For anyone familiar with the Pokemon Contest threads from the old board, this shouldn't be too difficult. You post a description of your character and the Pokemon he or she uses in Contests. I remind you that the Contests work the same way they do in the anime, so you may use Seals if you like, and your character should have a casual outfit, and a contest outfit.

Name: Chris
Age: 18 (but only because my birthday's coming up, hint hint)
Desc: Short, dusty blonde hair, blue eyes. Wears a light blue shirt with black sleeves, blue jeans, and glasses. Sometimes calm, but it's easier to provoke him the more agitated he is.
Current Pokemon: Gengar, Marowak, Pidgeot, Magmortar, Cloyster, Lucario
Contest outfit: A black tuxedo.

One more thing, regarding Pokemon moves: Please limit yourself to four moves per Pokemon.

Chris looked around as he entered Jubilife City. He heard that there was to be a Pokemon Contest there, and had come to enter. 'Jubilife's a pretty busy place,' he thought to himself.

Contest outfit: A Honchkrow outfit.

Chris walked out of the stadium after registering for the Contest. "Okay... now what?" he asked no one in particular.

"Now, we wait..." Rock said, having already registered. Honchkrow was, as usual, neatly perched on his shoulder, asleep under its fat wings.

"Well, duh!" Chris said, rolling his eyes at Rock. "This isn't my first Contest, you know. I simply meant, 'what should I do while I wait?'"

Current Pokemon: Gallade, Electivire, Sceptile, Charizard, Ferligatr
Contest outfit: White tux, pants, black tie.

(Excellent. Now I'll wait for one more person before getting the Contest going.)

"By the way, kid," Chris continued. "How many ribbons have you won?"

(One more thing I shouldn't have to mention, but will anyway. NO LEGENDARIES!)

(Well I dont. So whateve.)

"I've got one. A single ribbon. I intend on multiplying that by two," Rock said calmly and cooly.

"Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt," Chris said, pulling out his ribbon case and showing two ribbons.

"So, two flukes, huh?" Rock asked cockily. "Just jokin', just jokin'. The name's Rock Tiga'an, the same kid from the news!" Rock said, pointing to a T.V. in the waiting room.

"I don't follow the news, kid," Chris replied. "It's always something about someone getting shot, or kidnapped, or something like that. And if it isn't, it's 'Oh, look, celebrities acting like jackasses! People actually care about this! Let's put it on TV!' No thanks."

"You mean, you don't watch Contests Daily?! How can you live with yourself!" Rock said angrily, forcing Honchkrow to wake up and stare at Chris angrily.

"Ohhhh, Contests Daily, huh? Well, why didn't you just say so?" Chris said in realization. "Yeah, I watch that."

"Well, if you saw it last night, I caused quite the upset," Rock said in a self-satisfying voice. Honchkrow calmed down and went to sleep again. "As a matter of fact, the rerun is on right now!"

("Last night?" How could Rock have made it from the first Contest to Jubilife in time for the next one?)

(It wasn't an official contest. It was one of those 'on the road' fake contests that still sorta count.)

(Makes sense, I guess. But I don't honestly see why Contests Daily would cover an informal contest.)

(Well, why wouldn't they? Technically, they ARE contests, and there isn't an official contest everyday.)

(Fair point.)

"Kid, unlike you, I'm a serious Coordinator," Chris started to say in an annoyed voice. "I watch Contests Daily to learn new and inventive tricks to use in Contests, so forgive me if I don't recognize some punk who just got his very first ribbon right away."

"Grrr...! That's it! I challenge you to a battle!" Rock said angrily, his short temper working at a quick speed. He grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and huffed. "Let's take this outside!"

"Kid, if you really want to battle me, you'll have to wait for the Contest. That is, if you can get to the battle round." Chris turned around to walk away. "See ya," he said with a wave as he headed off towards the dressing room.

"Don't make bets you can't keep." Rock hissed out, putting away Jynx's pokeball as he walked to the dressing room, as well. After getting dressed in his Honchkrow outfit, returning Honchkrow to his Pokeball, and placing the Pokeball in a slot on the left inner-wing of the suit, Rock prepared himself.

(And now, the fun begins. I had a big intro planned, but I lost it looking for Rock's last name, thank you very much, Guy. So instead, we'll jump right to Rock's turn.)

"And Gregory and Aggron score a solid 27.4!" Marian announced. "Ladies and gentleman, that brings us to our next contestant. It's Rock Tiga'an!"

(I must ask you not to type out your whole routine all at once, because I want to work in some commentary from the judges.)

