Iruka stood in the ninja hall, calling off the teams.

“Team 17, Canoko Oriyako, Sobume Thu, and Uriu Tadan. Led by Nu Kuku.

Team 18, Koji Arukuji, Min Si, and Nobu Hogami. Led by Zegara Hakare .

Team 19, Su Suyame, Yoh Jokendi, and Sasame Tu. Led by Hufure Sabe.

Team 20, Ko Rourori, Fang Inuzuka, and Kitana Shirai. Led by Kara Karake.”

“Aww, come on!” Koji shouted. “I’m with the pyro kid?!”

“Sit down, Koji! We paired you all up based on your strengths and weaknesses. If you had a better grade, you might have been paired with Yoh and Sasame.” Iruka shouted back.

“WHAT?! I’d rather be with Fang!” Koji yelled. His classmate, Marco, next to him, asks, “Please sit down, you’re not really gonna change his mind.”” Marco, a dark blue haired boy with weird narcolepsy issues, constantly falls asleep in class. At this time, his head hits the desk with a deafening thud.

“Um…should he know his head’s gonna break open?” Koji asks.

Iruka mutters something along the lines of “I told him to bring his pillow…” and then continues his readoff.

Later, Min, Nobu, and Koji are all outside, under the swing near the entrance, waiting for Zegara. A white-haired Jounin soon arrives, greeting them.

“Hey there, newbies. I’m your leader, Zegara Harake. Let’s head to the river. I’ll explain my teachings there anyways.”

Koji turns to Min and asks, “What’s up with him?”


On the Konoha Academy roof, Fang, Kitana, and Ko wait, when a beautiful woman walks up and greets them.

“Gennin, Ko Rourori, Fang Inuzuka, and Kitana Shirai. Present yourselves.”

Standing and saluting their leader, Ko yells, “Hey, Miss Kara! Is my brother here?”

“Um, what? Who’s your brother…?” Kara asks nervously.

“He’s about 4 feet long, I think, and he’s got 4 points on him, in different-“

“You mean a shuriken?”

“Yeah. What else would it be?”

Thank god he can’t see my face… Kara thinks, as she looks over and sees Fang spinning a large shuriken while Kitana watches admirably.

“Here we are.” Zegara announces, although the large river might have given it away easily. “Now go catch your lunch. No weapons.”

Smiling at their shocked faces, he slumps under the nearest tree. “So, tell us a bit about yourselves.”

Koji announces, after wading into the water, “I’m Koji, I’m tough, and I’d rather not be here with Nobu. He’s a freak.” With that, he spots a fish, and strikes it twice with his index fingers, and picks it up after it floats to the surface.

On the other side, at the Academy, Kara asks the same, and gets this from Ko:

“I’m here to prove I can be strong, without my sight. I’m Ko, and I’m probably going to kill Fang now.”

“What the fu-!?” With a grunt, he attacks Fang for taking his brother.

"You're whacked out. Get the hell off me!"Fang yells as his pet dog tries to bite Ko.

"Will you two just stop it! I'm Shirai Kitana and I want tobe the best in my clan. My spear whip is awesome!"she grunted trying to separate Fang and Ko.

"My name is Nobu Hogami." Nobu began in a deadly tone, shooting an evil glare at Koji. "I belong to the Hogami clan, obviously. My clan is of fire users and that is all you need to know."

He snapped his fingers and the fish Koji was holding began to burn.

"I'm Min Si. My family bloodline came from China, but I was born in Konoha. Throughout the generations, we have learned to use silk as a weapon, and it is quite useful." She said proudly as she sat under a shady tree, playing with a few strands of silk, making a few things out of the strands.

Kara watches this and begins to doubt their teamwork.

"Anyway! I'm Inuzuka Fang and I only want to be stronger!"Fang yelled loudly

"Hm. Stronger than what? That mutt of yours?" Ko asks, lying on the floor, not knowing how bloody he is.

Nobu began to walk away and said,"This is pointless, if we're not going to do anything, I'm leaving."

"Is that the declaration of weakness, young wildfire?" asked Zegara, calmly peeling an apple with a kunai while watching Koji brutally assault the fish.

"Okay now you're asking for it. You can insult me, my dream, and everything else. Just remember that the next time you insult Aoiburu I'll kill you."Fang said as Aoiburu licked his ankles to make him calm down.

Kitana simply rolled her eyes. She knew that the one mistake Ko could make was to insult an Inuzuka's dog. It would've been pointless to try to calm Fang down more than Aoiburu could. She simply waited for him to sit back down.

"Right, right. Dogs are way better than shuriken. With all the piss, and crap, and yapping, sure, sure. Inuzuka, just don't get in my way."

How could he tell he was in his way...? Kara thought. "Okqay, I'm Kara Karake, your Jounin leader. I'd like you to each explain to me some of your best skills. That way, we can work on them individually so each member is a great teammate to the rest. understood?"

"Sure, sure, sure. I can use a great deal of Taijutsu, and my brother can transform into other weapons too." Ko said.

