Megaman Hackers Legacy
Prologue
It was a clear sunny day in ACDC, children played at the park, the metro was running smoothly, and, above all else, it was the weekend. And there hadn’t been a problem on the net for months.
In net city, all was running smoothly. The officials hadn’t seen anything suspicious on their rounds, but that was because he was good at not being seen. A mysterious navi hovered high over the buildings out of the reach of most navies, and above all else out of sight, he seemed to be waiting for something. Suddenly he dropped like a stone, hurtling down from the skies and not bothering to slow as he neared the ground, a dark looking navi was marching up to an official summoning a cyber sword he raised it above his head. Just as he was about to strike the navi struck him, blasting through data and ground and jacking-out just before the deletion point of the net abyss.
The official turned, stunned, and then brought up a COM link requesting back-up, turning to survey the crater in the net street, this event would mark the beginning of troublesome days.

Chapter 1: Questions
Chaud frowned, it had been only 2 hours since the accident and already net crime was on the rise. It wasn’t natural. As Lan hikari rush into scilab he found the place in uproar and confusion, he saw Chaud trying to restore order and rushed over to him. “Chaud! What happened! Chaud sighed, “a mysterious navi was seen in net city, he save an officials life, and now net crime is on a serious raise!”
Lan frowned, “I’ll check it out!” he ran over to a large computer and jacked mega man in to the net. As he did this, the intruder alarm went off in scilab, promptly causing more confusion and uproar. And suddenly out of nowhere a young man materialized in the middle of scilab! This, of course, was too much for the scientists and most fled from the building. As Chaud rushed forward to arrest the young man, he came to him, and gave him a nice welcome, a.k.a, a punch in the face, knocking Chaud out cold, he smiled and promptly crept over to another computer and jacked in a navi to the net.
Meanwhile mega man was fighting off a dozen heel navies, steadily retreating as he did so, what he didn’t realize was that he had retreated up to the top of a building, a skyscraper to be precise, and was about fall off. But that did not change his fate. He fell with a loud resounding scream but was suddenly snatched out of the air by a flying navi with wings and a crown. The navi swooped down to the ground and with a softly-spoken “you owe me nothing” he lunched high into the air firing what appeared to be a Vulcan as he went not at the heel navies but underneath them, causing the floor to give way! They all fell with cries of surprise and anger.
Back at scilab, Chaud and Lan rushed towards the intruder(Lan having jacked mega man out) only to have him dematerialize with an insane laugh and bellow “we will meet again, Lan hikari!”, Lan and Chaud stared in awe and fear and then looked at each other. “We got a long day ahead of us tomorrow, Lan, get some sleep, Chaud advised.
As soon as Lan got home his mother called out to him, “Lan! You got a visitor! He’s waiting in your room!” “A visitor” Lan mumbled, “wonder who it could be”, he opened his door and almost screamed, there, standing in front of him was the young man that had dematerialized right before his eyes at scilab.

“H-how…” Lan stuttered, “How did I get here?” the young man responded coolly, “teleportation, quite the method of transportation, very fast and efficient, and all thanks to soul net”.
“Soul net!” Lan hissed, “You work for Regal!”. “Ha! Regal! That pitiful fool!” laughed the other, “you believe I would work for that imbecile! No I work only for myself, and this is not the soul net you know”.
“Then what is it?” Lan asked genuinely curious, and the other responded, “you have to see it for yourself” and stretched out his hand. In an instant Lan formed a number of rationalizations, it could be a trap, it could be a whole new world, he could see the net as mega man saw it. He reached out and took the hand. Instantly he felt hot and fuzzy and then he shattered only to be pulled back together, he felt cold and brittle, and then he was back to normal, except, he was in the net.

Now you must understand that Lan hikari is not normally one to panic, but this sent him into a fit, and when he felt a cyber sword poke his back and the words “don’t move unless you want to be a shish kabob”, that did not help matters. Then there was a yell and the cyber sword was pulled away, fallowed by several cries of pain and anger and then, silence, a very long silence. Then he was grabbed from behind and whirled around to find himself face to face with a navi of silver and black, who, he noticed, also wore a crown. “Are you ok?” the navi asked. “I think so” Lan replied shakily, “good” the navi turned, paused, threw something over his shoulder and then walked away, and then he leaped high into the air, a pair of wings unfolding from under his cloak and flew away.
Lan caught the object and it was revealed to be a wristband, with several buttons on it.
He pressed the biggest one experimentally and suddenly mega man appeared beside him with a startled look on his face, and when he saw Lan he almost fainted. “Lan! I am so glad your safe! When you dematerialized I thought that you were gone forever!”
“Well I am back now” Lan replied, “and Look at this!” he showed mega man the wristband, “hey” said mega man, “there’s a manual!” after examining the manual carefully Lan pressed a button, and then, he was back in his room.. “Wow” was his only word.
The very next day, first thing, Lan swung by scilab. He showed his father the wristband and he almost feinted. “This technology s so advanced that even I can’t comprehend it!” were the only words uttered by Dr. hikari that day.

Chapter 2:A riddle in the dark

Several days went by and nothing happend, sure mabey the viruses in the net were a bit stronger than usual, but other than that, everything was fine. Untill the day when megaman and crew decided to go to net city and find somthing to do.
Every thing was going as normal, Roll was looking in the cyber stores, Gutsman was looking at chips, and Glide was having a peak at the latest upgrades when megaman happend to look over at the net colosium, and there he saw the form of the navi that had given Lan the wristband, he quickly gathered everyone together and they rushed over to see a firce battle in progress, between the mystyrious navi and non other than Protoman!
Megaman was almost about to yell for protoman, but somthing stoped him, and he watched on. Suddenly the navi looked directly at him and seemed to disregard Protoman, who sized the oportunity to land a solid slash on his oponents chest, the other diden't move and then suddenly began to laugh! Protoman steped back, and then his opponent drew out what Megaman knew to be the Murumasa. then he dissapered, only to reapear behind protoman and stab right through him! Megaman had never thought protoman could loose, but this mystrey navi had blown him aside like a rag in a tornado.
But then just as protoman was about to fall to the ground, his opponent caught him and gently lowered him to the floor! then megaman witnessed what had to be the biggest amount of energy put into a heal he had ever seen, and when thelight fadded protoman was compleatly healed.
Megaman sat agahst, not even Roll could pull off a heal that big! the navi then dissapered, and Megaman felt the weight of a hand on his shoulder, "if you want answers than go to the chip and upgrade store in Dentech city, and bring you're friends to", he turned around just in tim to see a flash of silver around the bend.

After megaman related the incedent to his friends they jacked out, and the next day Lan, Mayl, Yai, and Dex went to dentech city and the chip and upgrade store and there was the young man who had been in Lan's room!
As they aproched him, he turned and said "before I tell you anything, I am afaid that I must swear you to secrecy, right now things are a little hectic", Lan looked at his friends and they nodded, "ok, we wont tell anyone" he replyed.
"Good", "first things first, my name is Nirul, and don't waste your breath, I already know you're names" he said, "also I am not you're enemy, although it may seem like it at times. "If you dont belive me then I will earn your trust, I hope, for we have tough times ahead of us".
