Title: Yu Gi Oh-Duel Futures
Description: Ahead of our time?!
Endling-fanatic - August 23, 2007 11:24 PM (GMT)
Years ahead of the time of the rising Jaden Yuki, 3 new schools have emerged to tutor those interested in the ways of dueling. North Academy has funded one of the schools, and the students have prospered. Duel Academy, however, funded the remaining two, with the help of business tycoon and expert duelist Chazz Princeton. Syrus Truesdale helps teach dueling with his strange ways at one of the Academies.
The three new Academies are named after 3 dangerous cards, but each has the same 3 houses, of ascending value order: Hamon Gold, Raviel Cobalt, and Uria Crimson. The three dangerous cards, one hidden within the school named after them. The cards: Zongoon Dresveiga, a dangerous Dark-Attribute with the ability to remove every card in the Graveyard from play by discarding 3 monsters; Yomegon Atsuvoide, a powerful Fire-Attribute capable of removing monsters from play by discarding cards from the Deck; and Xeoxin Quletine, the impenetrable Light-Attribute with a deadly attack of 800 per Spell Card in your Graveyard.
Yomegon, Zongoon, and Xeoxin Academies each hold valuable students, and once every 4 years, a tournament is held to allow the use of the cards for one day to the winner. This year, the tournament will take place in the second semester. As the year begins, already great students seem to excel in all categories, especially dueling.
At Yomegon Academy, a student called “The Agent of Wisdom”, or, in reality, Gene Reboke, uses powerful monsters called “Virons”. Also at Yomegon is “The Agent of Force”, or Akon Tamaji. He masters a great Deck of seemingly unbeatable forces.
At Zongoon, a girl, Yena Loidelle dubbed “The Agent of Speed” uses a fantastic Machine Deck, and her friend, Kouri Saba, is as of yet unknown.
The only student at Xeoxin who shows much potential is “The Agent of Skill”, or Kiyo Yatemno, who values his “Scar Force” monsters.
The story begins watching the start of a duel between Akon and another student, Jero.
“I draw!” The boy shouts. In his Raviel Cobalt uniform, black hair shaking, he stares wildly at his hand. In it are 3 monsters, and 2 Spell Cards. His draw was a Trap card, which he takes to Set, and summons the fist monster.
“I call upon the power of my Parallel Hero Roaring Windian!” he cries, summoning a strange teal savage with wings of blue, and brandishing a silver-edged gold trident. Snarling, it assumes a battle position, aiming his wicked weapon.(1000/1000)z
“And I activate this-my Parallel Call Spell Card. It lets me add a Parallel Hero to my hand for 500 Life Points.” he explains, checking his Deck and selecting 1 monster, flashing it to his opponent, saying, “It’s called Parallel Hero Burning Lordon.”(1200/800) Akon flips the activated Spell into his Graveyard, and calmly ends his turn, his Life Point meter dropping to 3500.
His opponent, a small boy in a Hamon Gold uniform, draws his first card, and summons it: the monster Ancient Gear Knight(1800/500). With a trembling voice, he commands it to attack, claiming no Spell or Traps can be activated in response.
Akon chuckles, and says, “Nope, kid. Read the card better-that’s only after it’s been Second Summoned. So now, I can use a Spell or Trap, which I will, because you’ve triggered my Parallel Release. When activated, I can send a Parallel Hero from my hand to the Grave, and increase a Parallel Hero’s ATK by the ATK of the sent monster. But, only if the sent monster is of an equal or lower Level than the targeted Hero. So I choose to send my Parallel Hero Waterush Triex,(800/1200)” Akon revealed a waterlogged monsters brandishing a katana made of light, “ increasing my Windian’s ATK by 800. The battle’s a draw.”
“Oh…c-c-crap…your t-turn…” Jero stutters. Akon mutters something, then calls, “Tut tut, kid, you need to lay down some cards to defend yourself. A monster like that is strong, but isn’t enough to beat me on its own. Reinforce it with Spells and Traps! So, I draw, and summon this-Parallel Hero Thundershokk!(1600/1400)” As he plays the monster, a burst of light and a roar, reveals a great bolt of lightning, with no source, moving impenetrably around, with a dagger in each zap-inducing hand.
“Next, my Spell card, a little number called my Parallel Join!” Akon grins widely, revealing the Burning Lordon in his hand, a wicked firebreathing creature with a blue spear, and sends it, along with the Thundershokk monster to the Grave to summon a more dastardly figure. Emerging from the card Parallel Join’s hologram is a large, vibrating thing, blazing and shocking. With a joint core of thunder and fire, it glares menacingly down at Jero, who cries out in fear.
