When I married my husband, I moved with him to his hometown of Geraldine Montana, USA, population 220. And not even that because we live out on a farm. But we're planning to move to town soon.

Alysha - September 25, 2004 10:37 PM (GMT)
I'm from British Columbia, Canada. Vancouver area, Port Coquitlam to be specific.

Restive - September 26, 2004 05:53 AM (GMT)
Welcome Alysha!

I used to have family living in Port Coquitlam on my mother's side. But they're living out in Victoria now, I believe. Good to see you here!

I live in glorious Holland, where it almost always rains. I complain about it sometimes, but I'm really happy here.

I only wish holland had Tim Horton. I've spend some time in Canada and I miss their coffe, the timbits, well everything really. I've started a campaign to get them here but so far no luck.

Jaime - October 27, 2004 04:30 PM (GMT)
Awww misslara. I feel for you. Maybe I should DHL you some Timmy's coffee.

I totally just realized that I hadn't voted or anything here. So I'm from the States, West Virginia to be specific. It is the absolute middle of nowhere...hopefully I'll be able to move elsewhere after I graduate college...until then, I will bitch about living in the middle of nowhere...hehe :D

Dani - November 7, 2004 04:18 AM (GMT)
Hey all. I'm from the United States and I live right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Philadelphia, in addition to being known as the City of Brotherly Love (which is actually bull), is also known as Filthydelphia (because the city is so dirty). Irregardless, I love Philly. :P

Emmie - March 21, 2005 04:29 AM (GMT)
Los Angeles, California, USA. Actually, technically, I live in the San Fernando Valley, the suburbs of L.A. Anyone see Encino Man? Encino's the next town over from me. ;)

Sista - March 29, 2005 05:33 AM (GMT)

-it has one of the most polluted cities in the world (top 10 I think) Manila
-it is one of the 2 countries without divorce although a bill was proposed
-one of the most corrupt states in the world
-country that has the highest number of Catholics in Asia
-3rd largest English speaking country in the world
-has wonderful beaches and wildlife like Boracay :D
-Lastly, Texting capital of the world and I'm proud of it

Lielananna - March 29, 2005 06:57 AM (GMT)
I am from the good ol' US of A. I am currently going to school down in Austin, TX, but was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, also in Texas, just in the north part :D. Not much to say about either town except that they are completely different from each other, Austin = crazy/weird college town and Dallas = main stream business city.

Maria - March 29, 2005 10:55 PM (GMT)
Angel; you seriously don't live in West-Virginia!! Cause my friend lives there at the mo and I'm in Maryland (right next to DC) :D Hee, sorry had to say that :P
