Title: Wall-E
Rose - June 23, 2008 04:13 PM (GMT)
So who's planning on seeing Wall-E? I highly recommend it. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it, due to the 'kiddy' marketing campaign, but it turned out to not be the movie advertized. Don't get me wrong, the characters portrayed in the trailers are the same, funny quirks and all, but it's a more serious, meaningful film. Still amusing, yes, but not 'kiddy' like the latest campaign implies.

Going to see it this Friday. Looks pretty good.
Insaniholic - June 23, 2008 05:54 PM (GMT)
Probably. Anything with robots. Except for Robots. That movie was "bleh".
Tennet - June 23, 2008 11:24 PM (GMT)

I might go see it. Robot with bra fetish? Hmm...
Grimm - June 24, 2008 03:40 AM (GMT)
Looks okay. Maybe with someone, but not by myself, but that ones probably obvious.

I'll go see it with someone.... Or by myself. By what Rose said, it seems like a kickass movie.
Insaniholic - June 27, 2008 10:30 PM (GMT)
Saw it today. Awesomeness.
Death the Kid - June 30, 2008 01:16 AM (GMT)
Saw it. Very good. And very disturbing. The autopilot for the megaship looked like AND acted like a turret from Portal. I was the one in the theater running around screaming "GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!"
Feez - June 30, 2008 02:55 AM (GMT)
/m/'s been talking about Wall-E randomly over the past few days, haven't seen it myself, but I probably will soon enough.
Saint PhantomZero - June 30, 2008 08:34 PM (GMT)

Fat people in future: Possible, but not likely.
Scientists estimate:
People in the future will have small, scrawny legs, large heads for bigger brain capacity, and long fingers to work our computers.
Great movie, though. Little shorty before the movie was funny as hell. Magician getting hit in the balls by a ladder = G rated? Alright, let's go with that.

Uh, they were fat because they never had to do... anything. Like for instance, walk. So no shit they were fat, haha.

That wouldn't make it not a G-rated clip. No violence or inappropriateness. Cartoon characters have been getting hit in the balls for ages.
UTK - July 1, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
Disney should totally have Mickey Mouse's nuts beaten until... I won't go on.
10/10 On this movie.
Rose - July 1, 2008 02:26 AM (GMT)
The short was a half hearted attempted to rip off Chuck Jones, if anyone happens to know who I'm talking about.
As for the whole weight thing, think of the movie as a comedic commentary on our society.
Saint PhantomZero - July 1, 2008 01:03 PM (GMT)
The whole MOVIE was a funny play on our society, really. It's basically saying what WOULD happen once people start adapting to newer and newer technologies; they'd get lazy and machines would lose their lives. It makes it easier to brainwash them, hence their oblivious state (We have a pool?).
The world is full of trash and life became unsustainable. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL MAKE THE WORLD GREEN YEAHHHHHH. Environmental care is so low, and is slowly getting better.
Death the Kid - July 1, 2008 07:09 PM (GMT)
Seriously, they assume in 90 some years we'll have sentient robots that DON'T try to take over the planet?
Sounds great.
456blaa - July 3, 2008 08:48 AM (GMT)
I know. I love how the masage robot handled the securty guys and how they used noise to make the voices (plus the end credits where actualy pretty good. and the TWINKY I LOVED IT!!!) and the little cleaning guy rocked. Mo was his name?
o and I laughed at how they made some of the robots act.

Estimate is just a big word for guess. In the future, I'LL STILL BE RIPPED! GAH!

Took the time to go see it myself today, by far the greatest film to come out of Pixar in my opinion.
