grondring - March 27, 2006 03:34 AM (GMT)
Just curious.

Dragon_Tam3r - March 27, 2006 03:36 AM (GMT)
I'm likly to be insanly one of them, but i have no clue about politcal partys and what their veiws are xD

Puff - March 27, 2006 04:37 AM (GMT)
Agreed with Blight..

I fear when I'm 18, cause I'll have to pick a side and I have no clue what either of them are about... Then again, when I'm 18, I think elections will be over, so I'll have to wait another 4 years... Oi...

strikeraider827 - March 27, 2006 11:05 AM (GMT)
I'm not 100% sure. I think I'm more liberal.

EDIT: Test results show I'm a Democrat, and doesn't Democrat = liberal?

QUOTE (Quizilla Quiz Republican)
Environmental conservation loses too many jobs, especially in the logging and mining industries. We should continue to drill for oil in national parks and refuges if that means less dependence on foreign oil. Oh, and global warming doesn't exist.

Dragon_Tam3r - March 27, 2006 12:57 PM (GMT)
Mind showing me that test? xD

Cadin - March 27, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
Conservative leaning moderate.

grondring - March 27, 2006 02:47 PM (GMT)
Yeah Cadin! :P Con-mod's the way to go.

For those who aren't sure, here's quick litmus test.

Do you support gay rights?
Do you support gun control?
Are you opposed to the war in Iraq?
Do you support abortion?

If you answered "yes" to, oh, let's say 3 out of those 4, you're a liberal. If you answered "no" to 3 out of 4, you're a conservative. If you answered exactly 2 out of 4, then congratulations! You're a moderate.

(Yeah, that's a ridiculously crappy, stereotypical test, but hey, what do I look like, a professional pollster?)

strikeraider827 - March 27, 2006 03:32 PM (GMT)
Definitely Liberal.

Yes.
Yes.
Sure..
I don't know..

I guess.. I'm liberal.

Thanks Grondring!

Wait...You make a good point... And I read that question wrong... I change my answer.

No.

sara13987 - March 27, 2006 07:06 PM (GMT)
Umm, I'm not so into politics... I guess I'm a Conservative by grondy's test, but I'm against War, too. I doubt I'll be meddling into such things anytime soon, anyway. I'll just be voting for whoever I deem the most trustworthy, I suppose. :/

But Sara, how can you deem politicians trustworthy? They're all lieing [insert curses here]...

sara13987 - March 27, 2006 07:15 PM (GMT)
Well, some of the people who run around here, at least, for the Green Party, are half decent. Note, I said "most trustworthy".

Puff - March 27, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
Oh. I understand.. Pardon my reading errors.

Damn NSL class ruining my ignorance in politics. D:

I'm a conservative according to a couple of tests we did in the class but like to think of myself as moderate. >_>.

Míxtil_<3_fish! - March 27, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
In america, i'd probably be considerd a fairly extreem liberal, but here, just a normal liberal.

I do. and even if not, some of the things they do for abortion are just plain disgusting, try looking it up sometime. there's that plus all the study that show 9/10 or so women that go through abortion are clinicly depressed and/or at a much higher risk of disease as a result.

Well, i'd be depressed if i'd allowed killed something that either was aliver or had strong potential to be alive, wouldn't you? Humans regert many decisions, and this one is no different. Doesn't make it wrong though.

grondring - March 29, 2006 08:49 PM (GMT)
My mother actually had an abortion.

... I was somewhat upset when I found out.

Hiei - March 29, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)
My philosophy on abortions: If you get pregnant, have the baby. I don't give a shit if it's emotionally stressful, or whatever. That doesn't give you the right to take away a potential life. Put them up for adoption if you have to. But if you go and have sex, then you need to think of the consequinces. Rape is a bit differance... it justifies an abortion a bit more.

SpiralStatic - March 30, 2006 12:27 AM (GMT)
You can't tell people what to do Hiei. When you do, they get pissed and get all, "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO" So basically, let the fuckers do what they want. Let it weigh on their consiences, stay out of it yourself... that's my standpoint on all this political shit of late.

Do you take that stand on everything? or just abortion?

grondring - March 30, 2006 01:33 AM (GMT)
I'm personally against abortion, but I have to admit it's not for any logical reason. It just feels wrong to me. <_<

sara13987 - March 30, 2006 01:42 AM (GMT)
... Like seriously, I've been told that there are plenty of couples out there searching for babies to adopt, since they're actually pretty hard to come by. Why kill a life that hasn't been able to even taste life yet, when there are so many people out there who would just as easily take the baby and take care of it?

Because oft times wanting to adopt doesn't lead to being able[allowed] to adopt. :"(

My brother, it's time you wake up and smell the play-dough

Abortions just plain wrong, taking a life away with no chance to see how they evolve?

Kojiro - March 30, 2006 06:43 AM (GMT)
Abortion=Bad.

Ugh, we should make a discussion for this x_x

Dragon_Tam3r - March 30, 2006 08:43 AM (GMT)
Feel free, we're already in LUE

Arcan - March 30, 2006 12:12 PM (GMT)
Bah. Anti-abortion coming from the same people (not you two specifically, but conservatives in general) who support the murder of innocents in Iraq for the sake of a dying fuel source.

...If you can't tell, I'm a liberal.

As for abortion, I'm glad you take the arguement of 'how they evolve'. Because anytime someone spouts that they could be, say, the next president or great scietnist, I point out they could be the next Jack the Ripper. And I'm pro-abortion, but only until the third trimester. I do see abortion as murder, but I don't view the baby as human until its a fetus. Thus, no murder until then.

Hiei - March 30, 2006 12:57 PM (GMT)

I'm against the war in Iraq, and anti abortion.

Show me who believes that. Personally I don't know ANY conservatives that are for murdering innocents for oil.

Hell, it's your friends that won't let us drill for oil in various parts of the US. Don't even try to make oil the main issue here.

Having said that, I'm not exactly thrilled with the war in Iraq. But to say we are killing innocents for oil is a complete insult to those soldiers who happen to be risking their lives over there... Until you have actually talked to a soldier who informs you that he is over there killing innocents.. STFU.

It's not politics if it's not in some way hypocritical. And Cadin, I was taking that standpoint on everything, not just abortion...
