Hey there folks, I am just wondering if you guys have any plans of installing a Word Count Mod at this forum? It is a simple thing to get, and considering this is a PHP forum, the mod is usually a run-of-the-mill feature that many places use. It is a good way to see if a certain member writes lengthy posts, for example, a member with 2000 Posts could only have a Word Count of 10,000 (words.) whilst a person with 200 Posts could really have over 100,000 Words. That alone would tell you who makes lengthy, quality posts. That is just my suggestion, but I think it is a nice thing to have at any forum. Let me know what you think, and I can explain more if need be...

It might not be a bad idea, as long as it doesnt take up alot of space in the coding of the board. See what the other administrators think.

No worries, any expressed interest either way is still worthy of note in my opinion. I come from sites/forums where you earn Soldiers (for the War Systems) and Gold/Money/Gil (what ever you want to call it.) for your posts. This sort of thing is useless to a site, basically, if you do not have a nation system. If you have not dealt with such a thing before, that is okay. The good thing about a Word Count stat, is that it is a simple little line of text under your name, well under you post count, traditionally.

It does have its benefits, that is for sure. In my case, at most sites I go to, you won't see me having a substantial post count (numbering in the many-thousands), even if I have been there for over a year. But, I do write lengthy and well thought out posts, and I am also keen to know straight away if another member is like that. If anything, having a Word Count feature at this forum, would perhaps inspire your members to write longer posts. There is a definite quality over quantity factor right there.

I think the space in the coding that this Mod would take up, would be very minuscule. Though I am no tech-admin.)

Also, I'm not sure if they would even be able to install it due to the fact that IF gives extremely limited access... So yeah..

EDIT:After some quick research I have concluded that we do not have the ability to install that mod. Sorry.
