Title: Something crazy just snapped in my head
Sojourn - May 31, 2006 09:50 PM (GMT)
Well I was thinking...Why don't we just go back the the ORIGINAL FEW RPG? I mean everyone was in the RPG and this one was like....(no offence)crappy.
So what I'm proposing is we go all the back to Elibe or Magival(Elibe is better XD) and go alllll the way back the keywords and stuff like that...
This is just a thought you don't have to take it seriously if you don't want to
Alex - May 31, 2006 09:54 PM (GMT)
I like this idea; the other forum teamers are pretty set on having the RPG use... errr... this "stuff".
Sojourn - May 31, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)
"stuff"? Like this RPGs "stuff"? Or the "stuff" I was mentioning. WHAT "STUFF" ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!? XD
Alex - May 31, 2006 09:57 PM (GMT)
The current RPGs... "stuff".
Sojourn - May 31, 2006 10:06 PM (GMT)
Ehh
I do kinda like this "stuff" but the country only shops the no NPCs and so on really bugs me....Also I had a way for easy promotion that worked very well when elibe was around
Another thing I really liked was....SACAE RULES!!!
Lades - May 31, 2006 11:06 PM (GMT)
Hey, why not!
To Bern! To Lycia! To Nabata, where I can live in the desert like a hermit.
Kyrillos - May 31, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
Alex has yet to read the Vet board.

Definately the original FEWRPG.
King Kong - June 1, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)
I agree on this one 100%.
SpiralStatic - June 1, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
Ah, Nabata... those are some fond/bitter memories... Yup, we should definitely go back to Elibe. It was so much easier to make a backstory. And we could Coax Grondy into continuing Coda.
King Kong - June 1, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
I think the best part of Elibe was the fact that there were more than six freakin countries, and there were also a lot less wars. When we were in Elibe, and a war broke out, everybody was like "OMG WAR!", and ever since my reign with Grado, everybody's just kinda like "oh a war. Great, another three months before the RPG is active again."
I miss BTP :"(
Sojourn - June 1, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
WAH! I have finally said something of importance/everyone agrees on!
If you want I can help with the switch/reset if its happening. XD (If its happening
King Kong - June 1, 2006 12:24 AM (GMT)
A. I highly, HIGHLY doubt it'll actually happen.
B. You gotta be a staff member in order to help with a reset. Sorry, buddy.
Sojourn - June 1, 2006 12:30 AM (GMT)
1. Darn
2. Darn
Why couldn't it happen?
Kyrillos - June 1, 2006 12:35 AM (GMT)
A) Forum team is more than retarded. They all think that 'advanced' is fucking better, and the vets of this site have a little more than fuck off your buggery bastards to them. Hell, the VET ROOM is hilarious right now. It's got more randomosity and 'Let's bring the ELIBE RP' back in it than grondy has intellect.
B) It's the FEW staff. Things NEVER go the way they should. DON'T bet against me, my track record on bets is pretty damn high. Ask Reyde, he knows what I mean.
Sojourn - June 1, 2006 12:44 AM (GMT)
Ok...I'm not gonna flame here but...Aien? Why don't you take yourself into the corner, cool off, then come back on to the forum and we will see how you feel, K?
Another thing I want to say. Just because you are annoyed in real life right now doesn't mean you have blow steam on everyone else on the forum...just to let you know YOU control the fingers that are typing on the keyboard. So like I said go sit down in the corner and cool off.
^_^

