Title: Teams on EXE Warriors
Description: IMPORTANT! Please read, and vote.

Saint PhantomZero - June 13, 2007 02:51 AM (GMT)
Teams:

Requirements:
1.) Have 3(later 4) members that would join you in a Team.
2.) All members must have an eligible navi
3.) Optional: Make your own Usergroup Icon for your team

Limits:

-3 Members Minimum (Later, 4)

-10 Members Max (Temporary, max will be 5 until more people begin to form teams).

Team Pools
Each team will have an EXP and Zenny Pool. It will start off from scratch however.

-Members of the team can directly donate their UNUSED EXP and/or Zenny toward the team funds.
-Members can use their own money to buy EXP from the Team EXP Pool, and use it for their navis. All Zenny used to buy EXP will be given to the Administration Pool, and will be used as a prize for tournaments.
-EXP and Zenny from the Team Pool are used to create Special Chip Combos. An example would be:

Speed Demons - 400 DMG
?? AP
Range: Any opponents
Effect: Choose any number of enemy Navis. 400 DMG is dealt to each targeted Navi divided by number of targets.
Desc: Ryu and QuickMan use power up and use their speed as an offensive tool, tearing through enemy lines with ease.

-That is just a basic idea, but customization on combo chips will be worked on if this project were accepted by you members. Support chips are also possible.

-For every ordinary Official netbattle outside of team battles, the winner of the netbattle will receive normal rewards, but the same EXP and Zenny they earn in the battle can be subtracted and donated to the Team Pool. For example: Metalman defeats Sparkman in a netbattle and earns 10 EXP and 100 Zenny. While Metalman receives these prizes, he can donate let’s say, 6 EXP to the team’s EXP Pool/Zenny fund. To prevent quick and easy abuse of the system, the team rewards will only be allowed when two people netbattle, and they are not from the same team. So Metalman and Sparkman would have had to be on opposite teams for Metalman’s team to receive the team reward. One of the netbattlers may not be on a team, and if the victor of the netbattle is on a team, he/she can still donate funds to their team.

What teams do:
Teams consist of netbattlers that compete for the top spot of the ultimate netbattlers of EXE Warriors. Teams compete in team battles against others for glory, and prizes. Each team will receive prizes for their hard work and determination.

-Teams compete in Team matches, and Tournaments. Victors of Team Matches will gain half of the loser’s EXP and Zenny Pool, but the only lose 20% of their totals. However, team leaders are also given the option to wager their stakes.

Team Challenges
Teams don’t have to wait until a tournament to battle other teams. They can simply challenge them, run it through an administrator, and then a battle judge or a Game Moderator (seeing as they have both responsibilities) will oversee the battle. An administrator will review the battle results, and distribute the according EXP and Zenny to the winning team’s pool.

Tournaments
Tournaments are self-explanatory. Teams are matched against each other bracket style through randomization, and they compete with each other until one remains victorious.

The prize will be the Zenny Pool accumulated from the Zenny spent toward Combo Chips, Support Chips, and such things. The Pool will be split accordingly between 1st place, 2nd, and 3rd by percentage.

1st place: 50%
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 20%

This way, the other two teams are also rewarded for their hard work and participation. But only the top three teams.

-2nd and 3rd place

2nd place in a bracket tournament would be the team that lost to the champion.
3rd place will be determined from the “Loser’s Tournament.” All the people that lose in the tournament except 2nd place will compete for 3rd place.

-Tournament Styles

Tournaments will be in various styles. A popular style is a board-point system. In short, on a team, members will be ranked by strength according to the team leader and be called “boards.” These boards will battle the corresponding board of the opposite team on a 1v1 battle. At the end of the entire match, or if a winner is decisive in the midst of all the battles, then the points from each board will be counted up. Here is an example. Team Terran fights Team Zerg, and each team has five members. Board 1’s from both teams will face each other, and so forth.

Board 1 will count for 10 points.
Board 2 will count for 8 points.
Board 3 will count for 6 points.
Board 4 will count for 4 points.
Board 5 will count for 2 points.

So, let’s say for example that Team Terran wins Board 1 and 2. But Team Zerg wins boards 3, 4, and 5. Although Team Zerg won more battles, Terran has more points.

18:12 points, Terran ends up with more and wins the team match. Although the example seems unfair and really landside, usually there are more members and less points per board difference. But remember that this is just an example. This style is similar to chess tournaments.

Another style of match would be Best out of (x matches) but with both 1v1s and 2v2s. For example, on a match with two teams of 10 members each, let’s say there are three paired matches and four 1v1s. (6 members each team are taking part in tag team matches, and the remaining four are doing one on one matches.) There are thus 7 matches total, and the team that wins best out of 7, wins the match. This is similar to Tennis.

-Forefits and defaults

During a match, if a member does not post for a certain amount of days in the battle without any warning to his absence, then his match will be a draw, and if it’s a board-team match, then the board points are split in half toward each team. But there are circumstances. If the operator fails to even come to the match, then the board points are split in half. But! If it is in the middle of the match and the opponent who fails to respond is winning, the points are still split in half. And if the operator who fails to respond is losing, then it is a forfeit and all the board points go toward the winning operator.

In a best of match, those who fail to come to a match will end the match in a draw. But, if the score ends up in a tie because of that draw, the team that didn’t post in time, will lose that match. For example, I will use Team Terran and Team Zerg once again. If team one of the doubles matches are in a draw because a member from Team Terran failed to post within 4 days, then both Terran and Zerg will receive one point from the draw. But, if the match ends with a score of three wins to three wins, and one draw, then Team Zerg will receive the actual point because they were “on time.”

