Title: Cloverfield

Vincent - December 24, 2007 08:28 PM (GMT)
Well now. I think its about time we start discussing the Movie "Cloverfield" This movie is going to be the most seen movie of 2008 for alot of reasons, personally I wonder what the monster is going to be.

Do not say Godzilla becuase it is not.

Movie would not be called cloverfield.

I personally think the statue of liberty has more then one meaning..mabey the base held the creature <o

Shall I spoil it for you?

Shall I really?

For I know exactly what you seek to know.

Simply ask me and I will tell.

leave little girl and go out on a whale. drip drip I'm drowning.

...

Anyhow, it seems the film industry is starting to put out stuff I'm in to(i.e I am Legend, Cloverfield), and I like that.

These kinds of stories where the "monster" is kept hidden are kind of iffy to me. I'll be pissed if Cloverfield ends up pulling a Blair Witch.

:XD:

Really.

Many people have theories that it is....

Get out. Now.

They even kept the monster's identity hidden from the actors, I hear. It was to avoid information leaks into the public. So, I guess no one does really know what the monster is.

Insaniholic - December 25, 2007 01:14 AM (GMT)
I think the monster will have tentacles. Hehe. Tentacles.

Why not? Many people say it is, or it has to do something related to that. Maybe it's the reason Buckethead hasn't been touring. After, he did make a theme song for the first movie of what I said it may be.

SIMON GARLOCK - December 25, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
-_- ...I've heard rumors of Voltron, but not that. Still...Voltron? Come on. I imagine they're referring to it being a gigantic robot, which is probably what your thinking, Orochi.

Orochi Iori - December 25, 2007 06:00 AM (GMT)
Robot, huh? ROBOT?
Don't bash it yet.

See, here's a pic/scene from the movie. I didn't circle the image in between the woman, I just found it like that, so it can point it out, but I'm sure this is from the movie.

Ivan Ooze?
See the image in between? It looks like the previous picture I showed you.
And that robot belongs to....
This dude. Ivan. Remember him? Of course you do, back in the old days.

Now, this may just be a theory, as ridiculous as it may be. I seriously do hope it is PR 'cause it seems like it's going to be like the old PR, only with Transformer-like graphics and stronger action.

Mr. Alaster - December 26, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
Tis a humanoid sea monster enraged by a japanese drink companies deep sea harvesting expeditions. Unbeknownst to the japs(or from the official report they actually knew) the things they were harvesting were creature babies, thus why the creature is pissed. If you watch any trailer there will be a scene where someone is behind the screen, if you stop and play repeatedly at that point you'll notice the girls expanding, creature babies pop out of her. Freaky stuff, the only "real" glimpse of the creature comes at the end, where it chases the only living main characters(two died from creature babies, two died from car accidents) into central park where they finally see it and.....Movie ends.

Grimm - December 28, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
I think the monster's probably just Matt Damon...

Alright, keep your thick glasses on, I'm backing down from my theory. I'm starting to lean toward it being some weird monster like AVP.

Grimm - December 30, 2007 08:39 PM (GMT)
Well, seing as the statue itself is from France, it must be from somewhere that hates the French.

Mr. Alaster - December 30, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
Wait, didn't I just explain what it is?

Grimm - December 30, 2007 09:26 PM (GMT)
I thought you were lying to get us excited. Filthy cheatin' commie...

Yes you did. It's just that people ignored you for the fact that everyone explained that the information on the monster is unknown, nobody took you seriously.

Like I tried to say before, I'm leaning more on what you said.

Well, now that you told us what it's called, we really won't have to do any work finding it, seeing as there's about five million search engines...

Vincent - January 3, 2008 01:03 AM (GMT)
Alaster lies D:

Grimm - January 3, 2008 01:25 PM (GMT)
told ya he was a filthy, lyin' commie...

Vincent - January 3, 2008 06:19 PM (GMT)
Anyway..ill be going to see it

Grimm - January 3, 2008 08:55 PM (GMT)
Well, compared to me Tiny Tim sits in the lap of luxury, so I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD.

Rayo Mizukashi - January 20, 2008 06:35 AM (GMT)
Screw DVD, man! You can't afford a measly 5 bucks? Plus 5 bucks for popcorn, plus 2 bucks for a drink, plus 3 bucks for a hot dog, plus 75 cents for a refill, plus another 5 bucks for your date, plus transportation... *scratches head* Damn, that is a lot.

Oh, and I'm also leaning on Alaster's idea of a sea monster... Earlier today, I discovered a link to a Japanese site leading to a manga extension to Cloverfield. Sadly, Firefox hath deleted my link. Just look for it.

Grimm - January 21, 2008 03:06 PM (GMT)
It makes a lot of sense for someone like me to just buy the DVD. I usually have to go with my parents and my brothers, since I can't drive yet, and that alone is twnety five dollars. That is, if they charge the same amount as you said above. I just went to see AVP-R with my friend and the tickets there were seven dollars apiece. What do you think is more logical, $35 to see a movie once on the silver screen or as many times as you want with free popcorn and pop?

Mr. Alaster - January 25, 2008 10:02 PM (GMT)
Ahem.

Unit B - January 26, 2008 06:11 AM (GMT)
Saw it today (for free too =D)... Meh, it was okay, nothing spectacular in my opinion.

ROCK LABEL: L - January 27, 2008 02:08 AM (GMT)
I heard the ending KILLED the movie. This makes me want to see even more.

Chibi Goku - January 27, 2008 10:00 PM (GMT)
Watched James' review of it and it didn't seem to live up to the hype(which as he said in his Rambo review, hype is a bad thing). So I won't be downloading this one anytime soon.

Taiki Kebin - January 27, 2008 10:50 PM (GMT)
OMFG ITS CG- all i came here to say and i don't care to see this movie...

Mr. Alaster - January 28, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
IZ CHIBI!!!!!, Anyway, AHEM........god do I have to spell it out to you people!?! Was I right or what?!?!, cause wikipedia and the cloverfield wiki tell me I am, at least partially.

Grimm - January 28, 2008 03:41 PM (GMT)
I know what the monster is: it's a big hunched over monster-type thingy that kills people with its monster thingy powers!
Actually, my friend saw it and that's what he told me.

ROCK LABEL: L - February 10, 2008 05:40 AM (GMT)
IT ENDS HORRIBLY.

Just saw it.

Merciful Kira - February 17, 2008 06:18 PM (GMT)
The movie owned.

Bad guy wins for once.
