Board Conduct Rules
General Rules1.
No spamming. Spamming is either a Stupid, a Pointless or an Annoying message.
Ex: "hi" "lol" "^_^" "im bored"
Do not Spam. Spamming once will get you a verbal warning. Spamming after that, depending on how severe it is, may get you either more verbal warnings, or you will be awarded a nice new warning point.
2.
No flaming. Flaming will not be tolerated. Flaming is a direct verbal attack on someone.
Ex: "Fuck you" "You suck" "go die bitch"
This will get you a warning, if you do it once, possibly multiple warning if you flame severely. Do not do this.
3.
No posting, and/or posting links to illegal ROM's, MP3's, or other illegal software. This will result in a permanent ban.
4.
No posting, and/or posting links to porn of any kind. This will result in a permanent ban.
5.
No multiple accounts. When you join, if you are a sibling of a member here, state that. Also, if you are a friend of a member here, and register on their computer, also state that. If you are caught with multiple accounts, you will be permanently banned.
6.
No harassing members via AIM, MSN, Yahoo, or any other messaging programs. This can result in warnings, or more severe punishment.
7.
No reviving topics more than 2 weeks old, unless you have a moderators permission. If a member does this multiple times, they will be warned. Reviving pinned topics is fine though.
8.
No trolling. Trolling is putting up flame bait, and doing things that will get other members annoyed with you. This is just as bad as flaming, and you will be warned if you do it. Trolling DOES include using subtext and diction in order to try and cause trouble of any kind. There technically is no "line" for this, just the staff's judgement.
9.
You may have ONE sprite topic, to show off your sprites. This topic is to be names the same as your username. Making multiple topics WILL result in a warning. You are allowed to post multiple times in a row, and revive your sprite topic, as long as you are posting new sprites.
10.
No excessive cussing. Under these new rules, the word filters have been taken off, giving members more freedom. Do not abuse this though, and cuss as much are you can, just because you can. This will result in a warning point.
11.
No advertising to members via PM, or any other messaging systems. This will result in a warning. If a member PM's you an advertisement, report it to a mod or admin.
12.
No offensive usernames. This includes names discriminating against a race, flaming another member or forum, or other disrespectful names. This will result in 2 warning points, and a very bad start on FEWars.
13.
Do not insult other members religion, or beliefs. They have a right to believe whatever they want. You may debate about religion in the LUE forum however.
14.
You are allowed to have 1, and only 1 introduction topic. If you make more than 1, you will be warned once for every extra one you make.
15.
You must also abide to any rules in the invisionfree ToS, disobeying any of these could easily result in a permanent ban.16. All questions go either into the “Requests and Complaints” forum or the Help Topic.
Specific Forum RulesA. Forum “New Member Forum” Rules
1. Follow the General Rules.
2. Post count does not increase here.
3. Each person is allowed to have only one introduction topic.
B. Forum “Life, the Universe, and the Earth (LUE)” Rules
1. You may debate about religion here, but cannot attempt to force your religion upon others and argue concerning which faith is “right” or “wrong”.
2. If you are going to post in this board, be aware that some of your views will most likely be different from others, and that arguments are more than likely to form.
If you are going to post on this board, then you are free to argue different points and defend your own. However, arguments should not dissolve into senseless shouting matches.
In short, be sure that you are able to control your temper and take criticism before posting here.
3. Other than the above two, follow the General Rules.
C. Forum “Books, Music, Gaming, and Movies” Rules
1. This forum is strictly for chatting about, books, gaming, movies, and music. Off topic posts will be moved to the Chat forum and the poster will be warned. However, if the same person continues to post off topic threads, they will be suspended for an indefinite period of time.
Also, criticism of a certain movie/game/song/book is of course allowed as long as it remains tasteful.
Example:
That book is bad; it doesn't describe enough and the characters don't develop.
Example of what not to do:
I hate that @#$% book, it's the worst @#$% thing I've ever seen, I mean c'mon I've seen better ^&*% on my shoe!!!!!
If this continues to come from the same person, his or her warning level will be raised.
2. The one exception to this rule is Grondy’s Column. Grondring writes a weekly column that is always posted in this forum despite its topic, so don’t try to report it or anything else along those lines.
3. Other than the above two, follow the General Rules.
D. Forum “Random Insanity” Rules
1. This forum is random. If you are not random, you will be randomly punished by a crew of random bloodthirsty mimes.

3. Other than the two above, follow the General Rules.
5. Post count does not increase here.

1. Advertisements stay on the board for a maximum of 7 days, after which they will disappear from the board's view, waiting to be deleted by a Moderator or Administrator.
Warning SystemTwo Warnings: Suspended for 7 days
Four Warnings: Suspended for 14 days
Six Warnings: Banned indefinitely
If the warnings were from spam, posting rights will be restricted instead of a suspension. If you are continually being warned for spam, this rule will not apply.
Warning levels go down by one every month a person is not warned. If the warning was for spam, it will go down in two weeks. Admins and mods; this applies to you as well.
Warnings are for:
1. Idiocy
2. Spamming
3. Extensive and pointless arguing with another member
4. Straying too far from topic
These took effect Monday, 1/17/2005.
Courtesy of 'IvanList of Potential Warnable OffensesThe following is a list of offenses that are not permitted on Fire Emblem Wars. Any instance of these seen in the forums will be subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of the moderators. Each instance will be punished on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the nature and degree of the offense, punishment may include distribution of warnings or immediate banning. Additionally, any individual accruing a total of
six warnings will be immediately and indefinitely banned. This list is by no means extensive, and moderators reserve the right to give out warnings in any other situations that they deem appropriate.
Having multiple accounts: Each person should have one and only one Fire Emblem Wars account. If you want to change your name or you misspelled something, send a PM to an Administrator with your request and they'll get to it soon enough.
Post Whoring (Spamming): Making insignificant or worthless posts. Posting for the sake of posting, without adding anything substantial to the conversation is considered post-whoring.
Overuse of Smilies/Colors: Smilies, emoticons, and colors are available for the purpose of expressing emotions. However, there should never be a need to fill a post with more than are absolutely needed to adequately do so.
Large inline images: This is completely allowed in the Pictures forums. But in any other forum,
repetitive use of large images is not permitted.
Posting in wrong board : Please make sure you read the sub-headers for each forum.
WeiRd tyPiNg/ALL CAPS: Misuse of these is annoying and is not permitted.
Overquoting: If someone has quoted something that is triple the size of their reply, this is generally considered overquoting.
Subject/topic disagreement: There's nothing as annoying as seeing someone say "...", and then opening up to find out the message says "I like peanuts". Stay on topic.
Harassment through PM/email: Just because an argument cannot be seen on the public forums does not exclude it from disciplinary action.
Blatant advertising: Get rich quick schemes or "click me" Internet games.
Reposting locked topic: This is only for topics that were locked for the original post, not the replies.
Flamebait: Intentionally encouraging flames. Click
here for an example.
Piracy: Downloading mp3's of music someone made (not ripped, but made themselves is okay. Linking to, or asking the whereabouts of game ROM's, or copyrighted mp3's is not okay.
Falsifying information: Pretending to be someone else, spoofing IP's, etc.
Spam: Excessive spamming will not be tolerated.
Pr0n: This includes images, extremely crude pr0n speak, links to pr0n movies, etc.
Flames: Maliciously attacking other users. Intention and content is what we judge here - not use of various words. Click
