Title: Stat RPs

While I'm not sure of public opinion as a whole, the first two days I've been on MSN this week I've talked to a few FEW members.(Pun intended) It seems that including stats in RP discourages people to Roleplay in the first place. The reason is that some people would rather RP then RPG so their characters are weak. When the come to the RP their character is still weak no matter how good they are of a RP'er. An example would be if someone with no RP talent has a promoted character fights an experienced Rp'er with a weak character. When the two characters fight, the veteran loses in and out of the RP no matter if the veteran actually knows how to fight while the other is a complete dunce.

This is wrong because the RP shouldn't revolve around the RPG, it should be completely seperate. EXP if given should be rewarded for talent and experience, not on who wins in a RPG fight. We can either complete seperate the two allowing people to create different characters and not have to rely on stats or remove stats but keep giving exp the RPG characters. Either way solves this problem.

I agree with the first part(hasnt read the second part)

yes the RP and the RPG is kinda bad in ways....but it also encourages the RPers to make a char and train him/her to the point where he/she can beat n00bs that have no RP experience but have a level 20/20 character.

The bolded part i dont really agree with...i think the winner should be given EXP for winning a battle(I mean seriously) cause why else whould he be in the battle? But I do agree with you when you say that the person could be rewarded for talenta and not just flat out power.

Isn't EXP also given if the RPer is good?

That's what Trace was saying, only give out exp for the quality of your RPing talent, not just becuase you have (2) promoted chars, you go around pwning everyone (heheheheh)
