"..." Suki looked dead when she got her final exam back. "A-a-a... An E?! I wont pass this year... I don't think..."
She teared up a bit before she actually took some time to think.
"Well... I passed 2 out of 3, D+'s on both semesters, right?" She looked to Kirlia. "Right?"
Kirlia thought for a minute before nodding quickly.
"Yay!" Suki's face lit up as she hugged her pokemon.

Saito, too, got his final exam and smiled as he looked at the results. "Wow..." he said with widened eyes. "I can't believe I got an A again..."

Even his own Combusken couldn't believe it, as his eyes also widened when he saw Saito's grade.

Suki stopped crushing her Kirlia after a minute. "Mmmmm...." She looked around. "Now what?" She stood up slowly, hoping for something to jump out at her. She really didn't have any friends yet at the academy, all of her friends had graduated last year, she had older friends.

Saito noticed one of the many students stand up. Her pokemon was a Kirlia. He motioned his Combusken to call her for him. His pokemon then semi-reluctantly did as he was told.

Walking up to the girl, he waved at her a bit and pointed at Saito, who was also waving his hand and smiling.

Repeatedly slamming his head against his desk, severely shaking up the Shinx on his head, Jace tried to forget about his near-fail grades.

"...?" Suki looked confused, confronted by a pokemon. "Hello..." She looked to where he was pointing. "Uhm... Okay..." She walked slowly to the waving boy, and rested he hands on the arm's of his seat.
"Hello~"

Saito stopped waving when the girl was beside him. He scanned her body and made a mischievous grin. "Hi there, Suki. Nice to meet you."

Looking to the right of himself, Jace noticed two human and PokeMon interacting. "Allo, good people! You pass?" he decided to say, but to the people on his left.

"How do you... Know my name...?" Suki suddenly looked confused. 'Has he been watching me all year or something?'
She didnt lift her hands from the arm of his chair though.

Her Kirlia slowly crept up form behind, coming in behind Combusken.

Saito pointed at her hand where she was still holding the paper with her grades on it. "I can see that, you know. So, you got an E, eh? Did you pass by getting D's or something?"

"CHOO!"

Looking up, Jace said to his Shinx, "Bless you." Then, looking to his right, he saw the two deep in...silence.

Suki blushed, embarrassed. 'I should have put it down...'
"Yeah... I did..." Suki smiled slightly. "I'm really not that smart... At all..."

"Hey, Shinx, she got better grades than me!" Jace said despairingly.

"No sweat," Saito replied. "You don't need brains to be a good trainer! All you need are the basic knowledge, the fighting spirit, and the love for pokemon! Who cares about studying in this academy? I don't even know I keep getting A's!"

He then looked at the guy whose pokemon had just sneezed. The guy was seated at his left. "Good morning to you, too." A random reply suddenly came out of his mouth.

Suki giggled at Saito's reply to the sneeze.
(Fine, rain on my parade, I'll edit.)
"You get A's? How...? I... I don't get any of this stuff..."

"A? A...s? You must be some sorta genius to be able to put facts on paper like that!" Jace said, noting a previous comment. Looking at the girl, he said, "Grades mean nothing! Just how well you are at writing on paper! The real grades should be done in action! You know, like battles and contests, where trainers have to face their wits in a split second decision! ya know?"

"Genius?" Saito said. He looked at the ceiling as he took his pen with his right hand and toyed with it. "My teachers say I'm a genius, but my mom says I just have some sort of godly luck...I don't know, really, and I don't even care."

"You're lucky then..." Suki said, sliding her feet back so she could rest most of her weight on the arm of the chair. She unconsciously pressed her arms as close as possible, crushing her chest in the process, although she took no notice.
She let her head face the ground comfortably, her hair falling over her face. "Now that finals are over... What are we supposed to do?"

Saito looked at Suki directly in the eyes with a serious look on his face for a few seconds before making a friendly grin and saying, "Beats me. Ask the other guy."

Suki lifted her head up, brushing the hair out of her face. "Ohh, you're no help!" She giggled, looking around. She squatted, legs together, with her chest just above the arm of the chair, looking at Saito. "I never got your name."

Saito's grin widened, and his teeth showed, along with his eyes closing. "The name's Saito."

