Title: Leaving
Severian - October 17, 2005 08:26 PM (GMT)
I am leaving FEW. I'll check back once a day for around 1 week, in case there are any responsibilities I have forgotten, but I have donated my characters' belongings to my country's vault already.
EDIT-Also posted that mods should remove me from Grado, forum team, and judges.
Kipdog - October 17, 2005 08:30 PM (GMT)
Your not leaving forever right?
Severian - October 17, 2005 08:32 PM (GMT)
Yes, I am, otherwise I wouldn't have said I was staying for a week, included an "after leaving email", or donated all my characters belongings to the vault.
Kipdog - October 17, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
That sucks, why are you leaving? I mean, you were pretty cool when I knew you in Bern, and your a great member to the board.
Severian - October 17, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)
Thanks, I thought you were pretty cool too. But I'm just not really interested in staying on anymore, so I decided to leave.
Is the Macgyver banner showing up?

Bye, Mr. Bucket. I've never really talked to you that much, but from when I have I can tell you're nice. I hope you will come back some day.

strikeraider827 - October 17, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
Mr. Bucket, my friend. I never got to know you, but everytime I see a bucket I'll thinka bout you. Hopefully I can meet you one day, you shouldn't be too hard to find you in a crowd. ^_^ Farewell friend.

Thanks for your messages. I know someone asked why I'm leaving, though I'm too lazy to check who, so I'll make some attempt to explain.
((I should have posted the actual PM convo, but I already replied to the message and don't have my response available.))
Mega_dude asked me via PM why I was leaving. I said something along the lines of:
While I find the community good/ok/fun ((something like that)), the stat RPG worked out reasonably well, and have invested a fair amount of time here, I don't really enjoy my time on here anymore.
To elaborate slightly further...There isn't really anything "wrong" with the forum, there isn't anything that's changed that I could point to and say, "well, that's why I don't care about staying" or anything like that. However, I don't really feel like coming on anymore, so it's time for my farewell. I'll miss all of you, providing you've been on the forum long enough for me to know your name.
Macgyver for US President in '08.
EDIT-Exact message if anyone cares:

Yes, it is.
I think the community is, at worst, ok, I think the stat RP makes a fair amount of sense, and I certainly have a fair amount of time invested here.
Nontheless, I don't really enjoy the time I spend here anymore, and there really isn't any reason to come back on. So I decided to pack my bags and head out the "door".

Bucket... I know what you're feeling right now. Mainly because I'm feeling the same thing. I might not be here much longer. But if I am, I'll miss you Bucket.

Schtolteheim, I have to say, I never expected it. You're a heavy loss, and I hope that someday you do indeed return. One of these days, you'll be on the computer, and just decide "Aw, the hell with it. Those were the days, anyways!" and come back. You know that nobody will forget Mr. Bucket, and I will never forget Schtolteheim Reinbach V(I didn't c/p, I actually learned how to spell it!). You'll still get on MSN every once in a while, right?

I always regarded you as one of the most competent members... Fair thee well.

I haven't tried to be on MSN every once in a while, but I will now. I got rid of it a while ago but I'll put it back on so I can keep in touch.
I will likely never come back for the stat RP. I may come back for occasional non RP chat, but it won't be often.

You're... you're leaving... :( That's so sad... you were an excellent RPer, and intelligent debater, a nice, charismatic member... and here you are, leaving us all. I suppose there's no changing your mind, though, is there? v.v
It was good talking to you, when I had done so. You're a literate, intelligent light in a... well, saying an illiterate world would only serve to anger, now, wouldn't it. ^.^ I can't even crack a good joke right now. It's really sad to see someone like you go. I'll remember ya, Schtolteheim Reinbach V. I'll remember you as Bucket, though... I hope you don't mind. :)
Heck, I never even learned how to spell your new username correctly. I had to look up to see how it was spelled, and even then, I'm not sure I got it right...
Well, good luck, mkay? I hope everything turns out okay offline. I don't know much about your personal life (nor do I intend to pry), but I wish you best of luck nonetheless. Farewell...
grondring - October 18, 2005 02:57 AM (GMT)
Your departure is a great loss both to the forums and to everyone on the forums. I'll miss you. Hope everything works out for you...
Severian - October 18, 2005 08:37 PM (GMT)
I don't have it [MSN] on the compy right now. My hotmail address was "mrbucket2525@hotmail.com" but it's flooded with mail and such from the NYT, since I never changed my email address from them (I rarely read the emails anyway).
So I will probably go get a new one before the week is out and post it here and put in my profile.
I've noticed a number of people commenting on my username, it's not really a problem that people kept calling me Mr Bucket, I just decided to change it. I appreciate those who did take the time to spell or mispell Schtolteheim Reinbach V, but I'm not even slightly annoyed at anyone who didn't.
I obviously won't go into detail on my personal life, but there aren't any problems that can't be handled to some degree. Obviously, not everything in school, social, etc life is easily solved, but life isn't treating me crazy bad or anything.
