Title: User-Run Missions

Missions appear to be somewhat in demand. User-run missions were around a while back, but were taken away when 2.0 was implemented. If we were to bring them back with the old rules (i.e. you provide the reward), would this be something that you guys would want? Would you actually make Missions for other people to do? Let us know. If there's enough positive response, there's a large chance that we'll implement them.

Yes, but I think you should give us certain criteria so we wouldn't over/under reward ourselves.

Based on what zero told me about user-run missions on MSN (I wasn't there when it happened), it sounds good; just don't let me make the missions ^_^

I agree.

Well, yeah. We have rules for how much NPC navis give out as their rewards. We wouldn't leave it up to you to decide how much to give out. XD

Of course we would have thought of something like that. o_o

I think Game Mods could just ask players if they can add members to their Mission if they have the same difficulty criteria. That way, we don't really have to make too many missions.

As for User-Run Missions, I don't like them. It's kind of a mess to have to approve the rewards for a Mission then approve the reward transfers after the mission is completed. I also think this system won't work unless the Mission Givers will have sufficient EXP and Zenny to give to the player after the Mission is completed.

You wouldn't really have to approve the rewards. They can do whatever they want with their money/EXP. You would just have to deal with the transfer, which you have to do half of with normal missions anyways. I was also thinking that EXP rewards should be optional, since...EXP is a lot harder to come by in 2.0 than it was in 1.5. Also, the user would also be able to choose whether their mission gave out only EXP, only Zenny, or both.

really? you can make a deal like that? well, anyway, I think it's ok. I wanna try it out myself

If something like this were to come into play, a ratio system would be the best way to factor a base reward for any mission. Observe:

QUOTE
Mission Type: Battle (Base rewards 50xp, 500z)
Number of Battles: X (Multiply rewards times 1/2 X. If you want a cap, set it.)
Level of enemies: X (1-3, EX, or SP. Multipy by X if it's a number. EX are times 5, SP are times 7.)

Just keep in mind that that's a basic concept, mind you, not concrete founding idea, so tweak as necessary. It's meant to make less number-crunching for you guys.
