Title: Addressing the many complaints about Hiei...

Alex - June 6, 2006 12:33 AM (GMT)
To the many people who think Hiei has done something wrong: he has NOT yet done anything wrong, TECHNICALLY. However, I have made the rules on flame baiting/trolling a bit more tougher so that they can hopefully prevent any further conflict. People have not been flame baiting directly, which is avoiding and dodging any possible disciplinary action. Therefore, the eight board conduct rule reads:

QUOTE

8. No trolling. Trolling is putting up flame bait, and doing things that will get other members annoyed with you. This is just as bad as flaming, and you will be warned if you do it.  Trolling DOES include using subtext and diction in order to try and cause trouble of any kind.  There technically is no "line" for this, just the staff's judgement.

In short, no flame baiting, which includes using subtext and diction in order to try and cause problems indirectly. If you don't know what subtext and diction is, it is basically impied meaning and word choice.

If you think anybody is flaming baiting indirectly, or directly even, feel free to PM me the post to ensure I don't miss it and I will act based upon my judgement, probably along with somebody else's judgement. There is no technical line, just the staff's judgement in deciding if the post is flame baiting or not.

...Correct me if I'm wrong, but all the many topics that have been closed are mostly due to Hiei's provoking of the masses. While they're carefully worded so as not to directly flamebait, one can tell upon reading them that they were intended to irk the post's many readers.

I'm not biased towards either side yet. I am simply telling you what I've witnessed on the site.

Which is why I made the rules stricter. >_>;;;.

KuraiKitsune - June 6, 2006 01:03 AM (GMT)
Ah. So you want us to report new violations, rather than point out old ones... am I correct?

Hiei - June 6, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
That's why he editted the rule

yea that's right

Alex - June 6, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
Yeah. It'd be unfair to add rules and punish posts from before the rule.

It's against United States law to do so. ... woah... I learned something from Gov't class!

Actually, a forum is private property that belongs to the main administrator. So in reality, there are no laws here. Other than what basically implies-Porn, ROMS ect.

Hiei... >_>

Well, good to see rules being toughend up, it's never a bad thing.
