Title: Gender Confused?

Ok...Im in the middle of Playing Star Force (which I just found :D), and the character Patrick Sprigs, is confusing me, looks like a girl..but keeps getting refured to as a boy. So what is Pat? I hope some one will know.

Generally when characters are referred to as boys, they are. Even ones that look like girls.

Serenade is so powerful that it doesn't need a gender. Why do netnavis have genders anyways, seeing as they don't get funky with the other ones? Is it just for cosmetic reasons?
