You guys should get a Cbox. I think it would be cool, because then, instead of having a discussion on a thread and having to wait a long time for someone to post, you can talk automatically, which would be a lot easier, plus, it's free.

If you want to talk to someone instantly, get AIM/YIM/MSN. ¯\(º_o)/¯

There's different variations, some that allow for entry of a different name as one pleases, but there are mostly those that post in the shout-box using your actual login/forum name, so there's no impersonation issues.

And, yes, I am pro-shout-box. AND, yes, I do call it a shout-box instead of chat-box.

That's the style we had on Sonikku before it got taken over and turned into a failure fugly forum.

But just how many people would actually USE it on a daily basis? EXE has always had the problem of bringing out things people want, but then they never get used.

If you look at all of the posts in ShimSham, I'd say it'd be used pretty constantly on a daily basis. If we get one at the top of the page, people'll always see it, and most of the time they'll pop in and say hi or something of the sort. On the other hand, hardcore spammers will be sitting there at the top of the page spamming(pun not intended) the refresh button.

And, if you didn't know CB, I was a Sonikku vet until a few months ago, that's where I got that shout-box idea from. I should be on there under Saito.

I still think you should get one, but the part about impersonation really is a big factor, now that I think about it. Last time I was at my cousin's house, somebody had managed to make an almost exact copy of his YouTube account. They didn't like him very much, so they started putting up all these offensive posts and almost got him banned.
