To make this simple, I want to know if you, the members, are still interested in an EXEW RPG. We all know that 2.0 is barely getting any use. We tried to make a compelling battle system, but evidently we failed. Should we keep our battle system or scrap the whole thing? Should EXEW still have an RPG? Is there anything else that you would like to see on the site? Please let us know your thoughts.

I'd also like to add that I work hard trying to tweak this system into balance.

There really isn't a need for completely remove the RPG, however 2.0 may be a complex system, I don't really think it's your stats, I think it's mainly what you're offering to do regarding the RPG.

I say keep the RPG however make additions and extra things to do aside from PvP Matches and Missions. Where's the goal in that? Apparently there is none, and thus you don't have the activity that you're expecting. What can you add? I'd honestly have to say get creative, however examples would be Abilities such as Beast Out, or whatever, even something new and creative. Make requirements to gain these, it adds for goals and things for the Player to do. Add newer areas, adds Bosses, you can keep Missions, but make the world in which you explore freelance with Bosses, and perhaps large Missions which are In-Game Storylines of some sort. Make Events, other things to do aside from what you offer.

That's my viewpoint... *goes back to lurking*

THe truth is we lost so many members because of
A. The huge move from proboards to Invision.
B. 2.0 battle system takes to long to learn and once you do no one has modivation for it.
The truth is it was a great idea I like the new board but its far from alive. -.-

I mean proboards even though it had those annoying whip outs of old topics and such it still had some great stuff and some members with it too.

I like the missions and rpg and such.

I know I know it will never happen but most members will agree they liked it better in 1.5 the battles were easier and less hassle and people who are lazy and dont want to learn a huge new battle system (Such as non board rpgers)

Thats why the board is so dead. I mean 2.0 was a great idea and a wonderful improvement and it had alot of potentional. It just kinda fell flat.
And I know you but all that hard work into it admins but it just didnt work that well with the members.

I don't know how to stress this enough, but all of you said "ok" to moving the damn board. And pretty much everyone came, so that's not a valid reason.

And for the LAST time, we're NOT bringing back 1.5, end of story. It was a broken system, and pretty much everyone could cheat their way to victory.

Right now we're planning new ideas for a new system, that hopefully will be easier to understand and spark interest.

I vote that we should keep the current battle system. Why? I like it, it's that simple. The only reason I wanted to become a Game Moderator was because I liked 2.0. Sure, It's a little complex, but I think that’s better than having something simple and really easy to learn that has a lot of loop holes that everyone will exploit. Everyone keeps saying that we should bring back 1.5, and I know I haven't been around long enough to know what it was like, but from just reading what people have said about it I've heard the following...

1.)It was easy to learn
2.)It had a lot of loop holes and flaws

Like I said, I haven't been around long enough to know if this is all true, but this is just what I've picked up. I know 2.0 has it's flaws, but like KKL said...

They're working on it, and so far I like the way it has turned out.

To the first question, Yes. To the second question, Yes. Events would be a nice addition. If that's going to be a problem for the admins to run, then let some of the Game Moderators help run them.

I think an RP might work, but we really need something to attract and keep new members.

1.5 wasn't so much unbalanced and broken and loopy as it was...so very malleable. You could basically pull off most any effect if you gave enough HP and it drove Zero INSANE approving everything.

how about when the battle starts and ends a sexy pic of KKL appears so he can feel good about himself?

DX;... honestly i really don't know about 2.0 because i never did it... its just that i didn't feel like reading it a few times to get what they mean i almost did but then you changed the format then you lost me... (laziness actually) i like the RPG though its just that i don't interact with it...

As the once biggest supporter of bring 1.5 back I'm going to say this only one time.

Even if it came back, it WOULDN'T bring the forum back to the life it once had or anyway near close. While I'd love to see it return, it won't happen so just follow the suit as I have and give it up.

On other notes, perhaps its' time to think about shutting EXE down. The Most everyone has moved onto starforce or other things. The RP battles board doesn't see that much action, the free RP has been taken over by out of style RPs for years and the ages basically seem dead. Top it off no one any longer really seems interested in the system due to reasons already stated. It might be painful to let it go after all these years but perhaps it's for the best.

Well, what if we turned this into a Star Force Forum, and start a Star Force RP? We'd keep the 2.0 Battle system, but everything else is Star Force?