“Yeah…that’s my Parallel Hero Burn Circuit for ya…(2500/2000)” Akon says, shrugging. “Parallel Join works like Poly, but requires Parallel Heroes. And for the record, my Burn Circuit can’t be destroyed by battle. So I’d like to show you his powerful effect: by discarding 1 card during my Main Phase,” Akon sends one of his 2 remaining cards to the Grave, “and I can decrease the ATK of a face-up monster by the same amount I decrease Burn Circuits’ by. And I decrease his 2500 to 1700 to reduce your Ancient Gear Knight to a measly 1000 ATK. Roaring Windian, attack!” The teal beast flies forward and strikes down the mech menace, dealing 100 damage to Jero, reducing his Life Points to 3900.
Jero jeers “But he’s got 1000, just like my Knight!”
“Yes,” Akon starts, “But Windian gains 100 ATK per card in my hand when attacking stronger monsters. Now, Burn Circuit, attack!” The attacking beast reduces Jero’s Life Points to 2200. Setting a card face-down, Akon ends his turn.
Jero draws his next card, and then activates a Spell: Linear Accelerator Cannon. He then plays his Power Bond, fusing two Cyber Dragons in his hand to make Cyber Twin Dragon, ATK doubled to 5600. Sacrificing it for his cannon, he deals 2800 to Akon, going to 700. After placing a card face-down and ending his turn, he shouts, “And when I would be defeated by taking 2800, you will be, for I activate my Barrel Behind the Door! Dealing all that damage to you!”
Akon smiles, and reveals his face-down. Ring of Defense. At this, it is known he can attack directly, ending it.
Akon walks over to Jero, and says “You could have ended it by attacking with Cyber Twin, easily. Better luck next time, though.” Akon walks away smiling, wearing his Weapon Disc around his waist, in the shape of a sword.
His roommate, not far from him, is Ado Mons, a transfer from Xeoxin Academy. His Deck remains unknown, as he has private dueling lessons with Professor Homeng.
Walking back to his room with Ado, who’s blue hair stays perfectly solitary even at running speeds, he asks, “Wanna duel me when we get back to the Dorm? Ado, I still haven’t gotten to see you in action.”
Ado replies simply, “I’m not quite ready to reveal my Deck to you. It’s not even fully know to the principal.”
Akon’s eyes widen and he says, “ Even Principal Gomaz doesn’t know?! Show me!” Ado shrugs him away, but eventually caves in and hands his Deck to Akon.
Akon flips through the cards, and examining a strange Fusion Monster, he asks Ado, “These are some weird cards. Shard of Atenmos: Core Cobra, Propelled Penguin, Abdomen Mantis, these are some different cards. And what’s this Spell? ‘Call of the Rider’? What is that?”
Ado snatches his cards back and says, “You’ll see soon enough. I have a duel set up against the Agent of Speed herself next week.” Akon shouts, “Yena?! Her?! So soon?! Why can’t I face her?”
Ado opens their dorm room door, saying, “I guess the Agents are in their own class. They shouldn’t face each other until the tournament.”
Akon sighs, accepting this, and drops his Weapon Disc on the floor while throwing his Raviel Cobalt jacket on his bed and picking up a candy bar.
Far across the sea, at Xeoxin Academy, a duel begins between Kiyo Yatemno and another student, a girl named Bri. She yells at Kiyo, her black hair flying, that he stands no chance. “If I win, you tell me where my brother Ado went!”
Kiyo, shoving a lock of black hair out of his eyes, says, “Even if you won, I don’t know anything!” Kiyo pulls his Weapon Disc up, in the jagged form of a butterfly sword, and draws his cards.
“Liar!” Bri draws, and claims, “I activate this-my Spell Blast Canceller, and for 500 Life Points per Standby Phase, I get to negate any Spells you play! And to go with it is my Trap Blast Canceller, which does the same thing with Trap Cards! And now I summon this: my Dark Faunax-Deskerd!” As she summons it, a great beast grows from the ground, with black vines and thorns everywhere. Roots fling from it as it towers over Kiyo, drawing mighty gusts of air.(3000/3000)
“However, all my Dark Faunax cards have a great disability. They are all Level 8, but they lose ATK and DEF for every Tribute I neglect. So Deskerd’s original ATK and DEF drops to 1000.” The large beast shrinks to 1/3 its original size. “Your turn, like it matters!”
Kiyo pulls a card from his Deck, and places a card from his hand on the field in Attack Position. “This-“ Kiyo begins, as a feiry armored soldier appears, brandishing a white axe, and covered with many battle scars appears. A long drape of gem-studded crests are chained to its neck as Kiyo finishes with, “my Scar Force Alchetem. He can’t attack this turn, but he does get a Scar Counter on him immediately.” One of the gems on his “collar” lights up after Kiyo’s finish. (1700/1300) “I place one card face-down and end my turn.
