On the distant planet of Endless Illusion, a world where thugs and vandals thrive on the everlasting fantasy. The world is one of turmoil, and of peace all at once. Common people strive for survival in the poorer towns, while in the nicer cities; an average life is led.

Machines known as "Armors" are introduced, humanoid mechs with the capability to either destroy or save. These Armors are rare in themselves, quite costly to manufacture. However, once an Armor is obtained, it is yours forevermore. The console and mech are both custom designed to meet your own specifications.

A man shrouded in mystery, Van roams the land searching for the man with a clawed hand. Donning a black hat and a black swallowtailed suit, he seems like a comedic, lax, figure; always hungry and always indifferent. His apathetic nature gives him sort of a slow image.

However, not is all as it seems with this man. He possesses a rare and valuable item, a piece of memory cloth attached to a handle, a material that is able to transform into nearly any form via electric currents. He is also quite athletic, and appears to be a master of martial arts despite his tall, lanky appearance.

Not only that, he pilots an Armor just as mysterious and powerful as he is, the Dann of Thursday. Just who exactly is the man with the claw, and why is Van searching for him?

You'll just have to watch Gun x Sword to find out.


This quite the interesting anime. Its got some badass mechs, themes reminiscent of GaoGaiGar and Dancouga. The animation is nice, though not the greatest I've seen. The characters are quirky and interesting, and the design reminds me personally of some Cowboy Bebop characters. The BGM/Soundtrack is nice, and it fits the scenes well.

So all in all, go watch Gun x Sword. I think if you like robot anime, hell just action in general since the Armors aren't the only method of attack, you'll enjoy Gun x Sword.

I'll have to go back and see if it's fixed later(site's episode stopped in the middle), but somehow this reminds me of gundam but with less drama and more interest. But I wonder how long that will last. If past trends are any hint, it won't. But for once I'm praying it stays interesting.

I was watching a JAMProject MAD earlier today, and I saw a mech that resembled GaoGaiGar pretty closely and ended its transformation similarly to Final Fusion. I didn't look it up, but when I looked at the mechs for Gun x Sword when you mentioned the style, I saw El Dorado. Though, that's the only similarity I've seen. It's also pretty interesting that it's four older people piloting it.

The show is basically Cowboy Bebop for mecha fans. I only watched till episode 15 or 16; I might pick it up later again, though. I didn't really like Wendy that much, and Van annoyed me at times too. All the supporting cast was interesting, though.

Watching it right now. Its awesome.

... GARLOCKED: ELDORA SOUL.

First of all, its GaoGaiGar with a Falcon instead of a Lion.

Second of all, its final attack looks just like Heaven and Hell.

Third, it can enter a state known as Eldora Soul where it gains a golden aura and the whole body becomes gold. Goldion Crusher anyone?

Finally, THE PILOTS JUST SCREAMED, "ORE WO DARE DA TO OMOTTEYAGARU?!" to Ray, one of the supporting cast.

FUCK YEAH.
