Title: The Dark Knight

Mokujin - July 18, 2008 03:05 PM (GMT)
My band and I went to see the midnight premiere. It is most undoubtedly the movie of the year. They weren't kidding when they said Ledger was a great Joker, either.

I seriously want to watch it again. Everything was so well orchestrated. Reminded me just why the Joker is the greatest villain of all time.

Tennet - July 18, 2008 03:07 PM (GMT)
I might get to see it at the IMAX

Mokujin - July 18, 2008 03:09 PM (GMT)
That's pretty much the only way I could imagine the movie getting any better.

Tennet - July 18, 2008 03:10 PM (GMT)
I just need to convince my mom.

Saint PhantomZero - July 18, 2008 03:12 PM (GMT)
Will see this next week.

Mokujin, tell me this. Is it better then IronMan in b4 more people would like it because batman in general is more popular? :hmm:

Mokujin - July 18, 2008 03:27 PM (GMT)
I'd have to say that in The Dark Knight, without a doubt. Iron Man was good, but The Dark Knight was pretty phenomenal. It just has everything that a Batman movie could ever needs; suspense, action, and dark humor all in spades.

But seriously, the one thing that'll hit you better than anything else is the Joker. He was better than I'd ever thought he'd be. The stuff people said about Ledger being the best one seriously wasn't just respect for his death.

Zerorush - July 20, 2008 06:25 AM (GMT)
They might as well have titled the movie after Joker instead of Batman, every step of the way it was Joker who was captivating me and keeping me interested in the plot. Batman almost felt like a support character rather than the main protagonist.

Ledger's portrayal was phenomenal, its amazing how he managed to work in behavior traits and other small things that really made a difference. The most obvious and my favorite is that lip lick/lip smacking thing he would do in the middle of conversations.

Merciful Kira - July 20, 2008 06:19 PM (GMT)
I saw this yesterday and It was really good!

Kinda long [3 hours!] the last hour was full of scenes that youy thought was the ending of the movie O.O!

I thought two face coulda been done abit..better..
Ledger was great! So funny

Favorite part:

When he blows the hospital up and the detetnator doesnt work

EKG - July 20, 2008 08:25 PM (GMT)
ha my favorite part is the first time joker goes into the mob office

"wanna see a magic trick? i can make this pencil disappear."
*smashes dudes head into the pencil*
"woo! see? gone..."

Merciful Kira - July 20, 2008 09:53 PM (GMT)
That was pretty funny xD

Caine: Now thats more like it

xD

Joker: I killed the bus driver
Thug: What bus driver
-Bus coems through wall-
Joker: That bus driver

"WHY YOU SO SERIOUS...?"

This is incredibly better than Ironman. Heath Ledger was a very talented actor there. He didn't just play as the Joker, he WAS the Joker.

Iv been wondering who the next villins will be...

Pengiuin and catwoman have been crossed out syaing not rgiht type of mood

But the romour is the riddler is confirmed

Zerorush - July 24, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
I say that Twoface making a comeback isn't entirely out of the question, if that mob boss batman threw off the building can survive a fall like that onto solid concrete surely Twoface is capable of surviving that smaller fall he took onto soft dirt =P

Now that I think of it they never actually confirm that he died, that funeral at the end could very well have been a hoax.

Merciful Kira - July 24, 2008 09:40 PM (GMT)
Riddles akter ego was soppused to have been in the movie at some point

How the heck is Penguin not the right type of mood? His story was semi-deep.

Plus Nolan's batman tends to introduce two villains at a time, so shrug. Riddler is a cool villain, and was actually the one I thought of for the third batman movie. Harle Quinn also comes to mind but if they did her they'll probably cut off the joker connection. :/

Merciful Kira - July 25, 2008 03:39 AM (GMT)
Penguin doesnt have the right...mood for this movie..also they want someone they never used yet...but they really want riddler...

<_<'

Also two face wasnt exact;y a villian

According to the thing I read he just doesnt have a place in their movies...hes not...nolan matierlal..

ROCK LABEL: L - July 25, 2008 04:33 AM (GMT)
BRING ON THE RIDDLER.

I think Penguin would be a great villain to add on to the third batman. Like SPZ said, he has a semi-deep story behind him. He be like TwoFace, be a side-villain.

Merciful Kira - July 25, 2008 04:48 AM (GMT)
<_< I wonder who will play joker...

I hope they don't include joker in any future nolan movies. They should leave Ledger's legacy at that and not try to include a replacement for Joker.

Zerorush - July 25, 2008 05:21 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't really support Penguin in this new style of Batman films. Penguin's well known appearence and personality traits wouldn't transition well, and if they tried to change him to fit the current style of the films comic cook fans would cry foul.

Merciful Kira - July 25, 2008 05:53 AM (GMT)
Thats what nolan said...

-LAUGHS- nice job...but,.i cant ait!

Everett - July 25, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
Actually, originally, Penguin was a gentlemanly crook with a long nose, monocle and a ... a whatever you call that thing he was smoking. And his umbrellas. He's not some weird mutant thing. Though, as far as villains go, don't for get*possible spoiler alert* That Batman is now on the run. He is now considered a bad guy. That will probably play some role and is sure to affect who he fights.

This is very true. Usually in good comics or just stories in general, with every "sacrifice" comes a "revival." So the third movie may well be looking for Batman's "revival" if you know what I mean.

Merciful Kira - July 25, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
I see a cross over happening

Everett - July 25, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
Maybe, maybe not. Which, if they did do that, there aren't that many guys they can use. If they do what I'm somewhat thinking*maybe pitting him against other heroes* DC doesn't have that many non super human heroes who don't suck.

Green Arrow is okay, but still, not many. Though, I heard something involving a character named Deathstroke, AKA Slade from the Teen Titans. Given his nature, he could work. Otherwise, there aren't many villains from Batman that could work, really. Clayface, Mr. Freeze*Batman and Robin aside, Freeze could be great if the right people used him* and those guys are out of the question. Than you have all of his no name enemies. *shrugs*

He diden't laugh enough. and it was a little. well not orinjal batman like (taken form some things my dad said)

but I liked it over all. I think joker was phyotic not insane like he usaly is but the joker was still played very very well. and two face was a little... faceless.

No, the joker portrayed by Heath Ledger is correct. The Joker was ment to be a scary guy; a psychotic bastard who plays the game by getting into people's heads and making them do what he wants them to do. That's his game; dark, evil, cunning, and psychotic above all things. Jack Nicholson's comedic Joker is completely incorrect, so I get a little annoyed about that.

Merciful Kira - July 26, 2008 05:57 AM (GMT)