I miss the old days of the exe when it was young and thriving and there was free rps and comics every where. And admins where alive and all members posted millions of times. And there were more members to count.
But espeically the comics and the thriving sprites.

That's why we're asking you guys what you think we should do. And, uh. We're still alive, but we're doing the best we can to do things outside of school. We're pretty damn active for that. >_>

While I slightly agree with Chibi, a Starforce idea would be new. Last I heard it's not doing so well in Japan, however we all know a second one is being made and that might conjure up some attention. I've heard that a Rockman DASH RPG has been in the wanting for quite some time, but I'm pretty much guessing you guys are trying to stick with the "EXE" idea of it.

If you were to remake EXEWs as a Starforce Forum, you'd have to put a lot of a thought into composing the forum and taking the anime into play. Like perhaps not give everyone FM Aliens right away, seeing as how originally there weren't that many, etc, etc.

i like EXE and EXEW and i like RnR just as much EXE but EXE is what i've known and grew up with, i've played some of the classics (we own them) and i grew up with those then got seperated till EXE so i'm for keeping this EXE because thats what it was made for...

Well, only a select few would be part of the official RP. Everything else would be restricted to the Free RP and Battle forums.

Also, I've been toying with an idea as to how the general population could do an EM Wave Change, but I want to discuss it more with the admins and see what they think.

Well, so far the thinking is that the RP's storyline is a completely different canon from the real thing. Either more FM-ians coming to Earth to cause trouble, or else them not even being called AM-ians or FM-ians anymore. Again, I'm waiting to discuss my ideas with the admins.

Thats why we need to USE the RP planning/signup board. So people can figure out if anyone wants to join, and cut down on main board spam...

THeres a reason why RP's never get finishjed. They go in a stupid direction, someone quits, someone has their period, someone gets fed up with someone else's rp style.

I dunno. If we had a main RP that wasn't so strict on people joining in, or one where people got kicked for not posting or for trying to add their own plot arc.

The problems with having a main RP like that are a) too many people can be hard to deal with, and b) if someone doesn't post and gets kicked, it's weird if a main character just kind of...poofs.

Hopefully, if I'm intelligent enough to actually pull this through to the end, the Ages'll be open to everyone and we'll also be able to have story events WITHOUT the Ages AND including everybody.

That'd be pretty good, but separated rp's would be best, so we don't (Technically) get it lagged up.

If my humble opinion counts, I would love to see a megaman RPG continuing on this forum.

1) because I love RP's and i can never get enough of them.

2)I need somthing to do when I have nothing else to do, please continue it.

3)Also, I think that RPing is a great way to get to know people, and if you take a look at the world right now, i think almost all of us would say it needs more friendship (it may sound sentimental but it's true).

*looks like I chose a crummy time...* Recently, I had actually been planning on coming back to this site, being more active. Than i read all this stuff, and I get a little sad. However, playing Star Force, and liking it fairly well, I would think a transition would be okay, though I fear that might not work for mainly one reason, which someone might've already stated. It's not as user friendly, in my opinion. In EXE, not only was it probably the most realistic*at least until the net started crossing over into the real world, darkness in the soul, and a snoopy esque rush*, one could easily make a character to fit in. Whether that actually happened though, is up to the creator. However, as you all know, in Star Force, people turn into these EM Wave lifeforms, or something like that, with the help of Aliens. Well, I guess you could always just come up with more aliens, but you can't exactly have everyone running around with aliens. That, and most of these are malicious. however, this is probably redundant, but regardless, seeing as I was planning on resuming my activity, I will make sure to help out in any way i can for Star Force...

if it is RnR i would help... i know too much about it... and Everett if you remember in the end *spoiler* They rebuild planet AM *end so as i've probably said before there could be a large amounts of AM life forms running around earth and such and also the FM lifeforms are now good so we could be combating Mu...

I'm a bit too lazy to read through all of that, but I did read part of it. Instead of bringing back the old and broken 1.5 system, and trying to fix the new system, you could always turn the form into a full RPG site, as in no battle system or stats, anything like that. It becomes much easier on the admins, and it's much easier to create a chary/navi.

The site should run a lot smoother, and it eliminates the boring process of having to wait for a judge, and things like that.

Battle system is good,but I kind of want the P.A rule about level 50 or higher rule gone.

The first tournament was decided by GigaCannon every round. We needed to nerf that a bit.

We implemented that rule for a reason. Level 50 was what we deemed to be the cutoff for when PAs might stop one-shotting people.