*hides away from the Aien storm*
Sojourn - June 1, 2006 01:33 AM (GMT)
What? I'm not afraid. I will take it maturely and if Aien flames me or flamebaits me I don't care! So it doesn't matter
SpiralStatic - June 1, 2006 02:12 AM (GMT)
Um... FFTA, you just flamebaited him, not very mature. Second of all, Aien's getting a point across, you have no right to blow it off that way. The staff does have MORE than its fair share of retardation. No disrespect, but they make quite a few foolish decisions. And see, the thing is, he's right... just about everything he's bet on has come true. As one of his longest standing buddies here on FEW, we talk a lot, and Aien's got some freaky insight, so don't start spewing bullshit at him. Just because you're in the "Respected Member" group doesn't mean you can act like what you say has to be important to everyone else.
And you call yourself FEW's loner? Last time I checked, loners were sociopaths, meaning they don't have friends and they don't WANT friends, so you're obviously a case of a poser.
My guess is you're taking the defense of the staff because you want a staff position. If that's the way FEW works, then there's no one on that staff worthy of my respect.(False statement, 'Ivan, Karn, Alex, Trace, Strike, Ultima, Kip, Mega, hell, even Luis are all on staff, and I do respect them, in no particular order)
Do notice that I just mentioned every single damn staff member, so the freaking point is staff doesn't work that way. Quit posing and have a real opinion. You have no place telling Aien to cool off when you've never done anything constructive for the forum really... One topic doesn't count you know...
Sojourn - June 1, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
I did? O.O
What post? O.O
Do you want me to start acting like a sociopath? But I havent found anything the refers to me being a loner anymore. but if im a poser whatever
im just going to stop right now.
Kyrillos - June 1, 2006 02:24 AM (GMT)
It'd probably be a smart idea.
I had an idea, and i'm putting my idea into motion.
Nate - June 1, 2006 02:32 AM (GMT)
I agree we should have it... but I like the little stat thing where when you hit max it just disapeers that makes it so much hard to make a super person...
And I also thing that the stat growths are to confuzzling like this. I sorta liked the stat growths too they stopped people from going high defence high offense and high HP with nothing else... Then there was always my favorite little thing with the weapon thing which was kinda neet to have.
'Ivan - June 1, 2006 12:21 PM (GMT)
I mentioned this of my own accord (as in, without knowing of this topic's existence) several weeks ago.
I think it sounds like a good idea, save for the fact that the character creation and statistics back then were highly, highly, god-awful broken. People who mastered the system (Karn, before he even created the system <_< ; grondring; various others) dominated the field.
If you mean go back to the core country mechanics without most of this infrastructure stuff that I think you've got a brillant idea.
Phantom - June 1, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
i don't know too much about this new infrastructure stuff or the countries ... but i have to say that the old character system was a lot better than the current system ...
and i also miss the elibe countries ...
Trace Stratus - June 1, 2006 03:20 PM (GMT)
Okay, let me just say this. People miss the old stat system because it was simple. It's understandable, but it was so simple that people left and right were mastering it so that you couldn't find anyone who hadn't mastered it anymore. Plus, people were promoting in less then a week so that when a war actually happened almost every unit was around or in the 20s.
Also, nastalga(sp?) is usually everyone remembering the good but never the bad. I also want to go back to the way it was but not exactly the way it was. Elibe is fine, keywords are great, stat limits were superb, but character creation has gotten better and should stay the way it is. I would say more but it would be considered 'leeking'.

Technically, only I "mastered" the system.
First, Grondring wasn't speed/luck. His speed cap was too low, he could have been double attacked by Karn's character or mine at 20/20.
Second, Karn's basic idea was perfect. However, he did NOT maximize efficiency, which I did. He was just a higher level.
agentice - June 1, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
There is also my old idea that I posted a long time ago.
linky
The Entertainer - June 1, 2006 09:34 PM (GMT)
A lot of the old ideas are being taken back into consideration. But like Trace and 'Ivan mentioned, the old formulas were very unbalanced.. no one likes an unbalanced stat system unless your on the high end of the tipping scale.
Also, to all the vetties... my Skill/Speed >>> Speed/Luck anyday ;D
And Luna for the win! Hahaha.

Yeah. I chose to use bows and sword because it fit my character's background. I would have been much more powerful if I did a dark/bow combo. Otherwise, you're character beat me because you focused a little on defense, but I could fight magic better.
Alex - June 2, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
I had bow/sword. Should have done sword/light. D:. High hit rate and double attacks ftw. Defensive characters just got pwned.
Trace Stratus - June 2, 2006 03:18 PM (GMT)
Yes, if you weren't speed/anything then you usually got raped. :/
Phantom - June 2, 2006 03:29 PM (GMT)
you could be def/res and win against most characters ... but not against spd/str ...
i guess spd/str was the best option ...
Trace Stratus - June 2, 2006 03:42 PM (GMT)
Their were a few excpetions yes. My str/skl(but still very fast) druid killed mostly anyone(and hit) with 1 or 2 hits.
legoroy2 - June 2, 2006 05:08 PM (GMT)
Ho man... we can change the stat thingys, but I was really into uprgrading the current world! I gave it cities and dungeons and stuff! Maybe add another continent...