"Yeah, I'm sure shuriken are much better. The fact that they're inanimate, emotionless, and a basic any-old ninja tool must make you feel proud. You must be psychotic, but then again you talk to shuriken! My best technique is Gatsuuga. It involves me and Aoiburu through my Ninja Art of Beast Mimicry. Then we spin like a hurrcane slashing everything in our path!"Fang yelled

"My best technique is the Art of the Spear Whip. If I use my Setting Aflame technique as well it's even stronger!"Kitana said cheerily. She was hoping to bring Ko and Fang a bit closer together with this.

"EMOTIONLESS?! How dare he speak like that about you, brother!" Ko yelled blankly at his shuriken.

"See? He's talking to his shuriken. I don't understand how you can't respect Aoiburu who is animate with feelings, but you yell at a shuriken!"Fang yelled again

"Shut the hell up Fang! You too Ko! I want a peace of mind and you two are just bothersome!"Kitana yelled. She had finally been pushed to her edge.

"well we aren't doing anything. If you want to do your job right, then do your job, not just waste time." Nobu said Zegara.

"Who says I'm not? By just watching you, I get ideas of how you truly succeed. That Koji kid can knock a person's chakra right back into them, and that Min girl can ensnare anyone. What can you do, I wonder?" Zegara asks, biting into his apple.


"All of you, quiet down. I'm going to explain some things to you. I can bend by body into any position, and can even become a paper soldier. With my poison ink, I can write runes upon my victims to deal effects. because of this, I am very susceptible to wind or fire based jutsu. That's why I work in teams with powerful and controlled Taijutsu and Ninjutsu experts." Kara finished. "Now, let's see what you've got. Go at me with full force!"

Ko turned and looked past Kara. "Wait, full force?"

"I've already explained my abilities." Nobu answered. "Fire manipulation. What else do you need to know?"

Looking up, Zegara answers, "Well. Fire manipulation. What else do I need to know? Everything. So for this experiment, you'll each attack me, so I can see how well you all handle your chakra."

"Full force? Are you positive sensei, because me and Aoiburu are pretty strong."boasted Fang

Kitana simply watched. "Well, I guess I'd better get ready."she thought as she reached into her pocket for her whip.

"If you don't want to, I'll go fir-" suddenly looking up, Ko is missing with his shuriken spinning directly at her. In an instant, she bends backwards and puts her pant legs next to her arms, in opposite directions, her head shifting all around. A shadow crosses the sky as Ko is plummeting below, wielding his brother spinning dangerously.

"So he is pretty strong. Well, he's not going to show me up!"Fang yelled as Aoiburu jumped on his back. "Ninja Art of Beast Mimicry- Man Beast Clone! Gatsuuga!"Fang yelled as he and an exact clone of him spun like a tornado at Kara.

Swiftly looking in all directions, Kara slashed her foot back, and used her hand to grab the leg of the spinning Fang, thrusting him in the path of Ko. Ko only jumped off of Fang's back, shuriken still spinning, and made it explode. Once the dust had cleared, he was brandishing a giant partisan-like weapon, aimed at Kara's throat.

"Heh. Not bad, kiddies. But you forgot a few things already. My ink." Glancing in horror at his body, Ko turned his head up, and yelled, "Now that's NOT funny! I can't even see them!"

"Not on, but under." Kara replied, then formed the Tiger seal, and added, "Climb.", causing the runic seal below Ko to make the floor rise and ripple like water, making a mountain of an area.

Kitana started running straight up the mountain. Fang and Aoiburu(still transformed) were right behind her. Kitana was swinging her spear whip above her head dangerously.

Grinning, Kara bent out and thrust her paper arm, attempting to trip Fang and Kitana. Then, with a lash, her foot flew out at Ko, who was in mid jump.

Fang and Aoiburu took this time to jump over the arm and attack. "Gatsuuga!"Fang screamed as he and Aoiburu attempted to attack Kara once more.

Kitana had been tripped, but regained her balance. She then threw her spear in the hopes of stabbing Kara.

"Wait, attack you?" Min asked curiously. More of a peace-lover than violent fiend, she hesitated to do so. "Are you sure?"

Min stood up. "But if I have too..." She pulled at a loose string at the end of her sleeve, unravelling the thread. she positioned it into a few strands and began to push chakra into the strings. The threads seemed to just whip into life, lashing everywhere, twisting and turning.

Finally, after entwining into the a large bundle of silk, Min yelled, "Silk Shuriken Jutsu!" The bundle shaped into a large shuriken as Min formed a strange handsign.

She tossed the newly formed weapon at Zegara which went flying straight at him.

Kara whipped behind both of them, and made another rune on the ground between. If expanded, making a giant rock dummy.

"You see-" she said, with paper folding all around her, "I said I can bend my form because I can. You all need to work together and harness your strengths."


