Present day New York, New York. People go on with their lives, happy, angry, miserable, and content. Content, thinking that they’re the only ones there, that the only thing they have to worry about is getting to work or their kids on time, thinking that war is something that’s all fought in some country half way around the world. But, what they don’t know, War is all around them. Murder, death, and creatures that exist only in their dreams…or nightmares.

The fighting rages on and on, to challenge me you must be strong.

I'm far from home and I'm fighting your war.

Some are scared others killing for fun, I shot a mother right in front of her son.

Some have taken notice of the war, and others try to act like they didn’t see anything. Some just want to be normal, and are drug into the war; be it the hunter or the prey. But, in the end it comes down to one thing, one truth that people want to believe isn’t true. The creatures in our dreams and nightmares exist.

Vampires wage war against the lycans, angel’s battle to protect us from demons. Lycans battle vampires, and demons fight to take over the world. Some want nothing to do with the war, and others take no part of it. Some however, have no choice.

So many soldiers on the other side, I take their lives so they can't take mine.

Nobody tells me all the reasons we're here. I have my weapons so there's nothing to fear.

Hybrids, half breeds, ‘abominations.’ These are the strongest of all, having the strengths of two or more races, with hardly any weakness; if one at all. Hybrids are rare, and hunted constantly. They live running, and few ever make it that long. Why? Because above all else they are feared, they and they alone have the power to change the battles, to end the wars. For which side they fight for, that is unknown.

What will the outcome of the war be? No one knows, the battle as been raging for centuries, with no clear winner in sight. Nothing is certain anymore, nothing is clear besides for battle. That is the only thing that this world knows. Peace is only a hope.
