I found out about two weeks ago that my wrist has been broken for two months. I have to get surgery on Monday to fix it, so I likely won't be able to type well for a while. When Monday comes around don't expect too much of me for a few weeks. Grondy is in charge while I am absent.

What a coincidence. I'm getting surgery for a hernia next Thursday. ^_^ Fortunately it'll be relatively minor and won't incapacitate me much, so I'll do my best in your stead. Good luck with your wrist!

Hmm was it a small break? I've broken my wrist twice this year (Wrist AND arm for on of the two) but I only had to get surgery done once. It might be a break in an unusual spot, or otherwise it's an unclean break. About typing, don't worry about it, unless they put the cast past your elbow, typing should still be possible. (I was still typing easily with my previous break, in fact I just got my cast of last week :P )

Actually, one of the bones in my wrist area, the Scaphoid bone, was broke completely in two.

It happened two months ago in Taekwondo. I was sparring, and I blocked a kick. After class I noticed my wrist was swolen up. I thought it was sprained, so I put it in a splint. After about four days it felt fine, so I took it out of the splint. It turns out I actually broke it.

I highly doubt I'll be able to type very well with a cast on my hand.

Since you'll both be out, can I be in charge? :P

I broke my wrist once. I was playing baseball, and I fell on top of my hand. Had to get a cast, took me a week before I went to the hospital. I also thought it was sprained. Fracture. Ouch.

You can use.... the other hand...

My first wrist break of this year had to put a cast up towards my shoulder, up past my elbow, so I used my left hand only when I was typing. Just take it easy for a while, it'll hurt for a bit at first, but later it's almost impossible to feel pain with it. ^_^

That's what I am doing. It's really slow.
