why are the units in the vetern icon one of the newer units to FE? shouldn't they be something like good ole swordmasters, fighters or mages?

This board isnt based on one specific Fire Emblem, so the unit doesn't matter to much.

It's a nice icon, so why do we care?
Besides, it's not too much having to do with oldness, otherwise we'd award it based on time rather than...well, basically rather than the admins decide someone should be one or not.
