BTW:Before i go judging crazy, anything new for judges? Is the new system completely diff? Are the old judges still judges? Is the arbitor system thing the same? Can arbitors approve characters only, or anyone who passes some test?

The formulas have been modified. We're not sure yet as to whether or not judges should remain, or retest.

Ugh, that is one of the reasons I didn't want that to happen.

the formulas for judging aren't affected, are they? (hit-evade=hit rate and such) I don't see why that would affect anything beside the vitals, which the judges shouldn't need to worry about

Yes, the formulas have been altered. Bascially Skill affects attack speed just as much as speed now. And evasion is affected by only speed X 2 plus luck, rather than attack speed.

It's this national competition... you go local, then state, then finals. Last year 3/4 of her students got C's, and it's an honors class.

well you could have this teeny tiny mage with like 6(or so) con... and be basicly be an evade unit and could use bolting and still have a ton of evade.....

Good job team. This is the greatest news FEW's heard in quite some time now. I'm sure a few of the old judges will go back to being judges, we have to have some judges to sign tryouts I guess.

Idea: Keep all the old judges, put up the formulae, and a month from Saturday, have an aptitude test, to see who can adapt to this new judging system and who's gotta go. Just an idea.

No one will have to retake the test, we will just put it up and make sure the judges read it before judging.

@Loner: We saw that, but we don't think that that will affect the balance of the system enough to complicate anything more.

I didn't even enter, it was like if you want to type thing, but i made top 20 in my school :P

And do we know who ALL the judges are 0.0 mabey the main judges but there are those who come on every once in a while and actually judge :P
I thought it would be nice just to do the judge thing all over again, anyone who wants to be can PM someone and be given a test, same as always, then a much harder test for some War Judge type thing, mabey diff, then do the arbitor task thing like we've had now, also if there are alot trying to show they are a great judge by judging alot, then few if any battles will go long without being judge, so everyone wins :)

Just to let you all know. The reset will happen today whenever 'Ivan gets on to fix all of the permission masks/forums/etc. Everything else is practically done.

All new rules are under the "RULES" button. Basically we just have 10...wait, 0-100 would make 11 growth categories....instead of three and you have more ability to choose between 'em. But it's still all non-RN based.

I'm sure we could go ahead and dig up the stat discussions if you want so you could read them for fun. Also the character archetype VS analysis. But you guys should figure out what's best now on your own. If there is a true best.
