Title: ElecNinja v/s Axel
ElecNinja - January 2, 2008 09:41 PM (GMT)
Akirai stood still as he petted a small version of Huo, the Fire Dragon, created by sending a small amount of energy into the red orb on his back, which made a dragon the size of a household pet.
Akirai then started walking around the flat area, not seeing a whole bunch of scenery as he calmly walked pass the boring landscape. But soon, he was truly too bored to even take one more step, so he sat down and closed his eyes, while absorbing Huo back into the red orb. Now he was waiting, waiting for quite a while for something that was supposed to happen.

"This one... is so... heavy..." the eye-patched navi grunted under the weight of the large pole, the broad end cloaked by a draping beige canvas.
"Just a little more, Mu," came the voice of a cheery young boy. "Remember, don't let the canvas fall off, or people will see it."
"Why do you need to be so secretive..." Musashi's voice trailed off, failing to make the statement into a question. "It's just... a big sword..."
"No, it's not. My new weapon needed to be tested. And remember, like I told you, it's not 'just a big sword'. It can--"
"I know, I know, you... told me, Rayl... ugh..."
Rayl sighed impatiently, followed the tapping of multiple fingers. "Well, look over there. There's a guy we can fight."
"We can't... fight everyone... why do we need... to test it on... a live opponent..."
"Enough ellipses," Rayl objected. "Hey! Navi with the orbs! Can we talk to you for a moment?"

Akirai rose slowly and turned around to the sound of someone calling him to 'talk' whether that was actual talking or fighting didn't really affect his actions. He then walked over to the odd pair of a young boy and a sort of pirate navi.
"My name's Akirai and what do you want?" he asked softly with a polite tone. Eh, I guess something did happen. But, there's something odd about this pair. The two of them are strange enough, but to also hide something under a canvas. That's a bit mysterious. Akirai thought as he looked over the two to see what they were like and predict what strengths and weaknesses they had to use if he were to get into a fight, though he probably didn't get much information; it was too early to know much.

Musashi bowed slightly at the waist, a wisp of thick black hair flapping down over his eye-patch. "Nice to meet you. My name is --"
"Whatever, enough formalities." Rayl clasped a CD on his desk, twirling it absentmindedly on his forefinger. "Sorry dude, but I the thing under the canvas is a weapon I just created and wanted to test out. So, I thought it would be nice to have a live opponent. Would you care to serve that purpose?"
"Tch," Musashi spat. "Please excuse my NetOp's rather rude behavior. He's rather young, and... we'll just be moving along, sir... unless, of course, you're willing to, um, test it out, of course. If we're... this is so heavy... not being a bother."

"Eh, go ahead. Use me as a test for your 'weapon.' Even attack me while my back is turned!" Akirai said confidently as he spread his arms wide as he spun and walked a few feet away from the two, which made hims vulnerable to practically any attack that came against him at that moment.
He stood still like that, waiting for a response from the navi and his strange master. Interesting. Since he's testing himself, then I will test myself. he thought.

"Freaking stupid navis," Rayl sighed spitefully. "Did you really need to be so dramatic? What, is being apathetic all the rage nowadays?"
"You're thirteen years old, Rayl," Musashi snapped. "You've barely touched the surface. Keep your mouth shut and be polite. Don't let your guard down."
"I'm not going to let my guard down, because underestimating people isn't really a smart thing to do now, is it? What do you think I am, stupid?"
"Sometimes, yes," Musashi growled. He brandished the cloaked weapon's hilt in both hands, lowering it to waist level with a grunt. The canvas stroked the ground. "Here I come. Are you ready?"
ElecNinja - January 5, 2008 08:39 PM (GMT)
Akirai sighed as he stood there. That navi didn't take this opportunity to strike at him, even though he practically said that he was ready. So he took initiative. He jumped high into the sky while performing a back flip that should propel him behind the navi for a certain strike at his back. While in midair, he materialized a katana and held the sheath with his left hand while holding the handle in his right hand with the katana still unsheathed. "Yes, I am." he shouted as he flew through the air, an early warning so that his attack wasn't completely a surprise.
When he landed, he performed a quick horizontal slash towards the mid-section of the navi, sheathed his sword, and rolled to the right, hopefully quick enough to dodge any retaliation from the navi.

"I even take the time to ask you a reassurance question, and you take advantage of me," Musashi muttered. "Some people are so rude."
He could see the tension in the opponent's foot before the cat-like male sprung into the air. In a blink Musashi wrapped a clenched handful of canvas around his right wrist as Akirai began his pounce. With a single wrench, Musashi tore the light cloth from the massive weapon and slung it over his shoulder like a cape.
The weapon was simplistic in appearance: a thick, double-edged blade with a long and shining handle. The ash gray was nothing to look at -- it looked like any other weapon. Nevertheless, Musashi was suddenly able to brandish it quickly, as if the weight had been reduced to that of a feather, and with a swipe of the blade knocked away Akirai's attack. He rushed in for a horizontal swipe at the quick navi.

"Technically, I gave you the opportunity to attack me. And you didn't take it. And that in itself can be rude." Akirai said cheerfully, responding to the nondescript mumbles he heard, as he got out of his roll and stood facing his opponent, who was now rushing towards him with his sword at his side, hanging out from his hands.
He then bent low on the ground until his face seemed to be just one or two feet off the floor, using his right hand to support himself while his legs were positioned that allowed Akirai to jump off quickly and powerfully. And he waited until his opponent got closer and into a more favorable range for his attack.
Once he got close enough, Akirai pushed off from the ground with a great amount of force that propelled him forward into his enemy with a good amount of speed. While in his jump, he moved his right hand on the handle with the thumb facing away from the sheath. He predicted that his opponent will attack him while he was dashing, and he wanted to see if he could change his course before he was hit and attack from a different angle. Or he would get hit pretty badly. Oh well, all for the test of his own skills.
