Title: My Dreams

NinOdaSagE - January 22, 2006 03:58 AM (GMT)
Okay, maybe topics like this have been made before, but I really have a hard time understanding my dreams and I thought perhaps one of you among the crowds of people, would know and/or understand.

I have been plagued by dreams of being chased ever since I can remember. Every single time I dream, I'm always being chased by some unknown adversary. I guess the emotions going through me during that point in time are fear and the determination to run, run, run (no, this doesn't come from running Track). When I wake up, the chase ends temporarily, only to begin again another night.

Why? Why do I have these dreams? They've been there forever, it seems--never a peaceful moment, forever a chase. I wish someone would tell me.

Wow .. thanks. ^_^

I guess I am that way. Now that I know, how do I fix it ...

Hiei - January 22, 2006 04:07 AM (GMT)
dreams usually mean SHIT

Puff - January 22, 2006 04:52 AM (GMT)
Along with the site Crayola gave you, (and forgive me if I'm being redundant, I just skimmed the first paragraph), I'd add to look at the colours too. Here's some meaning of the most common colours:

Red - cultural means stop, danger, love, no, hot
Yellow - caution, slow down, be careful
Blue - cold, water
Green - go, ok, money, healing

It would also help if you pay attention to the following:

House[Does the dream take place in your house at any time?]: Self

Weather: What is going on in life.
Storm = turmoil.
Sunshine = Happiness
Cold = Lack of and/or lost love

Water: Emotions, unconscious, source of all life.
Type of water (stream, lake, rapid, etc.) and it's moments give major clues as to what is happening in our unconscious, and/or our feelings.

Time of Day: Time of one's life, of event, and/or state of being.
Dusk = withdrawl or retiring. May symbolize end of life or relationship.
Dawn = youth, awakening, optimism. May symbolize beginning of life or relationship

:unsure: Now *blushes* sorry if most of the is irrelevent. . . I just like trying to help out a little with dreams. . . ~>_>~

At least youre dreams are semi coherent. I have had a recurring dream lately where mice in little helmets with toothpick are plotting to over throw me......... cares the crap out of me.....

But dreams are usually thought to just be link between the conscious and sub concious mind, so meh.

I was just going to say your being stalked. >>

Kojiro - January 22, 2006 05:54 PM (GMT)
Whatever she/anyone says, it's not me.

Kipdog - January 22, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
Your thinking about it too much, I havent had a nightmare since I was five, I'd just try to stop thinking about that dream before you go to bed, usually if you have good thoughts before you go to sleep you have a good dream, and if your scared before you go to bed you may have a nightmare. :ph43r:

NinOdaSagE - January 22, 2006 10:18 PM (GMT)
@Hiei: No, they do mean something. I did a research project on Dreams last year, but I didn't find any information about my particular dream...

@Puff: Thank you for that ^_^ It helps alot. I'll be sure to remember.

@Trace: That's not ... uh ...

And finally =_=;;

Kip, thinking about things before sleeping doesn't change what you dream about. Not for me anyway... I remember once I was 11, I was thinking about Pokemon and ended up dreaming about being chased by a shadowy figure again -_-;;

In my latest dream .. I was being chased again... Let's see.. weather, cloudy and dark. Color. ... gray/blue. I think I was at some sort of garden. There was a river or ocean (can't tell) and it was swallowing things up O_O

Kojiro - January 22, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
...maybe because you were playing Pokemon again? :P

Hiei - January 22, 2006 10:26 PM (GMT)
There is no scientifical proof saying dreams mean anything.

NinOdaSagE - January 22, 2006 10:28 PM (GMT)
Then why do we dream Hiei? Because our mind likes making movies in our heads?

@Cray: And ... what does Pokemon have to do with anything ...? :huh:

Didn't you say that was the reason for having the dream...?

sara13987 - January 22, 2006 10:34 PM (GMT)
Actually, a few years ago, I had a few weird dreams, which I interpreted myself into something that might happen in the future, and they turned out pretty similar...

I think that if dreams stick in your mind bothering you, and you can't forget them, that they mean something. If they don't, maybe they're just random nonsense.

I meant that I was thinking about Pokemon, but I ended up dreaming about something else.

I dreamed I banged a hot chick...and I learned I like bangin hot chicks.

Puff - January 23, 2006 02:56 AM (GMT)
Actually Hiei! There ARE scientific studies that dreams do mean something (excluding sex dreams; sexs dreams are merely "what you see is what you get" there's not any meaning behind them). . . A lot of the times, famous people can be cultural symbols in dreams. For example, if a person dreams about Woody Allen (most of these dreamers are 30 years of age and older), he could sybolize a) insecurity or b ) neurtisism.
If you dream about a famous person, you've gotta think about what they're associated with. And then put that into what you were dreaming. It helps unravel the meaning of your dream. . . And this makes little sense, I'm sorry; trying to remember how my psychology teacher explained it.

Nino: ^_^ You're welcome! Hope it helps!

My dreams are always screwy... And I always have 2 that happen over and over again... (I'm not making these up...)

1. I'm attacked by a panda, and in the end, Micheal Jackson comes up with zombies, and beats the bear up dancing. Then later (So I guess that wasn't the end... oh well...), I ride a donkey that's zebrastriped into a waterfall, where i get in the bat copter... and when I'm in the helecopter... I'm still on the Zebra/donkey thing.
2. It starts off with me walking up to a friends house. Then... there's liek the apocolypse, and I get knocked out by a yo-yo. I end up watching my mom destroy a statue, and getting mugged by a giant rooster. At the end, I get in a giant robot, and smash things with a giant bass. At the very end... I become president...

... Interpret please? :mellow:

Oh yeah, I'll add that I've had these in the past 2 weeks that I've been sick and on medicine...

Kojiro - January 23, 2006 03:15 AM (GMT)
Well, for the first one, remember that Michael Jackson video I showed you? The one where he daves the planet?

The second.. what kind of statue? And what do you mean by a giant bass? Guitar?

Kaden - January 23, 2006 03:19 AM (GMT)
He daves the planet?!? OMG! Yeah... I think it was like thriller that made me think of that.

And the second one... The statue is a bunch of hoses attached to a ball. The bass is a big bass guitar...

Kojiro - January 23, 2006 03:23 AM (GMT)
I think that the waking up in a friends house means you how feeling (if it's a girl) or is close to him/her. The apocalypse is.....

The getting knocked out by a yo yo shows how you hate toys. XD I'm so dumb.

The destroying of the statues shows your hate for hoses and balls O_O

The giant robot/bass shows things tha you want...

And I'm completely incorrect, aren't I ^_^

Kaden - January 23, 2006 11:05 PM (GMT)
I kinda have a bass already... and Yo-Yo's are cool... :unsure: Nope, a guys house... and... Depends on who's hose and balls. So yeah... YOU SUCK! lol... nice try?

I am completely passive on dreams. I think they are quite entretaining. If they are bad, that is scary and I wake up. Bad dreams suck, but they also pass. I really don't care if they mean anything. Dreams are just fun.
