Loser's just a term coined by those who can't stand another, in attempt to make him or herself feel superior by making that person feel inferior. In terms of social status or whatnot, the validity of the term "loser" is moot.

No, its fine. Errors help to keep it "real" to potentially illiterate users. Help them relate to the board, know'whaddimean? Its an effective strategy, I love your thinking guys.

That wont make us look elitist. Everything in wikipedia uses correct terminology. Using correct grammar doesnt make you look elitist.
