18.03.2005. In his keynote speech made on Wednesday, Gore warned that the creation of an unsustainable system could finally lead to currencydevaluation and capital flight.
He said that Asian countries, as the prime creditors of US debt, have a role to play in maintaining the stability of America's economy, which has been seeing high fiscal, trade and current account deficits, as well as personal debt at record levels.

He urged investors to integrate the traditional financial practices with economic, environmental, social and economical factors so as to form a comprehensive prospect on the world economy and identify risks and opportunities with the global markets.

"This new approach done correctly identifies considerable extravalue for shareholders while at the same time better aligning the investment process with the values we all share," Gore noted.

The Asian Banker 2005, the sixth of its series held on March 15through 17, brought together more than 400 chief executive officers, business leaders and analysts from around the world.
