What were they thinking? Absolutely nothing.
I Know What the hell Mario Williams instead of regie bush, he was no.1 in the draft. :stupidsign:
I know it's a little past-date, but I have to point a few things out.
-Reggie Bush IS the best player available in the draft.
-Mario Williams IS the 2nd best player available in the draft.
-A defensive player will always have more of an impact on a team than an offensive player.
-Why, you ask? Defensive players have an opportunity to do something every one of the opponent's snaps. Offensive players rely too much on their teammates.
-Houston already has Domanick Davis, who has produced 1000+ yards in the last three seasons* with the single worst offensive line in the NFL.
-For those of you who would've liked seeing Bush as a kick returner, can you say Jerome Mathis? Kick off return specialist, Houston Texans.
Basically, this wasn't a matter of choosing the BPA**, it was a matter of team needs.
*granted, he only got 976 this past season, but that's close enough.
**Best Pick Available.
