In the near future, the town of Shijuku, Japan is threatened by a supernatural force. The world of the humans and the world of the demons have collided and merged, allowing people and demon alike to walk the same street, with the latter concealed to the naked eye.

As several unnatural murders take place, a new branch of the police is formed, one focusing on dealing with supernatural matters. Unbeknownst to the common folk however, is that a large scale war between good and evil is taking place in this very town.

A young woman Yurine, and her swordsmaster servant Karas has long uphelp the balance between demon and human, protecting the innocent and keeping the demons from interrupting the lives of humans. This has caused the humans to become desentisized to the existance of demons, and continually jest at the fact of their existance.

Becoming so disgusted with the arrogance that the humans had formed, Ekou turned his back on the old teachings and laws he once kept and swore to eradicate all humanity. Keeping his powers as a Karas, he created the Mikura, an army of mechanized demons ready to attack the human population at any time.

Enter Otoha: A young man seemingly gifted with the hands of a doctor. He cannot remember anything from his past, and wakes up one day in the alternate dimension created by Yurine. He has been chosen to be the next Karas, to uphold the balance between the demon and human world that Ekou threatens to disrupt.


This is an Anime/OVA, with highly advanced animation and great storyline. It's a bit gruesome at some points however, so I would only reccomend it to mature audiences. Either way, it's an incredible anime. Post your thoughts here.