Bri claims, “Good! So I draw, pay 1000 Life Points for Spell and Trap Blast Canceller’s, and summon this from my hand! Dark Faunax-Scraemen!(2500/2500), and its ATK and DEF now drop to 700 each! Now for my Spell! Double Summon, so I can summon again! I Tribute Scraemen to summon Dark Faunax-Taotel Oblivu!” Another dark vined creature is replaced with a larger purple vined figure.(2400/2400)
“You see, Taetel Oblivu’s ATK won’t decrease because my Scraemen counts for 2 Tributes, when used on a Plant Type. Taetel Oblivu, attack and destroy his Scar Force!” The purple beast rears, and launches an attack on Alchetem. Alchetem counters, and is destroyed.
Kiyo adjusts his glasses and says, “When Alchetem leaves the field with a Scar Counter on him, the Battle Phase ends. Also, he can destroy Spell and Trap Cards equal to the number of Scar Counters on him, so long as I discard the same number from my hand.” Dropping a card into his Graveyard, the Spell Blast Canceller card’s image is destroyed. “I’ve already told you, Bri. I have no idea where your brother is. He left almost 2 weeks ago.”
“You’re lying!” Bri shouts. “It can’t be true! You have to know!”

“I don’t know anything about where he went, Bri. I’d like him back too. His Deck was almost able to beat mine. I miss fighting his Me-” Kiyo started, when Bri yelled, “Don’t even mention his cards! You aren’t worthy of his dueling skills!”
Kiyo looked surprised. Bri was shaking, not even looking at her cards. “You really miss him, don’t you?” he asked. She stuttered, and replied, “Of course. Where is he?”
“I honestly don’t know for sure, but I heard he transferred.”
“Oh…” Bri looked away, focusing on the horizon. “He did say he’d like to visit Akon…”
“Hm?” Kiyo muttered. “You don’t mean the Agent of Force, do you?”
Bri answered, “Of course I do. Now make your move! I’ll find out the truth later, but for now, a great duel!”
Smirking, Kiyo drew his card, and activates a Spell Card. “Go, Scar Load! With it, I add a Scar Force from my Deck to my hand. If it’s summoned this turn, I take 500 damage, but if its summoned next turn, it can attack immediately. So I summon this-Scar Force Chotine!” An armored soldier appeared with a saber in its hands, and the same gem chain as Alchetem appeared around it(1300/300). Kiyo’s Life Point meter went from 3300 to 2800. “Now I activate this Spell, my Scar Open. By revealing 2 Scar Force monsters in my hand, I can destroy 2 cards on the field.” Kiyo shows 2 monsters-Scar Force Seiro and Scar Force Henzedr, to Bri, and destroys Trap Canceller and Taetel Oblivu.
“Next, I play a face-down, and end my turn.” He finishes, as Bri draws a card, and Tributes Deskerd to summon her Dark Faunax-Drawwe. (2600/2600) “Drawwe’s ATK and DEF go down to 2000 though, but that’s okay. When its summoned I draw 1 card.” Picking up a card, she smiles and activates it. “Go, Dark Faunax Bloom! With this Spell, I draw 1 card for each Dark Faunax I remove from my Deck from play. By removing these three, I draw 3 more!” Drawing thrice, she then plays 2 face-downs and attacks Chotine.
“You just triggered my Scar Stamina. A Scar Force is not destroyed in battle, but damage goes on as usual and adds a Scar Counter to Chotine.” His Life Points drop to 2100 as the Battle Phase ends. He draws, and summons Scar Force Henzedr in Defense Mode. Another soldier in scarred armor appears next to Chotine. “Next is my Spell, Scar Double! A Scar Force with a Scar Counter puts another Scar Counter on another Scar Force! So Chotine and Henzedr each have 1. “
“Now, I activate from my Graveyard, Scar Rush. With it, a Scar Force I control can attack immediately. I have to discard 2 cards from the top of my Deck, however.” Sending 2 cards to the Grave, Kiyo adds, “And, with their abilities, you’re going down.” Holding only 2 cards, he activates one, increasing Henzedr’s ATK to 2000. “Scar Loss. Remove a Scar Force from play and increase a monster’s ATK by the Level of the removed monster times 100. I removed Alchetem.”
“And now, I activate both their effects! Chotine can attack directly if I remove his Scar Counter! And Henzedr gains 400 ATK and DEF by removing his Scar Counter! So Chotine attack directly, and now Henzedr, defeat that Drawwe!” Chotine slashes through Bri, dealing 1300 damage, and Henzedr smashes the dark plant into bits of light. Afterwards, Bri’s Life Point Meter reads only 2300. She laughs and says, “Now 2 things happen. I activate Drawwe’s effect. When it goes to the Graveyard, if I remove it from play, you discard your hand. And my face-down card, Second Seed, summons a Dark Faunax when one goes out, and treats it with 1 Tribute!”