The silk shuriken exploded, and revealed Zegara standing with a blade of chakra in each hand. "Yep. Not bad, needs better aim." Koji, at this point, was in mid-rush towards Zegara. With a swift jab, Zegara stepped back, temporarily stunned. "First Strike!" called Koji, then spun his arm around and hit him again, with a little more force. "Second Strike!" he yelled, and spun his arm even more, gathering chakra and was about to strike when Zegara exploded in a cloud of smoke.

"Hm. Nice moves. Too bad I saw you coming. I've got a technique to show you, maybe you can learn it too someday." Zegara said, and put his hands into a Tiger seal, b7ut with 2 fingers up on his right hand and 1 in his left. "Light Clone Jutsu!" With that, a dozen clones appeared out of nowhere, with no smoke effect. Each one was brandishing a chakra saber.

"Fine. Well, since you've seen me and Kitana what can we do Ko? If you throw your "brother" then Kitana can throw her spear-whip through the hole. While that provides coverage me and Aoiburu can hit wtih Gatsuuga."Fang whispered in Kitana and Ko's ears.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Ko said, jumping and throwing his brother at top speed, then dropping and dashing to make quick handsigns.

Kitana then aimed her spear and threw it. Fang and Aoiburu readied to attack.

Min's silk threads were dangling and drifting through the air, slowly falling to the ground.
"Silk Shuriken Jutsu! Thousand Strikes!" Min yelled as she performed a handsign that looked like open hands. Her fingers pulled, and chakra traveled through the threads, leading to the exploded ones that soon reformed to create smaller versions of the Silk Shuriken.

Min finally jerked the strands, and many miniature silk shurikens went flying back at Zegara.

All the Zegara's whipped their swords in unison, causing the silk to be cut further.

As Kara's body became more paperlike, she bent around the spear and began slashing at Fang with one arm, and using the other to grab the shuriken.

Nobu stared at the strands of silk drifting in the wind, mainly the ones surrounding Zegara.

"Its perfect." Nobu murmured. "Fire Style, Fire Wisp Jutsu!"

Suddenly, from thin air appeared wisps of fire that went towards the silk. The silk lit on fire.

"Fire Style, Inferno Expansion Jutsu!" He yelled.

The burning silk's fire burned even more, and the flames of the silk grew and grew, until the were large balls of pure fire.

"Fire Style, Inferno Bomb Jutsu!" Nobu said.

The giant fireballs homed in on Zegara and exploded on impact.

Aoiburu jumped right over Fang to hit Kara.

Kara whipped her neck and strangled Aoiburu, and secretly put some ink on him, just in case.

Zegara's clones exlpoded, as the real Zegara dashed behind Nobu and proceeded to hit his justly on the spine. "Not bad. With you three, Koji could distract someone, Min could paralyze them, and you, Nobu, could even decimate. But maybe you should ask Min before burning her precious silk." Koji, lying on the ground, stared in awe, then jumped up and shouted, "You're lucky I didn't have to use my Final Strike!"

A Zegara clone appeared behind Koji with a chakra mace in his hand. "Excuse me?"

Min watched her silk burn before her eyes. Now she was mad.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!!!" She screamed angrily. Min unleashed countless threads of silk.
"SILK SCYTHE JUTSU! SILK REAPER!" She yelled on top of her lungs. The individual strings wrapped around each other as Min performed focused chakra into them. By doing so, resulted in the creation known as the Silk Reaper. It was a titanic version of the Grim Reaper woven from silk. It resembled it greatly. The robe was black as night, the bony limbs were an eerie white, and the face was hidden in the great shadow of the hood. The Silk Reaper wielded a great large scythe, and the blade of the scythe grew larger as Min pushed in more chakra and silk.

"SILK SCYTHE JUTSU! ENRAGED REAPER!" Min bellowed in an almost demonic voice.

The golem of silk brandished its scythe, and began swinging and slashing randomly at the ground, causing the ground to tremble and the earth to shatter into chunks of rock that went flying everywhere.

"I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" Min screamed.

It was obvious that she was really ticked off, considering that her silk was burned.

"...Oooh....right..." Zegara muttered. "I should have told them...hm...Koji, stand up please."

Koji looked behind at Zegara. "Yes, sensei?"

"I'm gonna need to know a way to knock her out quick."

"Oh. Okay. I'll be done in a second. She got like this once in school." Koji hopped up and dashed past him with a shuriken in each hand. Dodging various threads and rocks, he appeared behind her, and swiftly struck her on the base of her neck, thrusting his own chakra in to paralyze hers.

"You're going to kill me!"both clones of Fang said trying to keep up the illusion.

"Nope." Kara siad, releasing Aoiburu. "Ink Rune, Kai Release!" Shoving the newly reformed Aioburu aside, claiming, "You need to learn some things, kids. Most jutus have one weak flaw. You Beast Mimicry has the bad spot that it's as obvious as a transformation when Aoiburu takes your look. Although he looks and feels like you, I can sense the lower heartbeat. Dogs and humans ARE different. Dogs have a faster and more auidible heartbeat. That's how I knew."
