I don't know how if this has ever been discussed or not, but this was something that was on another site I used to RP at and found that it was a good way to promote RP'ing.

Now the only way I've seen that people can get any sort of exp or money is to participate in missions or in a battle. Even then, it takes quite a long time to complete a mission and/or battle get the exp you want. So I was thinking that another way of gaining EXP, Zenny and Chips(which I've never really seen any person acquire as a result of a mission) could be post a free form.

Simply put a free form is nothing more than a series of events carried out by one's character where upon completion someone would come along, usually a mod or someone higher, read the free form in its entirety and give out a reward in the form of EXP, Zenny, and Chips, at the dirscretion of the person who judges it. These rewards would of course be equivalent to how well this RP was written, by taking into account how much was written, if it was interesting, was it original, etc... This allows the player to focus on developing ones character without actually having to undergo a mission, giving us more ways to interact.

This free form would of course be written within the context of the RP and must be a realistic as posible. Well as realistic as far as AI's go. In no way would this allow you to go and aimlessly kill off thousands of people or create some super all powerful virus. However something like forging a closer friendship with your Navi, overcoming a powerful virus using some imaginative way, and things like that, are the things that are usually encouraged. The more interesting and original the idea/story, the better.

I will be describing the pros and cons here:

Pros:

*More Character development
*More Exp, Zenny and possibly Battle Chips
*Allows the player to be more creative
*It's fun since it's sorta like fan fiction, but you get rewards
*No need for a Mod to be constantly checking up on the thread and taking turns posting. That is if you choose to do a solo free form. If you want, you can do a free form between a group of people, though please try and keep it small like two at the most, three if you really want to push it.

Cons:

*Requires a little more thinking on the part of the mods, but less time.

Personally, even though it is a little bit more work on the part of the mods, it really isn't isn't that much. However the pros do kinda out weigh the cons in my opinion. Any sort of creative criticism would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to express any doubts, complains, and/or questions you might have.