(Alright, I'll do it in bits and chunks, then xD)

Rock approached the field in his Honchkrow outfit, the wings at his side so as to not reveal anything. "KROOOWW!" Rock called, grabbing the Pokeball inside of the wing. He opened the wings of the outfit and tossed the Pokeball, which opened in a shower of feathers and revealed Rock's beloved Honchkrow flying through the feathers elegantly.

"And with a loud cry, Rock unleashes his Honchkrow in a flurry of feathers!" Marian announced.

"Now that's the kind of spirit I've come to expect at these Contests," said Raoul Contesta.

"True. Remarkable!" Mr. Sukizo agreed.

"Not to mention a dazzling entrance from Honchkrow," Nurse Joy remarked.

"Now, Honchkrow, use Nightshade, and follow up with Faint Attack!" Rock called. Honchkrow nodded, his eyes glowing darkly. Soon, he was covered in the darkness, nothing but his yellow beak being visible. After about five seconds, however, he completely vanished from view. The Night Shade disappeared soon after, and Honchkrow was still nowhere to be seen.

"What's this? Honchkrow has disappeared into the Night Shade!" exclaimed Marian. "What does Rock have up his winged sleeve?"

"That's a good question!" Rock said, opening the wing of his costume once more, revealing Honchkrow.

"It's Honchkrow!" Marian cried out in excitement.

(In order, Joy, Sukizo, Contesta)

"I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next!"

"Just remarkable!"

"I'm especially impressed with how he kept up the air of mystery throughout the entire performance."

"Uhhh, Huh?" Ross had just woken up.

Rock chuckled and bowed, Honchkrow bowing on Rock's arm, ending the performance.

As Rock walked off the stage, Marian began to announce the next Coordinator.

"And now, all the way from Lilycove City in the Hoenn region, please give a warm welcome to Chris!"

Chris gave a little bow, then pulled out a Pokeball. "Gengar, Double Team!" he yelled. The ball opened to reveal a blue flame, which split into several more. The flames died down, revealing several Gengar.

"And Chris chooses Gengar, who appears in several bursts of flame via Double Team!" Marian announced.

"Gengar, Will-o-Wisp!" All the Gengar jumped up high, and each let loose a few blue flames. "Now use Psychic!" The Gengar all merged into one, and that one's eyes started to glow with psychic power, moving the flames into a circle, which spun around for a bit. "Now break!" The circle became two lines of flames, which then proceeded to encircle Gengar, one horizontally, one vertically.

"Oh, my!" Marian exclaimed. "Gengar has surrounded itself with a Will-o-Wisp attack! You can tell that Chris is building up to something!"

"Dark Pulse!" Chris shouted. Gengar began to glow with a dark power. A second later, it released a pulsing wave of darkness, shattering the flames and leaving nothing but tiny wisps. Some of the Dark Pulse mixed in with the wisps, making them appear black and blue.

"And Gengar extinguishes the Will-o-Wisp with Dark Pulse, showering the stage in a beautiful flurry of wisps!" Marian announced.

"An excellent combination of attacks that perfectly compliment each other," Contesta stated.

"Truly remarkable!" Mr. Sukizo exclaimed.

"Gengar perfectly synchronized the movements of the Will-o-Wisps, and that's not an easy thing to do," Nurse Joy remarked.

Chris and Gengar bowed again and left the stage.

Ross had fallen slaeep once again. "Kuzzahh?"

"Heh..." Rock caught up with Chris, smirking. "All you did was show off your Pokemon's attacks. You need to focus more on its natural talent than on what it can do."

"I had Gengar hold back for your sake, kid," Chris retorted. Turning to Gengar, he said, "Next time, you have free rein." With that, Chris walked off, Gengar floating behind backwards, making faces at Rock.

The next few performances included a Yanma using Agility to leave a trail of Swift behind, and a Numel using Amnesia, with anime question marks and everything.

"And now for our next contestant, Ross!" Marian announced.

Ross walked on stage. "Go, Gallade! Psycho Cut!" Gallade spun upon coming out and created a storm of purple psychic swirls, along with red blasts. "Good job!" Ross called happily.

"And Ross doesn't wasye any time as Gallade performs a dazzling Psycho Cut!" Marian shouted to the audience.

"A perfect display of Gallade's power," said Nurse Joy.

"Yes, remarkable," quipped Mr. Sukizo

"Gallade may be strong, but Pokemon Contests aren't decided by brute force," Mr. Contesta remarked.

"Double team!" Ross shouted. Gallade did a long backflip, creating clones as it went. "Now, Bulk Up!" His Gallade swirled upon landing, creating red smoke around it as it tensed.