Summoning another strange plant entitled Dark Faunax-Corral, whose ATK goes from 2900 to 2200, Bri smiles and draws. “I play Dark Faunax Rain, dealing 200 damage per Dark Faunax removed from play or in the Grave. So, that’s 3 removed by Dark Faunax Bloom, and Drawwe, Deskerd, Scraemen, and Taetel Oblivu, dealing 1400!” Bri then launches an attack.
Kiyo shouts, “And now, my Scar Flash card! Removing it from the Grave from play negates a battle between my Scar Force monsters, and puts 1 Scar Counter on each of them.” One crest on each knight lights up.
Bri replies, “Darn. You go, then. Next turn you’re done.”
Kiyo smirks and says, “Don’t be so sure about that, Bri.” He draws his card and activates it. “Scar Spread! My Spell allows me to place Scar Counters on my monsters for each card I send from my Deck to the Grave. By this, I’ll send 6 cards, and pay 100 per card-“ Kiyo’s Life Points reach 100. “-And now…Henzedr gets 3 Scar Counters and Chotine gets 3. 4 each, then.” Kiyo explains.
Bri looks extinguished, then laughs. “So? What good are those?”
“Well, you see, I can activate my Scar cards from the grave by sending more cards from my Deck to the Grave. I send 2 Scar Force monsters to the Grave from my Deck to activate my Scar Shot from my Grave. It’s a Trap Card normally, but it can be used as a Spell when I send an extra Scar Force from my Deck.” Finishing by sending an additional Scar Force to the Grave, he activates Scar Shot. “With it, I get to destroy a monster who’s ATK is lower than the total number of Scar Counters I remove from the field x 300! So since that creature of yours has only 2200, it gets a one way trip to Oblivion!” Kiyo laughs, then declares an attack with Henzedr.
“Not so fast! I trigger this-“ revealing a face-down card, with a Dark Faunax on it, she finishes, “Dark Petal Blast. When a Dark Faunax leaves the field, we take damage equal to the ATK written on the card. So we both lose, huh?” Bri smiles, but then looks confused when Kiyo laughs even harder. “Nope, Bri, I win. You lose Life Points, I don’t. You triggered Scar Wall in my Grave, and by sending 5 cards from the top of my Deck to the Grave, I get to negate any damage, except Battle Damage. Your own card was your downfall.”
Bri shrugs, as all the holograms disappear from the field. “A good Duel. I can see why you’re the Agent of Skill.”
Kiyo smiles, and shakes her hand. “I told you before, I play to win.”
Two days later, Yena arrives from Zongoon, brandishing a stafflike Weapon Disc. Smiling, she throws her long purple hair and declares, “Where’s this Ado kid? I wanna see what he’s got!” Her friend, Kouri, whose icy blue hair was being matted down by the helicopter’s whirlwind, says over the roar, “He’s waiting in the main Duel Hall. And can we stay for a while, not leave immediately? That’s kind of rude when you finish and go. I’d like to see the rumored Akon, Agent of Force, if it’s okay with you…”
Yena flashed her bright eyes at Kouri, who cowers. “Fraternizing with the enemy? NEVER!”
Kouri responds, “Not fraternizing, miss…uh…spying…?” Yena thinks this over and says, “Good luck. I need all the help I can get.” Laughing, she and Louri walk to the stair door. A sudden outburst from the door reveals Akon, looking around wildly. He looks directly at Yena, then to Kouri, to who he rushes up and exclaims, “YOU! Are you Yena?”
Yena thinks to herself, Idiot…I’m over here… Kouri shudders and says, “I’m..not a girl, you j-jerk!” Akon backs off, scowls, and asks Yena, “Then do you know where she is?” Yena strikes him upside the head with her Weapon Disc and yells, “I’M YENA, YOU MORON!” Akon screams and says, “HEY! Is that any way to treat the Agent of Force?!”
Yena jumps back and shouts, “YOU?! A moronic ape like you, one of the Agents?!”
Akon exclaims at the same time, “YOU?! A rampart witch like you, one of the Agents?!”

When 2 monsters in ATK mode with the same ATK attack each other, they both die.

Can't change it, that's how I play...Isn't it possible to attack and have a card activated so they both live, by accident?...Sorta?

Yes, this card. Assuming both players have it active. Otherwise I don't believe so.

Hm...Damn...
Well, it IS the future...and I thought that a draw might occur if a SPell or Trap activates. Guess I was wrong.
