I picked Squall, Terra, and Tidus... why Tidus? Because he actually develops throughout the course of the game, unlike some others. So, even though he's a whiny character that grates my nerves, his change from immature to being a serious teen by the end of the game left me impressed enough to give him the vote.

I'd have voted for Cloud, but... meh. I wasn't too fond of his personality as a whole, but he is really sexy! ^_^ But... fangirlness aside, he failed to show me anything I hadn't seen before in a common protagonist.

Squall... cute as Cloud, and developed the capability over the course of the game to effectively remove that stick from out of his ass. ^^ That and his general attitude makes him appealing in both looks and personality, and, as with Tidus, he did develop quite a bit. :3

Terra just kicks ass. ^_^ Personally, I wish Locke had been up there, but... *Shrugs*

Cloud didn't auto-win like usual. I'm starting to like this place more already. =O

Squall: Dude. He rawks out. I like Seifer more, but just slightly. He's the bomb.
Zidane: A thief. A monkey Thief. A monket thief that robs a queen. Woot!
Cecil: "I'm so dark, but now i'm light. Yay..." I just like FF4 since i got it.
Tidus: Cool Sport. Otherwise, Auron. Or seymour(JK! JK! :o )

That, and the ability to use a Large broadsword, that's double sided and bladed, and daggers really is nice.

Then you need to obtain an imagination, because anyone who says that Final Fantasy Tactics is an uninspired game needs to seriously take another look at the series.

I never played tactics, so cannot judge.

Then I'd highly suggest playing it, 'cause I like it more than IX, and you know how I feel about IX.

FF Tactics has the best storyline and music in the game. I like the gameplay (it's like FE 'cept 3D), though some people dont as much, and the character development is like Tactics Advance, and FFX-2, 'cept better. Basically you customize your character 100%.

When looking at the series most people just see FFVII and FFX, and assume that those two are the best, and that the entire series is generally like those two games 'cept not as good. First off, despite contrary belief, those two games are NOT the best in the series. For that matter, many games beat them. They're about average. Second, the games are all different, so unless you've played the entire series you can't really Judge which games are the best. 80% of the Cloud fanboys out there havn't played any FF, other than VII.

Um, I like FFVII best, and I've played every FF in existence, save for Tactics(PS)... and CC... but CC doesn't count. And plus, I like IX and VIII a lot, just not as much as VII. My favorite protagonist up there IS NOT CLOUD! cloud's too much sephiroth's bitch in the early stages of the game...

All I know is depite popoular belief, FFVII does not have the best storyline. Also, I heard CC was really bad. It's the only one I havn't actually played myself. Lets not base the series off that one, either. -.-

FF Tactics will forever be my favorite game, it's even better than Ogre Battle 64. Ramza and Delita should definately be up there (maybe Mog and Cid too :P).

But out of those, I will say Cecil, as he is the best character to make a spoof out of. *Watches FF Big brother*

I'd say Cloud... I haven't played much FF lately.

The FF7 story is overrated and underrated at the same time. The fanboys overglorify it, and the anti-fanboys say it sucks and it's confusing. It's a great plot, deep and rich with philosophical aspects of life, death, reincarnation, and evironmental awareness. Really, I know the fanboys are fucking annoying, trust me, I hate the fanboys even more than you guys do, but FFVII most definitely ranks very high in the list of Square's all time greats, right there with Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, and FFVI and so on.

Meh. You put up fighter for FF1...I would have preferred black mage, if nothing else just for personality in 8-bit theater.

As is, I have to vote Ramza and Zidane..not only my two favorite FF games, but Ramza can be w/e you want, and Zidane is awesome with the dual-blade things.