"Okay... And since you already know mine, I guess we're all acquainted, since that guy seems to have left." She rested her head on the arm of the chair, closing her eyes.

"Yeah, I guess," Saito said before removing his grin. He looked at his Combusken. It looks like his pokemon's talking with Suki's Kirlia, Too bad he doesn't know what they're, uh, discussing about.

Saito is bored. And when he is bored, he tends to ask random questions. Looking at the sky with a serious face as he felt the cool breeze from the window (He's sitting by the window), he asked Suki, "Hey...ever wondered why chocolates are brown?"

Suki giggled. "What? No, not really..." She stood up and sat on the back of the seat in front of Saito, facing him. Luckily no-one was sitting in that seat. She crossed her legs. "I don't like thinking about things like that, don't really understand them."

"Heh," Saito smiled a bit as he slightly bowed his head. "I guess I can understand that." He suddenly had a serious look on his face as he looked outside. "Hey...I was just wondering...how did you meet your pokemon?"

"Uhm... I got her when we came here, you know, when we chose our pokemon from the first whatever they gave us? I chose Ralts, simply because I want a Gardevoir." She looked like she was imagining something, and she suddenly started hugging her upper arms, like she was hugging something.
"S-sorry..." She shook her head. "They're just... Really pretty pokemon, and... I've always wanted one."

"I see," Saito sad with a calm look on his face. "As for me, I was browsing the many pokemon that I could choose from, then I saw a particular torchic..."

Flashback
I was looking at all the pokemon one by one. "Wow...so many to choose from..." I stopped in my tracks when I passed by a torchic. Facing him, we looked at each other in the eye...

...and that was when he attacked me with ember.

Dodging the minor fire attack, I shouted, "I want this one!" while pointing at him.

"And that's how I got my torchic, who's now a combusken."

"Heh, why would you choose the one that attacked you? I'd keep away from it..." Suki looked confused.

Saito turned to look at Suki, his eyes blazing with fireballs and claws appearing on his hand (anime effect etc...) as he made a sinister laugh. "Because he looked fierce! Something that suits my blazing passion for battling!"

Suki looked suprised, and yelped as she fell backwards, legs sricking up in the air. She pulled her skirt between her legs, attempting to roll over and stand up, only rolling back and falling on her rump. "Ouch..." She brushed off her underwear, quickly lowering her skirt again. "Don't... Do that..."

Saito laughed as he reverted back to normal. "Haha...sorry about that. I just felt like doing it." He then offered his hand to Suki. "Let me help you up."

Suki grabbed his hand and pulled herself up, hoping not to pull him onto her, that would only add to the awkwardness of this situation. "Thanks..."

Saito wanted to cause a commotion by making Suki pull him into her, but he was too lazy to put it into practice. When Suki was successfully pulled up, Saito removed his hand from hers and looked away, facing the window again, with a bored expression in his face. He didn't even say "You're welcome" or something along those lines.

"Saito... Are you okay?" Suki put her hands on his shoulders. "Is something wrong?"

Combusken immediately ran out of the room in a hurry. After Combusken had left, Saito's stomach could be heard making those weird noises. "I'm not in the best of moods now..."

"Is there anything I can do? Need a hug?" Suki hugged Saito without waiting for an answer. "That make it better?" She giggled, letting go and sitting across from him once again.

Saito smiled a bit. "Thanks for the concern..." His stomach suddenly grumbled again. "Where are you, my beloved Pokemon?"

Soon enough, Combusken arrived, bringing with him a bag of snacks: it had chips, biscuits, and other stuff on it. Saito immediately grabbed the bag and took some chips. After getting a decent amount into his stomach, he offered it to Suki. "Want some?"

"Sure... And what about the pokemon, did they get food as well?" Suki couldn't find Kirlia or Combusken, so she couldn't be sure. Suki took some food for herself and ate it suprisingly quickly.

"Sure they are," Saito replied as he pointed at Combusken who was eating some nuts. "Weird stuff, but at least he likes it."

"Oh! Oops, didn't look there..." Suki looked for Kirlia, who was next to Combusken, and had somehow produced an apple. Suki smiled, resting her elbows on her knees and sighing.
