Title: End of the world?
Juan - May 31, 2006 11:26 PM (GMT)
how many people really belive tht the world is gonna en 06/06/06? its ironic that my friends birthday is on that day as well....
Valter - May 31, 2006 11:37 PM (GMT)
I don't know. You can never be sure about it happening or not. But if it does happen, I'll die smiling. But my bets are that the day will go by without anything happening.
Missy_Roxx_Meh_Soxx - May 31, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
Anybody that thinks that is a retard.
LoZfan03 - May 31, 2006 11:47 PM (GMT)
sure hope not, I've got a library book due that day, and I hate to keep a book overdue :P
SpiralStatic - June 1, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
IT's funny, because, the end of the world wouldn't actually be the end of the world... It'd be the end of (most of) mankind...

I bet only one or two people from FEW survives if it does happen. I will NOT be one.
strikeraider827 - June 1, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
I doubt it. The end of the world is going to be so much deeper, with a group of 8 controlling the rebuilding of mankind.
legoroy2 - June 1, 2006 07:54 AM (GMT)
By the least 15. Probably.
I Have a Sandwich - June 1, 2006 01:55 PM (GMT)
I don't think so. We made it through 6/6/0619 times already, and dates are concept of man. We'll all die on like August 7thXD
Alex - June 1, 2006 06:52 PM (GMT)
Kipdog - June 1, 2006 07:34 PM (GMT)
If the world ends on 06/06/06 I'll give you all $20.

I'll hold you to that Kip
Missy_Roxx_Meh_Soxx - June 1, 2006 07:39 PM (GMT)
If it doesn't you owe me $20.01.
Lades - June 1, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
All that's gonna happen is the omen premeres. And since i don't care bout it, nothing extraordinary will happen to me.
AnimeGoddess2006 - June 1, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)
Just superstition, I think...I know someone who has a birthday on that day.
They're cool with it.
KuraiKitsune - June 2, 2006 12:43 AM (GMT)
Long argument short: Even if you're religious, it's said that the devil's number is 666. However, no where in text does it say that the world will end on 6/6/6. If the beginning of the 'devil's rule' takes place on 6/6/6, it won't be the end of the world until after he reigns for... however-many years. x.x
Plus, the end of the world is not to be known by anyone, supposedly, leading one to believe that a spontaneous end to the earth is either impossible or inconceivable to the minds of men. Therefore, a date such as that, if the Bible is accurate, has no bearings concerning the end of the world.
It makes for something to tease friends about, though (especially those who share that date as their birthdays or scored 666th on their SATs. XD)

Time started at 1 AD?

No, merely the concept of time from which the upcoming date of 6/6/06 has been based upon. 19 times modern mans "666" date has arose, and 19 times, we've come out with candies. As I added to the end of the statement, time is a concept of man. To assume that God/Satan would allow/create the destruction of the world based upon mans own flawed concepts of time is just... stupid.
Trace Stratus - June 2, 2006 03:24 PM (GMT)
06/06/06= 60,606 :P Nope, to late for 666.

Don't you know!? The 'devil's rule' started on until January 20, 2001!? Jk to the people who get it. ;)
SpiralStatic - June 2, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
XD>... nice one... I wonder how many people will actually get that one...
legoroy2 - June 2, 2006 05:17 PM (GMT)
.... nope. What's the devil's rule?
Trace Stratus - June 2, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
Another way of saying the 'devil's reign' or when he took over.

Death Love - June 3, 2006 06:02 AM (GMT)
As a muslim, I believe the world will end, but it isn't up to us humans to decides in my belief. For all I know it could be tomorow morning. I can't really say you're wrong or even say that you are right.
legoroy2 - June 3, 2006 11:52 AM (GMT)
Only people who believe it will die. Simple.
Whatever you believe is what happens when you die. (Gaming Heaven! :o *drool*)
Missy_Roxx_Meh_Soxx - June 3, 2006 01:57 PM (GMT)
Agreed lego. Trace, you are right. The number is not 666. It's 60,606.
grondring - June 3, 2006 03:46 PM (GMT)
Not really. I'm somewhat of a rogue montheist myself, so I do believe in a divine apocalypse of sorts, but it's not up to me what that would be, hm? Though I think it'd be great fun to live in the end times.
(On a somewhat related note, did you know that the United States alone possesses enough nuclear weapons to wipe out all life on Earth ten times over?)

Heh, I too think it would be enjoyable to live in a post-apocolyptic time.
Trace Stratus - June 4, 2006 11:00 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't. :/ I want to accomplish all my dreams and goals.
Lades - June 4, 2006 11:22 PM (GMT)
True...I wanna start my business.

Only if eight people (How about eight of the greatest of us? Sounds fun. ^_^ ) took over and tried ruling over everything.
Yep, normal, except for the abnormally large cement mixers throughout my neighborhood. Their just sitting... No construction workers are anywhere near them. Hmm...
Valter - June 6, 2006 05:03 PM (GMT)
Nothing would have happened anyway.... >.<
grondring - June 6, 2006 05:06 PM (GMT)
Hey, the day's not over yet. Maybe it'll happen at 6 PM. The sixth hour of the sixth day of the sixth month? Hey, why not? I'll wear my crucifix just in case. :P

Is very weird! My post I timed for 12:00 this morning is gone.