Top spot
The winner of the tournament, is declared the top netbattling team of EXE Warriors until the next tournament and if they lose in that tournament. Otherwise, they keep the spot just until they lose. They may also lose that top spot in an ordinary team battle.

Being in the top spot earns you special prizes once every three weeks. It may be Bonus EXP and Zenny, or a special battlechip for tagteam battles. It just depends.

So, what do you think?

Harem - June 13, 2007 02:52 AM (GMT)
I want them, since we would get our own Pip, right?

KamikazeLord - June 13, 2007 02:53 AM (GMT)
You know my stance on this PZ.

Axel - June 13, 2007 02:56 AM (GMT)
So teams would only be for the RPG?

Harmtaro - June 13, 2007 02:59 AM (GMT)
Harem(Gareomello.EXE), Sentenal (Miledy.EXE), Levia (Elecman.exe) and Rock (Rock Man.exe)

Note: Rock's Navi will be posted later today and has already been approved.

Team Name is Pendenal Rockemz.

PIP: user posted image

Saint PhantomZero - June 13, 2007 02:59 AM (GMT)
Teams are for the RPG, but they will also serve as personal boards and such. If you have an idea of how to implement teams for other things, please tell. We want this to be as appealing to the board as possible.

@Sent/Harem: Yes.

Harem - June 13, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
We should have pissing contests of some sort between teams.

creaselesscadet - June 13, 2007 03:01 AM (GMT)
It sounds confusingly good.
I don't completely understand though.
Especially the Team pools section, but what I understood sounds good.

Each team will have a "Bank" of EXP and Zenny. For example, Team A has a Zenny Pool of 39810 Zenny, and an EXP Pool of 200 EXP. They can use the Zenny and EXP from the Pool/Bank to get things for their team.

Axel - June 13, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
Wait. So we could have stock chips/programs that any member of our team can use?

They will be special chips for Team Purposes only. But yes, all members may access them, EXCEPT combo chips.

Combo chips will be personalized to two specific navis, and for them alone in Tag Team matches.

I forgot something in the top post, I added it in. But I'll post it here too.

I'm to lazy to read what I haven't read, but yes, hell yes, I want them.

ElecNinja - June 13, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
Sounds interesting.
Though hopefully we won't have the Sensei team of SPZ, KKL, Zero, and some other random dude.

Yes, I know there would be a way to beat you guys, but I'm just saying.

Supported.

Ejsaxdude - June 13, 2007 04:16 AM (GMT)
I'm for the teams it sound cool.

SPZ's navi is a one man h4x team, dude. There is no 'partner' in 'Heaven's Fricking Judgement'.

@SPZ: I was thinking of teams for the Fan Art section, although we already have them; we could make it more official. In all honesty, I don't really participate/enjoy 2.0 all that much, so it's nice to have something to do for those who just like to hang out as a community.

However, I'm thinking of giving 2.0 a second try, so by all means, why not? I say try it. I'll start making the -GENDO POSE- pips.

DarkYuki - June 13, 2007 02:22 PM (GMT)
Sounds interesting enough, good background (tournaments), and a good purpose, I say sure, yes *submits answer*

I already have my team. (H)

ElecNinja - June 13, 2007 03:24 PM (GMT)
Dang.
We're doomed.

:psyduck:

I'm trying to take in newbies actually. For sure, my team consists of KKL, Enjeru, and I. Looking for potential people, not the already strong. I want other teams to be able to compete with my team, otherwise it wouldn't be fun.

ElecNinja - June 13, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
I know, I would expect that from you.
If you weren't like that, you would just use your special on the first turn for many of your battles.
For the most part, many people would just instantly die.

:slowpoke:

*loves the poke emotes*

So it's only four members total right? No more and no less.

Ejsaxdude - June 13, 2007 03:58 PM (GMT)
Well since this things already a yes are we going to make some sort of team requst thread or something or are we just going to use this thread to make teams.

Saint PhantomZero - June 13, 2007 04:05 PM (GMT)
Actually, for now the minimum requirements of a team are 3 people. The CURRENT maximum is 5. However, once a good amount of teams are flowing, I'll slowly increase the maximum.

----

I'll make the team request, form and rules formally soon enough. It might take a day or two. I do have other things to do than be on the internet.

Ejsaxdude - June 13, 2007 04:08 PM (GMT)
I understand just wondering.

Dalent - June 13, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
Do I get a team? Say, Team Lightforce?

Saint PhantomZero - June 13, 2007 05:56 PM (GMT)
Get people who would join your team, and you got it. I'll be looking forward to your team, Dalent.

Dalent - June 13, 2007 06:06 PM (GMT)
Heh, I'm pretty sure I got Shiroko behind me. Just need another. :slowpoke:

ElecNinja - June 13, 2007 06:14 PM (GMT)
I would probably join.
Once I finish my navi.
:slowpoke:

Trinity - June 13, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
I'm making a Navi as we speak so if any team wants a newb than I'm your man.

Saint PhantomZero - June 14, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
This is pretty decisive, so I've already got Team signups ready. Please actually make teams. >_>

Riki Hinos - June 15, 2007 03:55 AM (GMT)

Read the Team Registration Post.

Blades - June 18, 2007 12:12 AM (GMT)
I will remain neutral on this point as I have no interest in the system anymore. However, if I ever did get back into it, it'd be interesting to see Energyman and Swords in battle.
